Just had four nights stay on this site. The only positives I can give it is the location. Being handy for Conwy, Llandudno, Snowdonia etc, it is also set well away from any road - so no traffic noise. However - booking in is done through a glass screen that was more like a betting shop than a holiday site. Then you enter the site itself which seems to go on forever - laid out in zones with numerous little cul de sacs, most of the plots are stony and scrubbed of grass, the 'facilities' are extremely basic and everything looks long overdue some rudimentary maintenance and up dating especially the plumbing and sanitation, everything either leaks or just does not work. A good occasional clean would be a good start. The site gives the impression of just being too big for its own good. Would definitely visit this AREA again, but hopefully on another SITE.

Here nearly every weekend, great location, quiet site, children love it as lots of places they can go off and explore. Toilets and showers always clean. Nice pub with indoor play area, very reasonably priced, staff are always friendly and helpful, children's entertainer on over bank holiday weekends and summer holidays. Previous two weekends there has been two great festival weekends, VW fest and Beer Fest both had fantastic bands playing and free funfair.

What a great weekend we had yet again here. The vw festival was really well organised with great music, free fun fair for the kids and cheap beer on the bar. Even with the whole site full the toilets in our area were kept clean all weekend. The staff were very helpful yet again. We can not wait now for the beer festival this weekend.

We went to vw festival last weekend and stayed at the site. It is an amazingly big site that sprawls across a hilly expanse of welsh countryside. Shame it feels like the site is too big for its owners to keep everything in tip top order. I don't mind a dated toilet/shower block - I can accept that some places have them. However where my acceptance ends is where lights are not working so you cannot use some toilets/showers or taps that run constantly or no plugs so you can have a proper wash in the sinks or not a single sanitary bin in any toilet on the site. Very simple things that are an annoyance and not acceptable. No shop on site that we could find and other people were upset about having to go into Conwy to pick up milk etc.
By the way, we walked along to road to get into the Conwy. We had to walk along the road without paths which felt quite dangerous at times - it took about 20 mins. Although we got talking to another couple who walked along the footpath and it took them 1. 5 hours to get into Conwy so your choice I guess. Taxi back cost us £3. 80 - the site does not let taxis into the site so will only drop you at reception. Once you understand how big the site is - you might be a bit upset with that if you are in one of the further away camping areas. If you do venture into Conwy, we highly recommend Watsons Bistro for food. It's a lovely place and the highlight of the weekend.
There are lots of rabbits on the site which is quite nice. There are also lots of seagulls that are very interested in your waste so don't leave anything out even if you tuck neatly under the van.
We were in the green area, it was nice and quiet. We even found the pub Swallows Nest which was shut for the whole duration. But they did leave all the lights on. Just to entice you to look through the window and see an empty bar area. What a shame, I'd have quite happily had a drink in there.
Bit of an odd site, we won't be back I'm afraid.

Check in was quick and easy. We had a grass pitch, which had recently been cut, but dead grass left so constantly trod into caravan. No views from pitches just in little cul de sacs. The toilets and showers were awful, so bad I wouldn't use them. (good job we had our own facilities). The site is huge and so much could be done to make it a great site if some money was spent on updating the washing facilities and touring areas. The only plus point it is a good location about a 20 min into conwy from footpath in the blue section of site. We were going to site our van here for season but after visiting decided it was not for us. I would not visit again I have stayed in far better and cheaper sites in the area.

Large site in great location. That's the end of the positives, clearly no effort has been made to prepare the site for this season, pitches unkempt, toilet shower facilities the worst we have experienced in five years, no toilet paper in cubicle, no water from showers for two of our four day stay. Check in staff surly, not interested in polite complaint ref facilities. Bins overflowing on arrival Thursday before Easter, come on. Impression is that the owner takes little interest in upkeep of the site and staff morale is low. We won't be going back, which is a shame as with some tlc this could be a great site.

We have not enjoyed our break here, apart from when we left the site. We have 3 children and thank god we took their own bikes/toys to play with. The playground was a 15 min walk away and is in very bad condition. They are building a new one but they have only built 1 swing so far. The toilets had not been cleaned since last year and it took 3 days before they did them. One toilet leaks and there is no soap. The showers were out of order so we had to use the ones on another section which were very busy and filthy. The ground is very difficult to peg into and is very stony. The club house hardly open. On the plus side the location is excellent. Tesco is a 5 min drive away and is a big store. Conwy is a superb place to visit with lots to do. The campsite is very easy to find, Llandudno is just 15 mins drive. We were off site quite a lot and found it superb to get back to no matter where we went. Not sure if we will return to this site due to the shabby conditions. Might be better on different sections nearer to facilities but ours was still under construction as the toilets are not perm ones, they are still being built. So to sum up, very poor toilets/no shower, rocky ground, miles from anything on site (red section) but great location

Visited the site as the venue of a motorcycle rally, the facilities are not what we would expect on the rally as it's usually a real back to basics type of event. However, looking at it from a camping point of view, I can see that the site is quite good. The toilet/shower blocks are clean and warm, the site is tidy and well laid out. The bar facilities are good but could only find a small toilet in there, which I imagine would get quite busy at times. If I had to be critical my only gripe would be the ground, whilst well drained my colleagues and I found difficulty in pegging our tents, definitely a need for heavy duty tent pegs. As the event was run by the motorcycle club, the only staff I met were bar staff; these despite being harassed by hundreds of bikers were pleasant and friendly.

We have visited this site on many occasions over the years and have now decided to use the storage facilities of the site.
It is an absolutely massive site but as previous contributors have said it doesn't feel large as it's split into little copses. The site is colour coded and very easy to find your pitch as it is well signed. The site would benefit from a small shop if only for the essentials and newspapers. All contributors on here seem to mention Tesco in Conwy but there is also an Asda and an Iceland there too, go to the roundabout and go straight across instead of turning right for Tesco, travel up about 100 yards and there is a small retail park where Asda and Iceland are, admittedly we only came across it by accident and it's not signposted at all.
The Swallows Nest is only open at weekends mostly but I believe when the children are off in the summer it's open in the week. The skips are also a problem but with the amount of people there it's only to be expected. Some of the toilets and showers could do with a facelift now though.
All in all, a great site which is only an hour away from home and a reasonable price.

If you need a nice well kept site to just relax and admire the welsh countryside, this is the perfect site for you.
Pitches are slate and grass plenty of room,
The staff where very nice and helpful on arrival.
Toilets and showers spotless, cleaned all the time. Waste disposal and bins are spread all over the site.
Conway park location is ideal days out, anywhere on the welsh coast north or south.
Shops in Conway (5 min drive. )
Very nice bar/café on the site,
The site is huge, divided into medium and large Cul de sacs nice and cosy. On entering the site, there is a barrier system with your own security number given to you on arrival, from reception.
Finding your allocated pitch is easy,
We enjoyed our stay at Conway park and intend to visit again.
