I would like to agree with anything anybody has ever said that is good about this site, there is a tap on every pitch and the toilet / shower / bath, block is the best I have seen on a site and the corner bath is even better than I have at home. But I am going to have a little moan because the four nights we stayed it was very cold and the various times of the day we went to the toilet blocks there was no heating on and we really could have done with it on.
It is a bit away from shops etc. but you can get the essentials (and newspapers) from the office onsite, Malton with various shops etc is about 15min drive away.
But it is a lovely site away from it all on top of the hills and the views are fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend this site to everybody and would definitely return ourselves but the wife wants to return just to feed the lambs she loved it, she was even knocking the children out of the way so she could feed them (only kidding) we saw loads of rabbit's,some hare's, two deer, one very near the site.
The site owners and del boy were very friendly and helpful and the site is good value for money.
For eating out we ate out at the providence pub which is good, but the better one and great value for money is the waggon & horses pub down at the traffic lights at rillington on the A64. We tried various meals (3 nights) and were never disappointed but pleasantly surprised when we got the bill. We went in Saturday night to find a lot of the table's were reserved, so it must be popular with the locals but we still got in for a meal.
All in all very nice few days away can't wait to return.

I rang up 2 days before we were due to go because the weather looked like it may not be any good. The owner Derek told me that we could come as early as we wanted and stay as late as we liked on our departure day because no one was coming onto our spot which was really appreciated by us.
When we arrived we booked in and were then escorted to the pitch and shown where all the facilities were which was great. The site is a reasonable size and everyone including the other guests were very friendly.
I read the reviews on here before I went and had a heads up on the cows that like the digestive biscuits Lol. We took 3 large packs of smart price digestives and they were great. The children can feed the lambs 4 times a day at 8, 12, 4 and 8. We honestly barely saw our kids they were either with the animals or in the play area with the other children visiting the site.
We took our bikes and the ride was fantastic but then we all started getting punctures from thorny branches that had fallen from trees so be prepared. For my absolute best bit had to be the facilities. There's one bathroom with one shower, toilet and sink, another one corner bath, one shower, toilet and sink, another one large bath with sink, another one sink and a toilet.
Then there is 3 separate shower cubicles with dressing areas, 3 toilets and 3 sinks. It did not matter what time we visited them they were immaculately clean. When camping sometimes you can get a little cold so having a bath totally hits the spot.
This site is in spitting distance of the coast and flamingo land so ideal if you have lots of plans of getting out and about but if you want to just have fresh air and exercise and spend no money the surrounding area for walking is beautiful.
We will definitely go back to this site in the future. We paid £20.50 per night for 2 adults and 3 children with EHU. Ooh almost forget there is also the washing up room which has a freezer and fridge free to use for the guests to store stuff in, all you do is label you stuff. A microwave, toaster, drinks machine which is only 50p, a tv, chairs and lots of leaflets on the surrounding areas. Cool or what!

Just arrived back from our first family camping trip at Wolds and I have to say that we have had a fantastic weekend despite the weather.

This campsite is an absolute gem! The owners went out of their way to help us out when we had problems with a gas regulator (let us borrow their b-b-q cylinder!)

The showers were hot and free, toilets clean and warm, washing up area clean and well organised, free use of microwaves and fridge / freezers. Lovely little shop for basics and farm animals (cows and calves, chickens, pet lambs and a very friendly bull called Sprout).

Locally there are some lovely drives with fantastic scenery. Close proximity to Scarborough, Filey and Dalby Forest which is an absolute must for mountain bikers and walkers.

We had 3 teenage boys and an 8 year old with us and didn't have a single complaint about boredom, despite no pc or x box's!

The site itself has been lovingly developed and a lot of thought has gone into making this place what it is. Letting the kids bottle feed pet lambs and the digestive loving cows are a wonderful idea!

The sites position on top of the hill with awesome views over the vale of Pickering, makes it quiet and very safe and the prices were extremely reasonable.

I just hope that we haven't been too spoilt at Wolds Way, as other sites now have a lot to live up to!

What a lovely quiet site with gorgeous views and cattle.

The ground was quite firm and we bent several pegs setting up, so if you have heavy duty pegs-take them as an option. It was also quite windy, but maybe that's the time of year-not the place to forget your windbreak like we did-oops.

Toilet block and washing up facilities were immaculate.

Wheelchair user info: The 'Easy access' bathroom was large enough to accommodate wheelchair turning circle etc. No handrails by the loo and the shower was in a shower tray. This of course gives the advantage of no wet floors and the shower was large. Washing up area was up a step through UPVC patio doors, but once in, there were seats available. The gravel paths were negotiable- ie not too deep.

Just returned from six nights on this site and can't recommend it enough. Free dogs. Toilets and showers very clean and free hot water. Free microwaves in communal area. Small shop on site. My 3 kids always found something to do as there is a park and plenty of walks.
The people running the site were really friendly and do the place justice. They take in about six lambs this time of year and let the kids feed them 4 times a day. Great touch!

The best site we have stayed on in a long time. Set in beautiful North Yorkshire with stunning views. Carol and Derek are really friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The toilet block is very clean and the showers have plenty of hot water. There are bathrooms with baths, ideal for kids. The picnic area's are ideally situated to enjoy the views. A well stocked shop on site plus the local farm shop selling pork sausages is well worth a visit. Within easy reach of Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby so an ideal site for visiting the coast. The people using the site are very friendly and considering the site was full to capacity it was very quiet. The site is well away from the main road so no traffic noise.

What can I say, we will definitely be returning on a regular basis. Keep up the good work

Just returned from a marvellous weekend at this excellent site. What a delight, lovely clean toilets and showers with plenty of free hot water and even a bath if you want to have a soak. There is a shop on site which sells a good selection of essentials.
The views from the site are magnificent across the vale of pickering towards the north yorks moors, the site is ideal for visiting the east coast (scarborough, filey and bridlington are only a short drive away).
If you go don`t forget to go see the highland cattle and give them a digestive biscuit or two. The site is well run and kept clean and tidy by a great guy called Del ably assisted by Derek and Carol. This is a site I think we will return to time and time again

We have just got back from the wonderful caravan park and would recommend it to anyone. Had a lovely time and the site it's self is very clean and laid out very nicely to appreciate the views which are stunning. The playground is ideal for little children, and our children loved playing on it plus seeing the farm animals.

Will be going back very soon.

Lovely site although we only had a short visit this time. Fantastic views not to be missed once you have managed the long track up to the site. Facilities are some of the best we have had yet with more than enough family bathrooms, showers and toilets to choose from. Some of the floors need an update they were starting to get a little grubby.
The washing up facilities are second to none, nice warm indoor room with television, tea, coffee & hot chocolate machine only 50p a cup - which the kids were never away from - and microwave, toaster and freezer.
Pitches were a little confusing there were no set spaces,it was pitch where you can and luckily we could reach the hook up, just. Only downside was the very hard ground and when the weather is bad it is very open to the elements but the view compensates this.
Hope to return again for a longer stay next year. Would recommend it to anyone.

Just got back from Wolds Way after an absolutely beautiful weekend. The weather was in the late teens / 20's and what a fantastic site.

Facilities were second to none - absolutely spotless, even a whole bathroom to myself!. Three rooms in toilet / shower block with showers and toilets, a block with showers and toilets and even a full size bath! What luxury.

Nice and quiet site with hook up for three tents. Even field with play area for out kids, lots of farms animals for kids to look at.

All they did was play together in the play area and we had a nice 'grown up' chill out.

Roll on next time we loved it +++++++++
