We saw this site online and decided to try it.
After a pleasant conversation and we were booked in for 3 nights.
A 10 minute walk from the train station and we were at the door. The owner greeted us and advised us where to pitch, as we didn't drive we pitched in the small field at the side of the house just for tents. Once pitched had a look around the site, for walkers this site is just what you need, toilets, shower, washing sinks, free hot water and stunning scenery.
we enjoyed the first couple of days so much we booked another nights stay. Had a really enjoyable time here and would recommend it.
Please be aware it is a farm in the Hope Valley and is surrounded by countryside and its inhabitants.

This campsite is surrounded by fantastic views. It is perfectly situated for walking and is walking distance for Kinder Scout. This is a 'pitch anywhere' campsite which meant we had loads of room for our tent. The owner is very friendly and dogs are welcome. The shower and toilets are a bit basic but the location makes up for this. It also can get very windy at times. There is a lovely pub a few minutes walk away and the edale visitor centre is worth a visit.

Just back from our first camping trip in a tent. The camp site is basic but every well placed. The owner was friendly both on the phone and in person.
We were woken in the night by the noise of the trains on Friday, but did not hear them on Saturday so we were either exhausted from walking or they don't run at night at a weekend.
I thought the price £12 for 2 people and a very small tent a little steep especially bearing in mind the basic facilities.
As for the facilities, toilets were okay but the shower space was inadequate (although free and hot which was a bonus).
The walking from the campsite was amazing, both mam tor and kinder within walking distance of the site.
All in all a good first camp site and would recommend.

Arrived Saturday afternoon on a spur of the moment thing. Found the owners extremely friendly and helpful, The site was busy but found a spot without being on top of anyone else, just.
It`s a small-ish field that slopes slightly which isn`t a problem just pitch the right way. With this in mind, if you have a big tent i`d try one of the others as the owner thought my tent was big, it`s a 2-room 4 berth (Whitmore Lea Farm has huge fields and there were some big tents on at Coopers too).
The facilities are basic but clean. There are two washing up basins. These aren`t undercover which could be an annoyance in bad weather. One shower in each toilet block (foc) but even though the site was pretty full the shower was available every time I visited the loo.
They don't provide toilet rolls due to them being thrown around by previous guests but take your own or she sells them in the shop at a reasonable price, as is everything in there. As said before the eggs are gorgeous, try the duck eggs too they`re very good.
The location is the real seller on this site though. The hills all around are stunning. Yes the railway does run alongside but you hardly notice the trains (don't know if any ran through the night but I didn`t hear any).
There are loads of walks from the site. We conquered Mam Tor via Hollins Cross (turn right out of the site and about 5 mins walk you`ll pick up the footpath to your left, just after the corner). My kids are 11 and 8 and we were out for about 2 and a half hours. Then there are other walks as long or short as you want from Edale or Upper Booth into the hills towards Kinder Scout etc.
The pubs are at Edale, the Nags Head is supposedly the better, we never tried them to be honest.
All in all a good, clean site, I was charged £13 (7 for me and 3 each for my two kids) in a great location. Only slight negative, as I said before, if you have a big tent i`d try one of the others especially if it`s a busy time.

Freshly laid Duck and Chicken eggs available daily after 9am, what a treat! My wife and I we're given a friendly reception by the owner. The entrance to the campsite was located on the barber booth road which means no shenanigans getting on or off the site in your car.
There are 3 fields with the toilet/shower block situated at the gate between the 1st field and the other two, practical. Although there was 1 shower & 2 stalls for men the shower was vacant when I went and I never had to queue for the loo, they where clean too.
The campsite was uncrowded and laid back with what seems like a strictly no noise after 10am which is reasonable. We found the other campsite users to be friendly enough and made a couple of acquaintances.
A couple of people we saw there had brought a guitar or radio which they used with consideration for other campers.
Edale is perfectly placed for a climb up to Kinder Scout/Kinder Plateau for walkers and only a short drive from Stanage for climbers.
We would return there.

Fantastic scenery with peace and quiet. This is a really brilliant site with all you could need in the site shop, plus things you could want. Run by friendly hard working people. They even tried to save a level pitch for us.
If it wasn’t for farmers diversifying in this way, the country side would only be accessible for rich people.
We came when the weather had just turned bad and we weren’t in the best of health, but the lady who ran the site was sympathetic and full of helpful advice which made our stay a pleasant experience.
We will definitely come again.

My first time camping and I was dreading it. Loved it! Location was lovely! Views were amazing! The toilet block was basic shower was nice and hot. The field sloped a little but that didn't bother me all part of the fun for me! Owners were really friendly there was also a little tuck shop where we got our midnight snacks. Was woken most mornings by the sound of cock a doodle doo this was great as I managed to see the nice sunny mornings. Railway track was next to us but we very rarely heard them. Lots of nice walks to go on and 2 pubs that served good meals. We drove into Castleton where we spent a whole day walking and exploring. One of the best holidays I have ever been on and it will now be the first of many camping hols!

Stayed for 2 nights and had a fantastic time. The shower/toilet block is very basic as said in other reviews but it is adequate, wouldn't go in bare feet though lol.
The location is stunning and only 10 minutes walk from the pub, apparently they do good food but we cooked our own on the site.
We had a vehicle so used a shop a few villages away, don't think there was a local shop although the site office sold very basic items.
Some other reviewers ranted on about the trains. Well the train does run by the site but you can't complain, you can hardly hear them.
I was woken at silly o'clock by the sheep with bad throats in the field next door, then we were in the country so should I complain about that??
Everybody was quiet on the site, though I did have to cover my eyes (not) when a hoard of 18-25 year old girls decided to strip off and run round the site.
I thought the site was good value for money. 2 people, 2 tents and van 2 nights £30
Over all, a good site and will stay again. Perfect location for cycling, walking etc.

Stayed here for couple of nights, very friendly owners, facilities clean and essentials on sale at house.
Flat pitches, if a little on the small side. Good value at £6 pppn.
Free range eggs and duck eggs are to die for.
Enjoyed some good walks in the hills, tried a few pints in the local pub, didn't try the food but looks quite good.
All in all a very good site for short or longer breaks, with stunning views all round.
Will be returning.

Situated in a Beautiful area. Only ten minutes walk from Edale Train station. Nice to hear the sheep, chickens in the morning and looking at the stars at night. Shower and toilet facilities very basic but clean. Recommend they fix some of the water leakage though. They owner is environmentally friendly, as their were recycling bins for glass, plastic and paper. Can hear a little bit of noise from trains at night time but apart from that there was no noise apart from the local wildlife. People in edale in general are very friendly and helpful.
