Picked this site based on recommendations on this web site. Really, really glad we did. Everything good that has been said in the past was true for us. A great site, great welcome with owners that enjoy their job and are extremely helpful. Fantastic views all around us and great facilities for washing, showering and kids playing. Would certainly strongly recommend to anyone. Will certainly be returning (hopefully in better weather).

This was our first trip with our caravan. The site was easy to find.
Chose this site on strength of the reviews here. We were so relieved when we arrived to be met by helpful and friendly owners / staff, who showed us to our pitch.
Appeared to have plenty of room, however do not have anything to compare to!
Mixture of resident caravans and tourers. Small play area and plenty of space for tame ball games. Farm animals nearby.
Shower blocks / toilets plentiful, no queues, fairly clean if don't look too closely! Had good washing facilities, freezer, microwave.
We had a great time here, will visit again. Perfect for maiden voyage!

Booked this Site last minute to escape the horrendous floods in South Yorkshire & we were relieved that the Site was on top of a hill & well drained! We were told to arrive when we liked (as they were not full) & choose any pitch -no regimentation here! - nice & relaxed. Excellent, spacious Shower Block with Bath, picnic benches, plenty of walks within the Site for the dogs plus Newspapers, Milk etc all on Site. Lots of Seasonal Tourers here, which speaks well of the Site & lovely owners, whose welcome is truly genuine!. Great access to A.64, A1, M1 & in a great position for visiting many local attractions plus the nearby Ham & Cheese Pub which offers great food. Truly! a little gem of a Site.

A lovely and welcoming site with stunning views. The facilities were well maintained and handwash etc provided. As we left for the site after work we didn't arrive until around 8:45pm which was not a problem. This was our first camping trip and we were stunned by how polite all the child campers were and there was a great respect amongst all campers as any low level noise disappeared by 11pm. Apparently children can bottle feed the lambs first thing but we weren't even woken at this time. Caution: Don't entirely trust satnav when you key in the postcode - it led us to a working farm around the corner from the site entrance! The site is accessed from a long dusty track but my partner thought it was great as his focus looked like a rally car. The tent area is grass on stoney ground so we've had to replace our now bent tent pegs ready for next time but these are inexpensive. Overall 10/10 - the campsite is wonderful, surrounding area beautiful, campers respectful and prices fair. We will be returning.

This site was recommended to us by a friend and we are certainly glad she did. This has to be the best site we have ever stayed on. After a 1.5 mile ride up to the site from the A64, you are greeted with the most fantastic views you can imagine. The owners were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were the best we have seen. The shower block was spotless at all times even though the site was almost full. The showers were powerful and very hot which is something you don't get very often it is usually one or the other. Even the pot washing facilities were the best we have seen. There is a good play area for the kids with plenty of room for ball games and football, again this is something that you don't usually see. This site is very dog friendly with plenty of bins around the dog walking area. Another thing that really impressed us was that most if not all the electric hook up pitches had a water tap as well so you were never more than a few feet away from clean water. My children absolutely loved the lambs and cows. My daughter was lucky enough to feed one of the lambs which made her holiday. The feeding times were displayed in the shop so anyone could go and have a turn. The on site shop is well stocked with all the basics you could ever need and very reasonably priced. Scarborough and Filey are not too far away if you want to spend some time on the beach. Flamingo land is also close. The only criticism we have is that we were at the bottom of the site and it was a little far to the amenities block. However, another block is planned at the bottom and once this has been done this site will be, in our opinion, perfect. Just a warning though if you are planning to visit this site, take strong storm pegs for the ground as it is really hard. We booked a second visit while we were there and can't wait. I promise, once you have been to this site no other site will compare.

Our visit to this site was only the second outing with our tent. We found the excellent facilities made our stay more comfortable during the cold and damp start to our camp. The spotless washrooms and hot showers (bath in ladies washroom) were a real "home from home" comfort. The fantastic views match the fantastic facilities (site, shop, toilets, washrooms, family room and laundry), easy access to "Moors" and coast, plenty to keep the children happy, especially the animals beside the site. Many thanks to Carol and Derek (the owners) for making our first visit to North Yorkshire so enjoyable!

What a great site. There is not one thing that we could fault about this site it is just how a campsite should be. The facilities were spotless, the location is beautiful and the owners are so welcoming nothing seems to be a trouble to them. The bath is a great idea for those that arent keen on showers (like the little ones). The space that you have for your tent is huge there is no cramming them in. Well done Carol and Derek on all the hard work that goes into keeping a site so great.

This was our first visit at wolds way, and we have booked again for the summer, pitches were very spacious although ground is very hard we bought good strong pegs from the shop, at a fraction of what they sell in any camping shops. Shower and toilets blocks were immaculate, no shower curtains here! real cubicles with shower doors, water red hot, plenty of light near toilet block too, indoor washing up facilities where you can help your self to a range of coffee and tea s for just 50p! Microwave facilities also use of fridge and freezers free of charge! Only down thing very exposed to the elements but the views make up for that, loads of dog walks in beautiful surroundings, and the owner even lets you use his field to walk the dog, please pick up! Cant wait to go back ,central for Whitby, Edan camp, Scarborough heart beat the list is endless, go visit you will enjoy!

This is an excellent campsite if you just want the peace and quiet of the open country side. very warm and friendly welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. Faclities to include family bathroom within the shower block, which were immaculate with the hottest water ever known on a campsite. Toilets were of the same standard. Well looked after and maintained. Indoor washing up room which also had the benefit of the use of a fridge freezer / microwave / toaster / drinks machine and colour tv. kids enjoyed feeding the lambs and there was a play area to stop them getting bored. Spacious pitches and the owners Derek and Carol loaned us an extension free of charge for the electric hook up. Fish and chip shop and local village shop were about 10 mins drive away, and nearest main village which is Malton was about 20 mins drive. Shop on site had all the basic essentials to include locally made produce, Would highly recommend and will go back again!
