We enjoyed our stay at Cloverfields. Since Covid things are still a little strange so the atmosphere was very subdued with no shop or cafe. The facilities are really good and we’re always clean.
We enjoyed walking in to Buxton and doing other walks and cycles from the site. Some suggested walks from the site would be welcome.
The pitches were a really generous size and private with hedging and your own bin, water and electric. The site was very well maintained and quiet.
The dog walk is handy but would be even better if it was made secure so you could let your dog off as with many fields full of sheep letting your dog off is tricky.
We would definitely return. Pretty good location too for Monsal trail etc. Road noise and train didn’t bother us (and we live in the middle of nowhere with no road etc noise) but May bother others

The pitches are a generous size, separated by hedges.
The facilities are immaculate. Showers to die for !

Nice quiet adults only site with hedges between large pitches including nice grass areas. Motorhome grey waste drive over facility. - good. Showers superb.
Facilities very clean. Lovely book shop and cafe 300m form site and good pub within walking distance. Good walks near to site. Lovely scenery and setting.
Only downside were toilet areas. In gents toilets there were Not enough cubicles, hand drying facility was on opposite wall to sinks and near to toilet cubicle so added a problem if trying to maintain distance and the push taps didn’t stay on long enough and constantly had to be pressed.
They could be organised better to benefit all.
Unfortunately reception and cafe was closed due to Covid but facilities elsewhere now fully open so that was surprising and hence why we marked down the overall rating.

Beautifully maintained site. Large private pitches, showers are amazing.
However, I can only describe the site as ‘soulless’ no atmosphere, mostly people with caravans who only seem to appear when walking the dog ….
No walks anywhere around which is what we like, so unless you have transport to get around the only positive is there is a bus stop outside the site.

Immaculate campsite with large well kept pitches.
Will definitely return.
Only issue was poor WiFi and tv reception which was exacerbated by the weather.

Lovely clean site, with great privacy hedges.
The toilets and showers were spotless, and plenty of room.
The site felt secure, and was within driving distance to great locations such as mam and Bakewell.
It was within walking diatance to a local pub, although it’s over 2 miles and a steep hill on the way. We only had a drink st the pub.
Quarry noise was annoying at times, but not too bad.
Nice to have personal bin for the pitch
Would visit again
