Have just returned from a mid-week break at this site, with my wife and two children. This is a small site and appeared to be divided between two thirds touring vans and the remainder set aside for tents. There were plenty of electrical hook-ups for the tents, combined with fresh water points. There is a small play area for the kids, and one set of goal posts for the bigger kids. The combined shower block/ reception building is clearly quite new. The showers were clean, warm and at no extra cost. The site is situated on top of a hill, one mile along a private road from the A64 and quite a distance from any villages. This means that a car is essential if you want to leave the site. This was the only downside for me as other sites I have used have been in walking distance of a pub. The upside of this is that the site is quiet. The site is about six miles from Malton which has a large Morrisons store and other shops, banks etc. It is ideally situated to explore both the east coast and York. Camp Eden and Castle Howard are close by. Lots to do and see in York. If you like small, quiet, un-commercialised sites this one is for you.

Lovely campsite Derek and Carol have a campsite to be proud of they work hard at keeping the site spotlessly clean and are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Best campsite we've ever been to breathtaking views nice walks and despite being very busy it was peaceful and relaxing. Will be returning next year. thank you Derek and Carol for making our few days at your site very enjoyable take care and see you next year.

On arrival, after climbing 1.5 miles UP a track!, we were welcomed to this site with open arms. We have nothing but praise for the owners Derek and Carol. The site was clean and tidy, as where the toilets, showers and washing up facilities. The site is extremely flat, all be it on top of a hill. It is in a great location for touring the Yorkshire Moors and east coast. We would recommend stone pegs though or take plenty of metal ones as you will damage alot! The children had a safe area to play in with no fear of them straying onto the main road. They even got a tour around the farm, which was no trouble, and saw a baby calf being born. We will certainly return and urge you to try out WOLDS WAY. It is one of the best sites we have ever stayed on.

Selected this campsite after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. We booked for 6 nights and stayed 9. The site is away from the main road and has fantastic views of the surrounding area. Everyone receives a warm welcome. The facilities are very good - toilets and showers were spotless. We thought the "family room" was a nice touch, - a large room with a microwave, toaster and fridge with small freezer (for ice packs) available for use free of charge and plenty of hot water for washing up. Information about local events was displayed. An excellent site in every way. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Can only repeat what other people have said. A great site, well managed and friendly. Derek and Carol cannot do enough. Soft toilet rolls, soap a shop which I thought was very reasonably priced. Plenty of room despite being fully booked (I can see why). Derek even lent me, without charge a gas bottle and regulator the first night as believe it or not I had forgotten mine. A mile up hill directly off the A64 Scarborough road so nothing in the immediate area although there are a couple of pubs a mile or so away. Lavender world is just a couple of miles away and is worth a visit, also Free entry Microwave and fridge/freezer available without charge there is even a drinks machine with a good variety of teas and coffees and of course the hot chocolate, well priced at just 50 pence a cup. All in all a great site, great facilities and one I will definitely use again the grand children loved it and spent most of the time at the playground and made lots of friends I would recommend this site to anyone with or without children. Well done to Carol and Derek, keep up the good work.

This is one of the best camp sites that we have visited in the past few years. The owners are very friendly and welcoming to all their guests. The facilities are first rate, the modern toilet and shower block is regularly cleaned and there is even a bath which is really useful for families with small children. A fridge, microwave and toaster are all available to use in the kitchen which can come in useful on those wetter Yorkshire mornings. There is also a well stocked shop selling all your basics like milk, fresh bread, wine and beer. There is a children's play area and football goal and the children can also see the animals on the working farm. An excellent site for families

We have just returned and found Wolds Way to be a superb family orientated friendly site for all. The facilities were the best I have encountered, with 2 microwaves, a fridge freezer, a toaster and even a television. The shop on site provides most of the basics at a fairly reasonable price too. The location is excellent, away from busy roads and the views breathtaking. There are a few shops nearby and supermarkets in nearby Malton,it is also an excellent base for exploring. I was there with my two small children and didn't have to worry as the site was completely safe, there is also a park which you can see from most pitches. We stayed for 6 nights and had a wonderful time, we will be returning with friends soon!

Have just returned from this fantastic camp site with everything you need to make it one the best Holiday's in our trailer tent so far (7 years). The site was spacious, clean, very friendly, very quiet, not expensive, with the most beautiful views across the valley. The owners were very helpful and ensured that the site was kept up to the marvellous standards that seasoned campers are wishing for in a good site. If you do read this however, please try and keep it a secret, there is not many of these great sites around! Shops are not far up the road in Rillington and the splendid walks on the moors are breathtaking. We found a fantastic village (Hutton-le-Hole) where we walked five miles over the moors, even the kids were impressed!. I was not too impressed with Danby Forest Park though. We were charged £5.00 to enter (which was perfectly acceptable) but then had to spend more money for maps of the walks surrounding the Park. A simple sign with coloured routes depicting the length and directions throughout would have been much better. This was the only fault in a fabulous 8 days!

This was our second visit to this site and like the first we were made very welcome by owners Carol and Derek. The site is just brilliant for couples and families alike. The amenities are first class everything is kept spotlessly clean and the scenery is spectacular. A great site Carol and Derek, keep up the good work and see you very soon. Thankyou for a lovely holiday. We'll definitely be back!

This is one of the best campsites we have ever stayed at. From arriving the owners could not of done anymore for us. They were so kind and helpful. The camping field is flat and the grass cut nice and short, (stone pegs are advised). Excellent clean toilet facilities including free showers and a family bathroom which is great if you have young children. In the washup room there is free use of microwaves, toaster and a fridge freezer all in really good condition. Its central location is ideal for York or the East coast. We were so impressed with this site we have booked for august. Keep up the good work Derek and Carol, see you soon.
