Our first time to Clover Fields, we decided to go based on the reviews for the site. They weren't wrong!
A superb site offering secure electronic gates on entry and exit, nice wide access road on site, wonderful large level pitches.
The toilet and shower block was second to none, the best we've seen, warm, extremely clean, and well appointed. The showers in particular are simply the best, plenty of space in the wet room design and a chair well away from the shower area.
Best of all are the owners, very friendly and welcoming, the night we arrived a group of Lands End to John O'Groats cyclists had arrived and asked for a meal to be prepared for them. We were invited to join them for spaghetti bolognese. Sadly we'd brought a chilli with us, but, we did buy a very nice (and very reasonably priced) chilled bottle of wine from the site shop.
We will be back, without doubt one of the very best sites on offer here in the UK.

An amazing site. The moment you arrive, you are welcomed by the lovely Jan. The experience is staying on a 5 star, 1st class site. Spacious, individual pitches, beautifully landscaped site including a fishing pond. The toilet and shower facilities are immaculate. The cafe provides excellent breakfasts and afternoon teas. Jan and family are an absolute delight - Tom and Jessica are lovely polite engaging teenagers, Jodie makes the best lemon drizzle cake, and Stephen and Jan are a helpful fun double act. Nothing is a bother to them.
We did 2 walks from the site of around 6/7 miles, with the help of a loaned ordnance survey map from Jan. Lovely views and diverse scenery. Also took the bus into Buxton, which is worth a visit for its Pavilion and gardens.
Will definitely go back.

We have just spent three very enjoyable nights at Clover Fields a year on from our previous visit. The original fcilities are now complimented with new men's and disabled facilities which are second to none with three 'wet rooms' and four WC's and wash basins all of the highest quality. The new ladies facilities are in the course of construction and due for completion in the summer.
What appeals to my wife and I about this site is that everything appears the have been well planned and an enormous amount of thought appears to have gone into every new addition which makes it a fantastic site with that WOW factor
The shop/reception and cafe are now open, the latter currently at the weekends but I understand that plans are afoot to open more regularly. I can thoroughly recommend the Breakfast!
We will certainly be visiting again in the not to distant future!
Thank's Jan, Steve, Jodie and the rest of the crew.

Just returned from a weeks stay at this fabulous site from the minute we arrived we were greeted by the lovely owners and shown to our pitch, very spacious pitches with water and electric you even have your own bins so you can recycle, the toilets and showers were the best we have ever seen, when you walk in the toilets there is music playing, there is also baby lotion, talcum powder. And little vanity packs for you to use, in the showers there is shower gel just in case you forget to take your own, always plenty of hot water, also on site there is a café/shop the café is open at weekends for breakfasts we didn't eat there but from what we were told the breakfast are scrumptious and worth a try so maybe next time we will, in the afternoon they also do cakes and coffee/tea, we did see some of the cakes and they looked mouth watering all baked on site by the owners, the shop as all the usual essentials and you can even have your newspapers delivered to your caravan in the morning, nothing is to much trouble. We met some really nice people and every body was friendly, will definitely be back soon,

This was our first ever journey out in a caravan, we were complete virgin caravaners. We chose Cloverfields as it was not too far to go, had good reviews and no children allowed. It was definitely a good choice. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The site was extremely well kept and the shower/toilet facilities very clean and pleasant. We did not get chance to use the tea room but it looked lovely. We will use it next time as we will definitely visit again.

First visit to Clover Fields, booked a super tent pitch with electric hookup which included own water tap and rubbish bin. Owners very welcoming and hospitable. Camp-site in general, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Shower/toilet facilities were immaculate, plenty hot water and never needed to wait to use them. A lot of thought has gone into the little extras such as shower gel, cotton buds, hand cream and sanitiser. Well stocked site shop. Ideal location for visiting Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth House. Will definitely return.

This is a well situated site for reaching everything in the Peak District. A few criticisms, the dog poo bin wasn't emptied the week I was there so overflowing, the grass was rather long so wet feet every morning from the dew and the flowerbeds could have done with some attention and one of the washing up sinks had birds poo on for days so clearly hadn't been cleaned. I'm being picky but for the price I am comparing it with the Old Oaks at Glastonbury which is truly 5* I didn't feel this site quite lived up to that but it was a pleasant stay.

My husband and I (with friends) have just spent a week on this excellent site. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Our pitch had its own water tap and recycling facilities and was level with hardstanding. The toilet and shower block was immaculate with plentiful hot water and added little luxuries. There is a new toilet block being built which will enhance the ladies toilet and shower facilities.
The shop had a good selection of foods and caravan/motorhome bits that you may have forgotten!
The teapot cafe was open on Saturday and Sunday for breakfast and afternoon. We partook of both (on different days!) and the breakfast was fabulous and we all thoroughly enjoyed our cream teas.
As we have a small Westie he enjoyed the dog walk and the surrounding area and he was very impressed with the dog bins and free doggy bags. He commented that it doesn't happen often enough!
I must comment on their website as it was very helpful in planning what to do with our time whilst in Buxton.

Went for 4 day break, myself, husband and dog. When we arrived we were let in through big security gate and it was at this point we were told which pitch number we were on and where it was situated on site. All pitches were numbered clearly so no problems. The weather was so bad, torrential rain and very strong winds so didn't bother with awning. Took dog for walk that night and had a quick look in amenities block and was very impressed, very clean and warm. Next day weather was much the same except had snow and hail stones as well! Had dry spell for hour so me and husband took dog and had proper look around site. There is cafe on site but unfortunately was closed whilst we were there, looked clean and spacious. The reception and shop were quite small but ample for our needs. It was at this point I met the staff who were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Next two days weather was much the same so can honestly say didn't see very much of surrounding area. I used disabled facilities which were fantastic, plenty of hot water and fantastic water pressure. All in all weather was atrocious but site was lovely, clean and tidy. Owner and staff very friendly and yes we would go back and I will recommend it to family and friends.
