Perfect campsite for me and my boyfriend. Close to the train station, pubs, cafe as well as mam tor.
Facilities were basic but were great for what we needed.
A good combination between not too overcrowded and not too quiet.
Owners were lovely, would defo stay again!

Basic site with simple toilet and shower. Pricing is/was £10 per person, so £20 for two people per night.
Which we feel is a bit too expensive given the limited and rustic facilities.
Having said that it's very handy for walks in the local area

Lovely campsite with good clean facilities, very relaxed and quiet - great location for walking in the Peak District.
Booking and checking in were very straightforward and simple, and very good value for money.

Nice, peaceful campsite (as long as you love sheep and owls which we did!).
Friendly owner and good facilities.
Loads of space. Easy to walk to Edale and Mam Tor or Kinder Scout.
Walking distance from pubs. I’d go again.

Nice camp site. Toilet facilities basic but very clean, adequate hot water for shower and a covered washing up area.
Enjoyed our stay, though the train track isn't far away and occasionally a bit loud (not a particularly busy line though and was not a problem at night).
Nicely placed for walks to Edale and its 2 pubs, plus easy access to Pennine way and other excellent walking routes.

Lovely situation and simple site for small tents and perfect for walking up grindbrook clough to Kinder Scout.
Well stocked Edale stores a pleasant 20 minutes walk away on that route.

Great site, good location. A short walk to the local pubs and the start of the Pennine way.
Clean toilets, showers and dish washing area.
Just what we were looking for and will be returning.

If you want to stay in Edale this is great. As you drop down from the clouds into the Vale the smell of burning brake shoes and clutch fill you nostrils but you will soon find your way to the bottom and realise the decent is worth the effort.
Please remember this is a working farm providing stop overs for hikers, DoEs and those looking for adventure.
It's a great location with lovely owners who really care. So the facilities are basic and very clean but we totally recommend this site as a base camp for Kinder Scout.
PS. Thanks for all your help in the great tortoise hunt.

Dog and I stayed in our camper at Waterside. Really simple but beautiful location and good hot shower.
Welcome from owner was good too.
Word of warning (or something to be thankful for) the valley has no phone signal.

Mark was really helpful allowing us to stay just the Saturday night following a cancellation.
It's a lovely quiet site with everything you need for a great time away in Edale and only a short walk to the pubs!
