We really enjoyed our weekend break at Waterside campsite.
When we arrived we were greeted by lovely, helpful lady.
The facilities were adequate for the small site, which was peaceful in beautiful surroundings.
We will definitely be making a return visit.

Great pitch, it was flat across the whole field and grass was nicely cut.
The washing and toilet facilities were perfectly fine, better than most other campsites I've been to.
I appreciated the sign on the bathroom door about keeping it closed to keep the daddy long legs out, it's not nice having a shower or a poo and suddenly one of them drops in on you.
The host was very friendly and helpful when checking in.
The location of the campsite couldn't really be better.

Nothing unpleasant to say,
The campsite had everything we needed & the views were great! Perfect location also.
An extra shower would have been perfect as there was only one.

Fab little site and perfect for the start of the Pennine way!
Dog friendly, with dogs on leads on site, which is great for me as my dog is a nervous pupper!
Good toilet, shower, pot wash and drinking water facilities!

Great Gem 💎 in the heart of Edale. Lovely site, incredibly reasonably at £10 an adult per night. Super hot showers and spotless. The owners are friendly and helpful.
The site is dog friendly, with no additional hidden charges! The views are 360 which you can walk direct from the site.
If you are looking to do a ridge walk, Mam Tor to Lose Hill, Lords Seat, Jacobs Ladder or Kinder Scout, this site is ideally based.
With a cafe and pub a 10 min walk away, this mini break was perfect!

This is a great little site with views up the hills leading to Kinder Scout, great value, no frills or glampers here.
Honest to goodness camping field.
Only downside is you are between the lane and just one field from the train line, but that is the same most of the Edale valley.
No shop, but Edale is walking distance and Hope has plenty of amenities, I would suggest you bring what you need!
Smallish toilet block and just the one shower in the gents, but the water was hot!

Fabulous location with stunning views. A perfect base to walk to Kinder Scout or castleton etc. Edale village with pubs and shops are a 15 to 20 mins walk away.
A really quiet site, but the road was a little noisy and there's a train track near but the site itself was peaceful.
We loved the working farm aspect of the site and were left to enjoy our break in peace.
The shop on site is no longer open, this was a shame.
The showers and loos were kept clean however £25 for one night for 2 adults and a child was a little expensive in my opinion.
Saying that, we'll definitely return.

Lovely little place, great location just under 10 minute walk from Edale and the nearest pub. Tonnes of great walks around.
The facilities were nice and clean, good hot shower too.
It is right next to the train line, but it's a quiet route and no trains after 11pm I think.
It is on a farm so there are noisy sheep around so be wary if you're a light sleeper.
Fantastic views of the mountains on all sides.
Staff were helpful and friendly.

Found this little gem by searching for campsites near edale as was planning a kinder scout hike and wanted somewhere to stay overnight before. Paid £20 for 2 of us in total, they didn't charge for our dog or our car, whereas a few other campsites in the area did.
On arrival (7. 30pm) we were greeted at the gate and were given the choice of a few pitch areas that were left. We found our spot, pitched up and walked to the nearest pub 10 mins away (Ramblers Inn) for a pint.
Came back the tent and sat outside our tent admiring the view of the great ridge and Mam Tor, amazing. Full moon and clear night and loved watching the sheep with their lambs.
The following day after our hike we stopped off at a cafe in the centre of edale which was lovely, there was a pub and a shop in the centre also, and another cafe near the train station.
Perfect for what we needed. Toilet block was lovely and clean and heated!
Would stay again and deffo recommend to friends. So pleased we booked here.
