This was our first camping trip with our 7 year old son. He loved it. The childrens' play area was great and there was lots of room to play. There were lots of other caravans on the site but we didn't feel excluded. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and the facilities were first class, extremely clean at all times. The shop had a good range of well priced supplies. There are good walks nearby. During our stay the weather was not brilliant and it was windy for the tent however the facilities and friendliness made up for this.

We first stayed at this site the previous year for a birthday get together and returned to this site again and again. This site is well looked after the toilets and showers are immaculate. A shop which is well maintained with essentials and site owners who are happy to look after you and always wanting to help. This site is well worth a visit and that's why we have returned many times now and the views from the site on a clear day are wonderful.

A very pleasant welcome when we arrived. We were the only tent on the field, which was surrounded by the caravans and motorhomes, so didn't feel excluded from everyone else. Lovely clean toilets and showers - the best I've ever seen. Nice family room with washing area, microwave, hot drinks machine and tv (kept the kids happy on the colder evenings) and fridge/freezer for campers use. Shop with everything that we needed. Site is on the top of the hills, with some great views. Well placed for visiting Filey on the coast and other tourist attractions etc. Will definitely be visiting again.

Everything that has been said i agree with, just got back from 31/2wks at this site and was not dissapointed Its a great site and will be going back again next year. A very windy site we had a lot while we were there but it didnt put us off.It says in the brochure you feel on top of the world and on some misty mornings you could see over a field then it looked as though you were up in the clouds as everywhere else was white. Only thing thats needed is more lights and a couple more street lights as there was not enough .Great site and great owners cannot fault them very helpful and friendly even lent us an extention lead as ours was not long enough did not even have to pay a deposit. A site to be proud of keep up the good work and good look Derek & Carol for future years to come.

July 2005 Have just returned after a 3 night stay, unfortunately, very tired. The toilets/showers are very clean, plenty of hot water, no queues, no hairdryer.
However, a number of other campers were very noisy. In particular, a group who have a caravan sited there for the season. They partied on Saturday night until gone midnight, very noisy and plenty of swearing.
Another group at least went to bed at 11pm, but our neighbours were up at 6am. Our 3 year old was desperate to get home to his own bed. Ask for a pitch on the left hand side of the site.
The site is very exposed and therefore windy, even though we had good weather.

We visited this site for the weekend after seeing reviews on UKCS and we were not disappointed. After we had made the long ride up the track to the site we were greeted with a picturesque campsite, the reception cum shop was excellent. We were told where to pitch (take extra strong pegs as the ground is hard and rocky) so we pitched near to the electric hook up and set up. On exploring the site we found the toilet/showers to be spotless and the wife was excited as they had a bath in their side but none for the men. Washing machine and dryer at a small charge and a washing up room with extras as fridge/freezer, two microwaves and a toaster for use by the campers. Derek and Carol the owners were not their when we arrived but we found them to be very friendly on meeting them. Would recommend the site and will be visiting again with stronger pegs next time.

Lovely site, highly recommend, will definitely be paying another visit, very friendly owners. Great play area for the kids, our older son loved the fact they had goal posts. It does have very hard ground though so you will need the appropriate pegs for it. We did the circular work with our dog and children on the morning we left and that was lovely.

We spent 10 lovely days on this site in June, Excellent is the only way to describe this lovely caravan park. The owners are very friendly and helpful, the toilet block is spotlessly clean, there is carex hand wash at each sink and soft toilet roll in all toilets, there is a choice of showers or bath with a plentiful supply of hot water.
The surrounding area is beautiful, we spent lots of time on the site walking in the woodland areas, which our dog really enjoyed! We were able to travel to Pickering, Scarborough, Whitby, Bridlington, filey as all are in easy distance of this site.
There is a lovely Lavender Farm which is well worth a visit very close by too. All in all a fabulous site which is well worth a visit!
