We originally had booked at a very well known site in Derbyshire[it has a very large house in the grounds] but looking at the site footprint decided it was rather too crowded for us. So we dropped on cloverfields. Well; what a gem.
The entrance to the park tells you it is well cared for, and, from our conversations with the owner immediately decided this was somewhat better than the normal caravan park. Very well laid out with the caravan pitched in a large hedged plot. Individual water taps are just but a few steps away and so are the pitches own rubbish bins[hidden in there own private enclosure.
On arrival the owner kindly advised us which pitches were available, and was waiting for us when we arrived. Next question was 'would we like a newspaper' which was duly delivered to our caravan door at 9-30 every morning. Never had that before-ever. The shop, which I understand had just been opened had a selection of most grocery items and also odds and bobs of caravan parts etc that had been forgotten. Toilets were exceptional. Immaculate and included hand creams, sweets etc. The grounds are immaculate. And interesting. The grassed areas are well manicured and looked after. One thing I liked was that there were no grass cuttings to carry into your van as some sites seem to leave them on the surface.
The owner had just taken delivery of her first consignment of alcohol, and was very pleased that this was an added extra that would please her customers.
This park is situated very central to many of the attractions in Derbyshire. We will be back again this year as there are so many places that we could not get to. Needless to say it will be back to Cloverfields.

We regard this site as one of the best, all amenities were of high class, the toilet block was very clean and with piped music which was a nice touch. All pitches were tidy and well served. If you fancy pub grub the owners will direct you to a great place to eat ( Church Inn).
Will certainly come again.

We recently stayed here and my goodness it's an amazing site. So far it's the best site we have stayed at. The facilities are amazing and definitely at hotel standard. This is definitely going to become our favourite site and they will be sick of us returning. I can't recommend this site enough. The owner is lovely, very friendly and can't do enough for you. What is totally amazing is that in the shop they have the best vegetarian frozen selection ever. They are due to open a cafe soon and can't wait. Our next visit is booked for the end of May already.

Now retired and owning a Motor home with tow car, I went out to find a suitable touring site allowing me to discover the joys of the Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District. Finding a great location I based myself at the Cloverfeilds Touring and Camping Park close to Buxton at Harpur Hill. Being an adult only site was ideal plus well maintained facilities kept clean and tidy situated in a peaceful relaxing friendly and homely environment. The park as a added bonus a well stocked shop with a good selection of food products, fancy goods and utility items with a recently opened cafe offering good honest tasty meals and snacks. Being ideally located I could take daily tours allowing me to visit the many village carnivals, wakes, shows and famous Derbyshire Well Dressings over a 50 a season. I arrived the first week in April stayed until the end of November.

Intended to stay somewhere else but my wife did not like the toilet facilities so rang up Clover Fields and they were very understanding and as they had places available were more than pleased to see us again. It was like calling in on friends. The facilities were excellent and clean and this time they had opened the shop, and it is reasonable well stocked. They only had electric hook ups and fresh water on tap that is why I have only given them 8 stars for facilities. The dog walk field is enclosed and we could let our dog run free.
Buxton is close by and Bakewell has a lovely atmosphere for a tourist town. We booked in for a meal at the Church pub in Chelmorton where we could take our dog in, and the meal was good.
We will stay there again when next in the area.
It is a quiet site and does not accept children.

This is a family run site. All the family we met were very friendly and helpful, wanting to go the extra mile to make our stay as pleasant as could be. There was a warm welcome on our arrival and a final chat on our departure.
The site is in an ideal location. Close to Buxton centre but far enough to be away from it all.
All the facilities were excellent. In the toilet block were antibacterial hand wash, moisturising cream, cotton balls, individually wrapped mints, and this was just in the gents.
The recently opened shop was very well stocked including items for vegetarian and gluten free produce.
The new tea room being constructed is almost complete and should be a great asset to the site.
This is without doubt a 10 out of 10 for the whole experience.

FANTASTIC site, can't wait to go back. It's a long time since I was a a site where everyone spoke with each other rather than fenced themselves in with windbreaks, but this was that site! As already stated by others, everyone was so friendly - both customers and staff.
I can now report that the site shop has opened, but the cafe is still work in progress.
The only negative I can think of was the washing up facilities - they were outside, but undercover (but Derbyshire can be a bit chilly even in the summer)!

Just spent an enjoyable weekend at this site which is run by very friendly people.
From the warm greeting on arrival to the time to depart, always a warm and friendly smile and a nothing is too much trouble attitude is always a good sign.
The facilities are second to none as many have stated in reviews before this one so I wont bore you by repeating what has been said.
Security is excellent and the site is so quiet being adults only The new administration / cafe / shop building which, according to the owner, should be open in a few weeks time will be an added asset to a fantastic site.
Would we visit again? We most certainly will!

We spent the weekend at this site and were very impressed by the friendly reception we received. They couldn't be more helpful. We were given a substantial discount because of upgrading work being carried out. However this did not spoil our enjoyment at all.
The showers were second to none and I have been to some posh gyms and these surpassed even those ! I didn't see a hairdryer though. Highly recommended for a good central campsite.

WHAT A FANTASTIC CAMPSITE!
We have just returned from a four night break away at this campsite.
On arrival to the site we had to use intercom to gain access via electronic gates, they asked our details which says to us the site is secure. We were then greeted by the owners at our pitch to be welcomed with leaflets of surrounding area and activities. We were also offered delivery of fresh milk and newspapers.
The amenities were beyond our expectations with music playing in the toilet blocks and utility room 24hrs a day. Shower rooms have under floor heating and are spacious and appreciated in colder months. Very clean all around with own bin next to pitch which were emptied daily. Ample space at pitch for car caravan and awning.
Beautiful surroundings with bird tables located around site also a dog friendly site with dog walk.
We shall be returning to this wonderful site this year!
