This was our very first caravan excursion. We booked this site at Clover Fields Buxton after reading previous reviews and we were not disappointed. Entry and exit is by a coded gate and very secure. Set in the Derbyshire hills the views are outstanding. The site itself boasts large pitches with quite a few fully serviced ones. Shower blocks and toilets are immaculate and would not be out of place in a top hotel. The site has a well stocked shop and café shop open daily café Friday to Monday. They will also deliver to your caravan.
We were met by one of the owners who could not have been more helpful and put us at ease being first timers. This site is dog friendly with great walks. Pond for fishing. An ideal relaxing place 10 minutes from the centre of Buxton with all its attractions. So impressed we will be returning soon. Thanks to our hosts for giving us a very favourable insight into the joys of caravanning.

Just come back from 3 nights at Clover Fields. I rate this site in my top ten. The plots were large and toilet/shower facilities of a high standard. The owners were so friendly and helpful. The café served first class food at breakfast and in the evening. We will definitely returning to this wonderful site.

It's difficult to say anything that hasn't already been said. This has to be the best site we have ever stayed on for many reasons:-
> the staff are open and friendly all the time
>the shop provides great value for money, better than you might expect in a small shop. Also a good choice of groceries and caravan bits and pieces
>daily paper delivery to pitch is an excellent provision
> toilet facilities are brilliant, I have never seen such luxurious facilities on a site
>the restaurant - amazing! Meals can be delivered to caravan, ideal if you have a dog with you. Actually delivered on plates, piping hot and the quality you might expect in a good restaurant.
This is a site I would have no hesitation in recommending to others

We stayed on this adult only site at the end of may. We were welcomed on arrival by Jodie. This was by far the best site we have stayed on in our 30 years of camping / caravanning. Tha attention of every little detail from music and pamper packs in the shower blocks to the service in the restaurant [food was amazing] & shop by Stephen & Jan & the other staff was warm & welcoming at all times, the site is ideally situated for Buxton, Bakewell & many other beautiful villages. Walking & cycling on the traffic free routes along disused railways of monsal, highpeak & tissington trails just a few miles away. Well worth a visit.

Just returned today from this gem of a site. We stayed for 4 nights and cannot fault one thing. The staff are fantastic helpful and very friendly making everyone feel more than welcome, nothing is too much trouble. We had been on a cooking masterclass course and Jan froze our food for us until we left. The cafe is great and excellent value for money. The toilet and showers are immaculate and we will definitely use this site next time we are visiting Derbyshire. Highly recommended.

Just spent six nights on this great site accompanied by family members in their caravan. Great facilities with large hard standings. The site is currently in the process of new toilets being added. The standard of finish in the toilets and showers is very high. There is a shop with good selection of groceries and some camping/caravan items. The food in the cafe is served with as much care and attention as any restaurant. The meals served are very good. The staff are very helpful and can't do enough for you. When all the new hedging grows around the new full service pitches will give extra protection around the pitches. Would not hesitate to return to this gem of a site.

I really can't say much that hasn't already been said about this site but I wanted to do my first review as I think it is possibly the nicest site we have stayed on - the toilet/shower block is amazing the site is well maintained and the owners are brilliant - nothing is too much trouble for them- a previous reviewer went on about all the negatives- no wifi poor tv reception no pub/shop near - get a life! The site is in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside - turn the tv/phone off!
We are coming back again late May - & it won't be the last time

Recently paid our second visit with three nights at Clover Fields and must say that the standard is even higher than our first visit last year.
The new male amenities block is from another world and must rate with the best in the country. The new female block was in the course of construction but the original block remains at a very high standard.
The Shop and Cafe, which was in the process of construction last year, is now fully operational and the breakfast, proudly stated by Jan as 'The best in Derbyshire' lives up to the billing.
As a general observation, everything that Jan and the hard working family team appear to have done is after a considerable amount of thought which has gone into it making it the best site we have used.
Will we go back again? most certainly!

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at this site, this was our first visit to this caravan park and definitely won't be the last.
We were greeted by polite friendly staff who even delivered our morning paper.
The facilities are spotlessly clean.
We had tea & cake in the cafe on Saturday afternoon which were very nice. Breakfasts are amazing really good value for the money.
Sue who was serving us was really pleasant and polite, she obviously is a people person.
Will definitely be coming back again soon. Very quite and peaceful site.
