The very steep entrance should be enough to turn back, the website looks like a different site. The walk to the pub and play area has to be done to be believed. Plus points is that surrounding area is fantastic, and close to loads of attractions.

We have been visiting this site for over 4 years and stayed altogether 8 times, always in different areas. This is a huge site, but the landscaping makes it feel smaller. Although the grass and hedges are well maintained there is no other investment, in fact we have seen services disappear year after year.
There used to be a restaurant, a shop and a launderette. The pub is neglected and the staff tell tales of under investment and lack of organisation. (ie Phoned 30 mins before the pub opened for the first time that year 'are you working tonight?').
The area around the pub is badly neglected and ornamental fish ponds are now muddy puddles. The outdoor play equipment is over 20 years old and in a very neglected state. This year however a road side trailer has appeared selling bacon & egg butties etc. Don't now how long this will last.
The toilet blocks are ok and free. Hot water is hit and miss, and can be either scorching or freezing. Plenty of loo roll, but no liquid soap. This also applies to dish washing, with no bins to dispose of waste food etc. Bins are open skips which are emptied weekly, allowing seagulls and other vermin to empty the contents of bin bags over the surrounding area.
We have also witnessed the 'tow on - tow off' service they provide for Tourers. I would not like to see my tourer being raced around the site on the back of a tractor driven by a speed hungry teenager. Also, tourers would be left unhitched for up to 4 days before they were collected. Anyone could have driven off with these units.
Depending were you pitch can result in a very different holiday. Bank Holidays are manic. Despite my negative/realistic review, we most probably will visit again as we know what to expect and not expect. And it is good value for money.

Just got back from Conwy touring park.
We arrived at around 8.00pm on friday evening after being caught up in dreadful traffic on the A55.
Checked in quickly, and issued a pitch in the blue zone.
Unfortunately, no one there seemed to take any notice of the pitch numbers and we had to squeeze between a tent and caravan. Would have asked for a different pitch but, it was getting late and dark, and didn't fancy putting our tent up in the pitch black!
Toilets were okay, pretty clean, showers were free and hot, and dishwashing area was okay too.
Not sure I would go back though, purely down to the clientèle it attracted.

We arrived at the site to be told which pitch we were given, only to find there were tree roots taking over most of it, we phoned reception whom were very helpful and offered us a few alternatives.
The pitches were very well set out with banking and trees/bushes on them you could hear the wind, but not feel it on the tent and set out in a way that it still felt intimate as this is a large site.
The location of the site is approx 20-30 min from conwy by foot (with no footpaths)but very easy by car. There is no shop on site but each pitch has hook up and water points near with toilets and showers close by.
The showers were not the cleanest, maybe its because of lots of campers or not cleaned often enough, but usable. Would I go again? Yes.

We visited this site on our first ever camping trip, the pitches were a good size and nice and level, lots of fresh water points so not far to go. We had electric hook up which was fab. The pub was ok, we have 3 children and they loved the play area and the punch & judy shows.
Toilets and showers were kept very clean and they had a freezer for your ice packs (although it always seemed to contain someone's beer or frozen food despite notices requesting users did not do this)
A great base to explore the area, beautiful views and reasonably priced. We did have to cut short our stay and went home a day early as a large party set up on the next pitch playing loud music until the early hours and continually letting their dog roam free, they pitched their tent so close to ours that their guy ropes were resting on ours, reception weren't much help and nobody patrolled, even in peak season. I would go again though and not let that put us off.

Large site and plenty to see and do, drinks at the club very well priced, however because we were in the purple zone, was quite a trek to the club house. Site on which we were pitched was lovely and quiet, secluded and sheltered but large hill to toilet and showers of which there were only two was somewhat off-putting.
Laundry facilities were very limited for such a large site, two machines of which one was broken and the other wouldn't spin. All that said would go again and worth every penny but would ask for either red, yellow or green to be nearer to all the facilities.
Walking into conwy is ok for adults but for children not good as no pathways and down steep hills there is however a bus that goes by the camp site.

We arrived at the campsite and my husband booked us in we where in the purple area the ground was really stoney and there was no way to get away from that but we did have a new tent and ended up with two holes in the base.
The toilets need updating even though the ladies where ok my husband said the gents where a little less desirable,
The showers were not very big, and anyone with children would have difficulty in showering them in such a small area. The site is huge but needs a lot of tlc not sure if will go again.
We wanted to book another night but the lady said it was already taken and they would not relocate us on such a big site cant believe they did not have any room

We visited conwy touring park after reading the reviews and friends recommending the site.
We were expecting a large field, but the site is set out in sections then into little cul-de-sacs, surrounded by trees. Although initially we thought this was nice, we now know this site is not for us. We camped on purple which was a drag from the club house and main park for the children, which our children enjoyed.
The shower block was tiny which you don't mind as long as it's clean. Unfortunately it wasn't, the toilets were broken, and the showers stank. You could clearly see they hadn't been scrubbed down properly in a while due to the thick black mould and the smell of rotten eggs.
The nearest shop is in Conwy itself, so if you forget anything and you need it in a hurry you really need to drive. The site could really benefit from a shop.
We will revisit the area but we will stay somewhere you can have a shower and feel clean afterwards!

This was our first experience camping as a family and it was really enjoyable. We arrived and checked in with reception and were given instructions to get to our pitch within the red section, the pitch was a nice size and easily accommodated our tunnel tent with porch. We had chosen a 16 amp EHU and this was more than adequate for our needs.
The park is clean and well maintained and the toilet block in the red section was always clean and stocked with loo roll during our stay and the showers were lovely and warm. As others have stated more hooks would be useful in the shower area to keep clothes and towels off the floor. During our stay someone attempted to flush a whole toilet roll in the gents and caused a blockage but this was resolved early the next day.
The site is huge and it was quite a distance from our section to the pub and play areas and we only visited once. The pub is a little dated and the drinks were quite expensive, we had to sit outside as we had a small dog with us, unfortunately children/teens appeared to be unsupervised in this area and we had to listen to them shouting screaming and swearing at one another. I recognise that this is not the the parks fault but it certainly would put me off using the leisure facilities again if we returned.
The local area is beautiful and it is only a short drive to the walled town of Conwy where you can stock up on essentials and try your hand at crabbing from the harbour wall. If you were to head left when you left the park and continue along this road you will be rewarded with the most spectacular views of the estuary and just beyond if you followed the signs for the aquatic centre you would find a little germ of a place, which offers reptiles and fish. In addition to this there is fishing by the day and the dutch pancake house, a small playground, additional attractions included otters, capybara chickens and ducks. Best of all, apart from the fishing it was free.

As a first time camper with 3 little kids, I chose this park as it had good reviews from friends.
We stayed in the green area, which had a little woodland area (the kids thought it was their own forest!)
The toilets where clean and so were the showers, however trying to shower a 4 and 2 year old in the shower cubicles was a bit of a nightmare, not much space.
The showers are powerful, however the hooks where you hang your towel etc was a bit too close to the shower and most of the time the clean clothes/towels got soaked.
Apart from the showers the site was good, the bar/kids play area and park were good too.
The views surrounding the area are breathtaking, I will be going again as the kids loved it!
