We visited for one week, but loved the place so much we decided to keep our caravan there for the rest of the season. The pitch we had been given was on 'green' which is actually a seasonal area. Although the site was busy it wasn't overcrowded or jammed in like a lot of sites are in peak times. The site is huge.
Some areas are on one side of the mountain and a substantial 10-15 minutes walk down to the area we were in, which was very close to all the facilities (laundry room, outdoor play area, bar etc).
The facilities in this site are very good. We had a lovely toilet block, with ample sinks on a countertop for washing and plug sockets etc. They were cleaned twice daily. A nice touch is the drying room. Small room with radiator in and hanging pegs, you could use to dry off anything wet, coats etc.
Shower block was a bit more of a walk but not far. Again, plenty of showers for all, never had to wait, and this was August and the block was shared with a nearby camping field. The showers were free (major plus) and were actually too hot on some occasions.
There were sinks here with mirrors and sockets for hairdriers etc. There was a freezer here for freezer packs too. For a site this size the play area was a disappointment. They have it in a huge area, but only 2 swings, a tyre swing and a wire line with tyre. They need to improve this.
The bar was open from early evening on weekend. During the summer holiday they had entertainment on for kids, which was good. Bit repetitive as the same is on every week, but good if your only there a week. The big plus for this site is the indoor play area next to the bar open in the evenings.
They have a large climbing frame (but like a indoor play barn), and a ball tent for little ones. An area off this, just for teens, didn't appear to be in use, maybe no-one interested, although there was someone sat on the door stopping little kids going in. The drinks are reasonable.
The whole bar is looking very shabby and old. Stained tables, ripped seats etc. The patio area outside is overgrown and unloved, hardly anyone sat outside even in the nice weather. This is true for the whole site. It needs a major injection of TLC. Its such a shame because with some improvements the site could be amazing. They really don't offer any service to guests.
They should open a shop. Consider selling food in the bar, they look to have the facilities (old serving hatch, kitchen etc). We would have enjoyed eating a meal on the patio in the summer. Even snacks, cafe food, nothing major. Most people felt this. Sort out the play area. Install a play area on the side of the site nearer the entrance, if you're on the far side of site the play area is way too far away.
The site strikes you as one someone used to look after, but have lost interest. The lady in the office who seems to manage the place volunteered she hates caravans ! Kids loved playing in all the wooded areas and stream, den building etc.
The site is walking distance to town, Just. Although there is no path and the cars drive fast along the road. Pleasant down hill into town, hard walk back, particularly if youre on the other side of the site as that's an extra 15 minutes !
There are loads of amazing days out nearby. Lots of walks, cycle paths, beaches, proms, shops, National Trust places etc. Conwy itself is beautiful. We love it. All in all, if the price was less we'd stay here permanently. For the price they charge for seasonal you really need to upgrade the site and provide better services as outlined. For a weeks holiday, be very hard to beat.

Having looked at a lot of sites in north Wales, we decided to book at Conwy touring park. Checking in was easy we were given the gate code and map. Upon arrival at our pitch blue area g15 and h14, very nice slightly uphill pitch but ok. The view from behind the trees was an amazing view of the estuary. After pitching we explored the site a bit, the only let downs (apart from weather) was the lack of freezers for your ice blocks, we only found 1 freezer near the red section. Also my wife struggled to find a socket for her hair drier. Overall a nice site

Echoing other users this is a very large site but it is well laid out and doesn't feel like it.
The pitches are a good size and not on top of each other. Several were waterlogged, though the rain was very heavy! There were lots of people on the site - though it didn't feel overcrowded - late at night though it was a bit noisy (at 3am some party / shrieking could be heard). I did see some uniformed security staff patrolling at night though.
The roadways on the site are very rough and bumpy - suffering from some nasty pot holes (along with the rest of the UK) which to their credit they are currently patching.
The toilet and shower blocks are dotted about - the gents nearest us was dirty on several occasions (some people are animals) and two out of the three cubicles had not got locking doors. One of the loos refused to flush.
The showers have one long channel draining all the way through the line of cubicles - make sure you are in the first one if you don't want everyone elses water floating past you!
The ladies facilities were cleaner and working properly - though take your own loo roll as there was not much to be had and no soap
There did not appear to be anywhere at all to dispose of grey waste water - people just dumped it on the pitches / in bushes - nice.
The children's outdoor play area was weedy, the sand pit base to the equipment full of wood and the equipment itself seemed to have been mended with offcuts of timber - sharp edges and screws sticking out - not great for little ones really.
There is a fish pond in the kiddies area - fenced off - with a rickety fence - not a good idea in my view.
The bar was pleasant (not usually our kind of thing) but reasonable prices and very pleasant staff - not at all 'club' ish.
If you have onboard facilities it is in a nice spot, with some cracking views and plenty of walking areas. It is also handy for Conwy, Llandudno etc

This is an enormous site and the facilities are fine, plenty of them and well maintained.
The pub etc is a little tired and there are lots of not very well controlled kids running around - this is not the fault of the site however but of the neglectful parents who just want to sit in the pub.
For us, the site is too big and too busy but we prefer smaller sites. It is very conveniently situated for exploring Conwy and the surrounding area.

Overview:
On a steep hillside up one side & down the other. Secure barrier in out out of site. Well organised check-in & receptionist to welcome us. Good location for visiting Conwy Llandudno etc.
Pros: Good Location, level pitches lots of water points & no probs with EHU. Price was reasonable for peak season. £22pn without Awning & 10amp EHU.
Cons: Steep access road up to & throughout site. We were in Red bay which has no views. Toilet & showers were ok but could do with updating. Elsan point grotty!. Bins were open skips dotted around the site. We didn't bother with the clubhouse it was miles away so cannot comment on that only to say it looked a little tired. We couldn't let our 11yr old go to the playground as it was just too far away from our caravan & as the site was so big & like a maze I'm not sure he would have found his way back!
A lot of earthmoving machinery working all day, everyday, while we were there creating mud & dust constantly & I was disappointed no-one told us this was going on as we only booked the week before.
Overall my advice is don't stay on Red or Purple zones if you want a view of any kind other than hedges.

We have been to this site in previous years & have never been disappointed.
The toilet block was kept remarkably clean even though the weather was not as favourable as we had hope for, so a lot of muddy feet can make a terrible mess. However, they really did a good job. When one toilet block is being cleaned, you will always find another one near by to use.
The club house & children's play area appeared to be a bit manic, and not the kind of place I would particularly visit again. Quite a few children seemed over the required age and height limit and there didn't appear to be many adults or parents there to supervise. Anyway, other than that there was a DVD on and my little ones were delighted to be able to get a little 'fix' of tv for half an hour.
I thought this was a good family site & would we use it again?.YES! Hopefully we will get the sunshine next time.

We chose this site as it seemed the best choice to visit Llandudno and had the facilities we needed ie ehu, good pitch sizes and child and dog friendly. I was a bit put off by the extensive booking procedure which we did over the phone. This involved answering questions such as the colour of the dog and the gender of the baby - I thought this was strange and over the top but my sister felt comfortable with it as it clearly had something to do with security.
We found the park very easily and checked in which was straightforward enough. We were booked in in the Red area, squashed in amongst mainly caravans and large tents. We wouldn't have paid much mind to this except just around the corner in the Blue areas there were pitches aplenty. I would have liked to have chosen my own pitch or would of liked to have been asked if we would like a quiet spot or not.
We paid in the region of £22.00 for three adults, one child, one dog, one car, day tent and ehu which we thought was very good.
Like others have pointed out the showers could do with having more than one hook or a shelf. I was very surprised that there was no baby changing facilities in the Red shower block I do not know if there are appropriate facilities elsewhere on the site.
In part, a site which still has some improvements to make, a little bit of attention to detail maybe but overall a pleasant site and we will book in again mindful to ask for a pitch which best suits us.

We stayed here as a party of three tents & a caravan.
The site is set in beautiful surroundings & the pitches are of adequate size for tent & car. The electrify hook up, for us, proved invaluable.
The only downside on the pitch was the ground was rockhard so you need strong steel pegs.
The toilet block was clean & tidy with adequate hot water.
As there there was eight of us ( & a dog ) in our group, we made our own entertainment with barbecues etc, so we did not use the clubhouse or playground so I cannot comment on those facilities.
As the weather was in our favour, some of our group took the the dog for walks (not me) & were amazed at the views & scenery.
We did our shopping at Tescos in Conway which was just a few miles away.
Overall, a very pleasing bank holiday weekend.

ARRIVAL - Easy to find and hard to miss the wide steep entrance road. Checking in at reception was quick and easy with the friendly staff who handed over a map with brief directions to our pitch, along with the necessary code for the gate. Within 10 minutes of arriving we were at the pitch ready to set up.
PITCH - We had a non-electric pitch which was only just big enough for our 6 man dome tent, but we were in what can only be described as a small wooded glade with only two other neighbours which more than made up for the tight space. Later we had a walk around the vast site and noticed that the tents on EHU pitches seemed to have a lot more room, but they also had more neighbours. As previous reviewers have mentioned, you wouldn't know you were on such a large site as each area only has about 20 or so pitches (apart from our little cosy nook of course). Ground was a little stony about a couple of inches under the grass and ended up with some bent tent pegs, but managed in the end.
FACILITIES - We were in one of the Green areas with a toilet block close at hand along with dish washing area and drying room (just a small hot room with hooks on the wall for any wet towels or clothing to dry out). The road to the toilets had some welcome lighting for those early hours trips. Toilets appeared to have been cleaned at least a couple of times during the day.
Showers were in a larger block (with more toilets) past the skip (for your bin bag supplied at reception), and through some caravans, a little bit of a trek but not unbearable. Never had to queue for the showers, but found the water temperature dropped from fairly warm at 9am to barely warm at 10am. Maybe the early risers got all the hot water! Pressing the button every few seconds wasn't too much of a problem. There were also washbasins in three-sided cubicles affording some privacy if you didn't fancy a shower.
Outside the building was a small chest freezer to re-freeze your cold blocks at any time day or night free of charge.
AROUND THE SITE - The site has many roads and footpaths to explore including areas where it's safe to let your dog off the lead.
THE CLUB - The bar was a surprise as rather than the cheesy campsite club full of misbehaving kids and even more misbehaving parents this one was more like a local pub. The drinks prices were fairly reasonable, and there was a good range of draught beers and bottled drinks. The draught Theakstons was extremely well kept and tasty. We never do clubs normally on holiday, but this was such a nice place with friendly staff that we spent three of our four nights there, including the Wednesday quiz night. I think they also do some entertainment on a weekend, but were there during the week. Plenty of undercover seating outside if you have the dog with you. There is a family area for children under 14, and an indoor play area attached.
LOCATION - The location is ideal for visiting both inland and coast with Trefriw, Llanrwst, and Betws-y-Coed only a short drive away. Going the other way you are two minutes drive from historic Conwy (the walk on the walls can be as exciting as any theme park roller coaster), and a few minutes more from the beautiful, uncrowded beach of Penmaenmawr with it's excellent cafe, kids paddling pool (with waterfall) and of course those all important public toilets. The kids will also love the artwork in and around the tunnel under the railway. So many other wonderful places in the area and I could spend all day talking about them.
SUMMARY - It's a big site, but doesn't feel like it, with level pitches throughout (from what we saw). Ideal for families and couples alike. No on-site shop, but excellent convenience store open until 9pm in the village, along with a fish and chip shop (not the best, but friendly and convenient if you don't feel like cooking).
The site charge per tent, and don't seem to discriminate against large tents, we paid just short of £18 per night for a largish tent with 2 adults, a 17 year old, a 14 year old and a dog. That's value for money.
We would recommend the site and although we like to explore different parts of the country we may well go back again next year.

We arrived as a large party of 20 people during the half term/bank holiday week and the site was extremely busy. The pitches we were allocated were all very spacious with plenty of parking for the cars and a trailer. We were all in what was known as the 'blue' area where the ground was rocky and hard,as seemed the rest of the site, so a supply of steel pegs would be a good idea to take with you. Unfortunately for such a large site there was no campsite shop for the essentials, so it was necessary to keep nipping down the road to either the village shop (about 1 mile) or into Conway (about 2 miles)to keep stocked up.
The many shower and toilet block facilities were kept very clean and tidy despite the large number of visitors, although sometimes the water wasn't as hot as you might like.
The location, and the views from the site, are spectacular, looking over to Snowdonia and the surrounding countryside and coastline. For dog owners there are a multitude of lovely walks from every aspect of the site. We took ours down to the river and along the lanes and footpaths and back around to the site which was about 3 miles in total of fairly easy walking and breathtaking scenery.
We spent two nights there and barbequed both nights, so we didn't use the site clubhouse facilities, but the clubhouse did seem very popular.
From the site you are able to visit many of North Wales' resorts and attractions within a short distance, so if you have children they will never become bored!
We really enjoyed our stay, as did the rest of our party, and we would definitely return again.
