Last camp of the year but we just had to try out our new tent. We got lost on the way due to bad navigation and arrived in the pitch dark so with the help of car headlamps.. little office phone thing meant we could ask permission to do this first.. little shed shop with honesty box has bread eggs bacon etc. all very nice and all people very friendly we had never shared a site with caravans before but did not find this a problem at all..
Elecric hook ups available and free TV ariels if you need one lovely wildlife and little brooks through out and just outside washing area they very kindly put up the 5 day weather forecast so you know what to expect... thank you very much we will be back !!!

This site is a delight, peaceful and in beautiful surroundings. The owners are friendly and helpful and the facilities are good. There were not many campers when we went in September but because of the type of site it is, we found that the other users were considerate and friendly. All you could hear at night was the wildlife. Heaven.

This must have been one of the best sites that I have ever stayed on. Everything was clean and well laid out, the pitches were large enough that if we wanted we could have had a gazebo next to our tent. The area around the site was so tranquil and lovely places to visit and if your into walking then you cant go wrong with a visit to the Elan Valley, what a perfect place to see the Red Kite birds just souring around the sky. I know that I shall be going back in the not too distant future.

What can I say? A truly wonderful site especially for dog owners. We have 2 rescue Springer spaniels (not for the faint hearted) and they had a fantastic time both on the scamper and in the woods. Oh and we loved it too! No club, no pub just unspoilt surroundings and friendly site owners. Would love to be there bank holiday but fully booked be warned I may book now for next year!

Just got back from this site today and was so impressed that I had to submit a recommendation. This site is fantastic!! We visited with our whippets in tow on our first ever caravanning expedition and we were all delighted. It is a beautiful peaceful haven and I would definately go again and again and again! Everything that has been said previously still holds true, this place is a little bit of heaven! Thanks George and Katie for making us so welcome, keep up the excellent work and I really wish I could pack up and leave home and run your village shop! Got to go now because my dogs are feeling very depressed now they're back home!

I can only echo all the good points made. We loved it!

Owners are especially friendly and helpful. We had pitched badly encroaching on the (vacant)neighbouring pitch, but were told "don't move, stay put and enjoy". When enquiring about the pile of TV ariels we thought for hire - we were told "take one, no charge". No charge for awnings either. A lovely approach. This set the tone for our very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful setting, natural playground for children, spacious pitches. A real opportunity to chill out.

Days out: Elan Valley, which is spectacular & Brecon Beacons for walking. Also went to Pembrokeshire for day. Well worth the very senic journey (despite the mileage honestly!). Bosherton Lilly Ponds, Broadhaven and Barafundel beach were storming. Can't wait to do it all again!

What a great camp site if you are looking for a site that is quiet rather than a site with club house pool etc then this is the place to head for. We regard this as the site to judge all others by!

We were made very welcome on arrival. The facilities were good, toilets always clean and there are a fridge and freezer for guests use.

The site is very dog friendly, with seperate exercise areas and a wealth of great walks locally.

I really can't make any critism of this site. We will definitely be returning.

Very good. Enjoyed a nice, relaxing 1o days here. No shop, pub or club on site (thank goodness) but reception does stock milk, juices & bacon. George & Katie are very friendly and approachable owners. Fantastic views and walks straight off the site which is very tidy and well kept. Basic but clean toilet / shower and washing machine facilities. They are now insisting on breathable groundsheets if you are staying more than a weekend, either that or you will have to move to another pitch every 3 days or so (as we did mid-week). Will definitely visit again.

Just come back from fforest fields, what a beautiful site. Agree with previous reviews, was the best site we have ever stayed at. Spent hours watching red kites, buzzards and swallows. Took our 6 year old daughter and dog who equally enjoyed their stay. Owners made us very welcome and the local pub at Hundred House was excellent, although a shame the pub doesn't allow dogs inside. We will definitely return again and again I am sure.

Well what can I say that hasn't been said, beautiful, clean, flat, charming, peaceful, rural clean, environmentally friendly, showers and toilets, excellent staff, honesty box for all those essential bits, Milks, Juice etc, a walk up the nearby hill is a must. Tranquil.. Escape from it all location, please don't tell everybody about it!!!!!
