Our first time at this site and first year of camping. So what can we state about this site? Firstly the reception team friendly and a good welcome, we originally booked for 5 days but extended for 7, to which the staff sorted for us pleasingly, even if we had to come back a day later to confirm due to lack of computer knowledge.Lol The reason why we extended our stay was the sheer beautiful views on site if you take the trouble to walk round the site and the accessability to the surrounding areas. Yes we were a little miffed having to walk to the next toilet block etc. but we had the luxury of being in a field on our own (sheer bliss). Nature in abundance, running battle with the squirrels on who got to eat the bread supply, but look if your looking for a well run site its here. A personal thankyou to the cleaning team, boy they know how to do their job! Campers friendly met people who come back here time after time This site is well worth a visit give it a try safe clean amazing views chance it we loved it and will return

We stayed in the 'red' section. The pitches were level and spacious with EHU. Prices were fairly reasonable. About £20 a night for 3 adults and 2 kids over the bank holiday. They seemed to keep tents and caravans separate. Even though the site is very big the pitches are arranged in areas of about 20 units that are separated by trees and hedges that mean you aren't really aware of how many other units there are.
Shower blocks were ok (although very short bursts on the push button and not all worked efficiently) clean first thing in the morning.
We didn't try the onsite bar or play area as it was a fair old walk from our pitch and the rain put us off exploring a bit!(The place is spread out over a huge area)so can't comment on these.
A couple of people have mentioned the bins- there were skips at various locations and they were very full for the five days we were there.
As it was such a big site it did miss the personal touch that you get on some sites and to be honest some areas seemed a little bit unloved. Eg quite a bit of rubbish had been thrown over a wire fence by the shower block and looked like it had been there a while.
There is no shop on site as mentioned in other reviews but a spar type shop about a mile away. Also a big Tesco about 5 mins drive away in Llandudno Junction where there is also a multiplex, leisure centre and the usual 'chain' fast -food places. Macdonalds, Pizza Hut and KFC if you run out of gas!
Loads to do in the area Conwy is a lovely town and there are castles with towers to climb which always keeps my youngest happy!
Overall ok as a base for visiting the area.

Just returned from this site, as with other reviews, the site could benifit from an onsite shop.
We were situated in the red area with EHU, the toilets, showers were very clean, we did have to wait for the showers as only two per block. As you can imagine with half term this was very busy!
The playground for the children is ok my son enjoyed hanging out with friends at the play area next to merlins bar.The bar located on site was fairly priced and not too busy.
We enjoyed our stay on the site the other campers were very friendly.
The only thing we were concerned with were the bins and the fact they were overflowing with litter, after chatting to other campers they advised in the whole ten days of them camping the bins had not been changed.
We are definatley looking to book again for August I have a feeling we will struggle to get in as this does seem to be a popular site.
The location of the site is great we visited Conwy and Llandudno, both great places with lots of things to do and see.

We have just returned from a short break (3 nights) at this campsite. Pitches were nice and flat, toilets were OK but some of the doors would not lock and there was no soap at the wash basins. The showers were warm and free!
The site lacks a shop which I think would be very useful.
Bar and childrens play area were good but the first day we arrived we had a look around and there were no signs of when or if they were open. I think they opened about 8pm.
Would recommend, not sure if we'd return there again. We probably did all the tourist attractions this time and it's nice to travel to different parts of the country.

My boyfriend (23) and I (22) stayed at this site for a glorious 3 days in September. The weather was fantastic and it was the nicest 3 days we have had in summer all year.
Anyway , we stayed in the green area of the campsite which is furthest away from the reception that it could possibly be. The facilities there were OK. Hot water in the showers, toilets and wash basins (what else do you need) .
There is a lack of a on site shop , which I think the site would benefit from. Also the pub was not open when we were there. I think as the site is a bit of a walk to the nearest pub then they should consider the people staying there and open throughout the year.
It was about a mile to walk to the reception from our plot which was a bit of a shame, as even if you wanted to go out on a night , you had to walk a mile to order a taxi. However on one of the nights we did walk into conwy which was a 2.5 mile walk from our tent into the centre . The pubs were quiet and there didn't seem to be much nightlife going on, but if you want that kind of thing, I suggest you camp in Rhyl instead.
We visited the Welsh Mountain Zoo which was great as i'm a bit of an animal lover and have to go to the zoo whenever were on holiday. I would recommend a visit. Llandundno was also good and only a short drive away.
This campsite is very centrally locatedand many places are onlya short driveaway and I would recommend a visit.
Would I go again ? NO (not because there was anything wrong with it .)
There is too much of the world to explore to go to the same places and we plan to visit a different part of the country when next camping.

I do try to be very positive with each review but I must admit when we first arrived at the campsite I was appalled! Although the Park is huge and there are a great deal of pitches, everyone was lumped together which was chaos. Reception explained that several of the areas were now closed for the winter (site stays open til end of September). Unfortunately we had to refuse the first two pitches we were given. The first was a quagmire and the second we couldn't park the car in it let alone the tent! However full marks to reception for being very patient and understanding.
The Park is split into various colour coded areas. We have two dogs so we were in the Blue area. Although we were equal distance from 3 separate shower blocks I was amazed to find that on day 2 (Sunday) the new block in the Red area had been locked up! That left half a dozen loos for quite a few ladies. The same for the gents!
As a result of the low season, the bar and restaurants were closed apart from Friday and Saturday nights. Not really good enough - there was still lots of campers about.
All that said, nothing can dampen the spirits when you walk to the top of the site and see the glorious views of the Conwy valley and estuary. Beautiful.
Conwy itself is an ancient walled town with several pubs, restaurants and shops. Tesco is near the roundabout towards Llandudno Junction - you can see it from the road. There is also a large cinema opposite.
The castle is amazing but not overly cheap to enter although you can walk some of the ramparts for free.
Lots of mountain walks nearby which are not for the faint hearted but worth the effort.
All in all although the surrounding area is great we won't be returning to the Touring Park. The owners have let themselves down - it could be a great place to camp. Sorry.

We stayed here for a week and had one of the best weeks holiday ever! Unusually for North Wales we had spectacular weather.
We were located in the purple area and had a good hard standing pitch which was reasonably level, the site is unusual in its layout with a windy downhill road leading you to the different areas.
Usual electric hookup was there as well.
No shop on site but there is a Tesco's on the outskirts of Conwy about 5 mins drive away.
Plenty of water points but no real motor-home service point that I remember.
The shower and toilet blocks were clean although not all of the showers worked efficiently.
There was a bar on the site which was a bit of a march away, we tried it once but stayed in our motor-home in the evenings for the rest of the holiday - not that there was anything particularly wrong with it, it was nicely laid out and comfortable but I find bars on camp sites a bit soulless.
There is plenty to see and do in the area, Conwy itself is worth a visit, the castle is spectacular, everything is an easy drive away - no more than about an hour.

Just got back from a Two week break in Conwy what a great time Two adults and Two kids. The day we arrived it was raining the ground was damp and a bit uneven but considering the weather that they had had the week before and the time of year it was better then I was expecting. We were on Red 80 it was a corner pitch the tent which was on a little slope. We had a large tent and it just fitted on the pitch due to the drive in front and the terraced hill behind. On some other sections there was more room. The site had a shower block to each pitch colour which was cleaned twice daily and kept very clean. There are new blocks that are more modern but have less shower rooms or toilets. There was no shortage of hot water, and a drying room attached to the toilet block which was very handy for your towels. Also there was a chest freezer for ice packs ect which was placed near the toilet block which was a good idea. Security was regular and friendly. The children play area was ok and clean and had a pub that opened at seven every night and had an indoor play area for the kids to enjoy with security at all times. Would we go back again? yes.

Just returned from this site, spent a great week there. The facilities are brilliant, free showers, washing up facilities and 3 great children's play areas. Its a massive site and there are different 'colour' pitches for different uses e.G hook ups etc. We were on green with no hook up, and its wasn't that far from the kids play area. Security patrolled the site and were very friendly and polite. Toilets and showers were cleaned regularly. The only problem we encountered were inconsiderate campers making noise late at night, which we put up with, but security did come round late one night to investigate some music, which give them their due, they dealt with. Excellent campsite, would certainly return.

Stayed 6 nights on the blue area, whilst we were there the weather was quite wet. We feel we were lucky with our pitch as some further down in our area got flooded out. The facilities are clean and adequate but could do with soap in the toilets and the showers we used did wet the whole cubicle but were a good temperature. The site itself has some good walks and we felt at ease to let the children roam around the tent as traffic was minimal, they also enjoyed the play area. We found the staff at reception very helpful when looking for local amenities. Great idea to have a freezer for refreezing cool blocks, but some people used it for meat and beer! Maintenance work to the roads was carried out whilst we stayed to fill the pot holes which made things easier. We saw lots of squirrels on the site, they raided our neighbours tent one night. We found the site to be a good base for touring North Wales. We would definitely like to return in the near future.
