My husband and I stayed here for two nights and were really impressed by everything. We were warmly welcomed when we first arrived and given all necessary information that we would need during our stay.

We were given the option to have milk and a newspaper delivered to us each morning. Our plot was very generous and the grounds were in immaculate condition.

The facilities were brilliant - I have never come across such clean and fresh toilets at a campsite! The little touches were so thoughtful, they have thought of everything.

The campsite is very easy to find and is near lots of interesting towns and walks. Thank you for a great visit - we will definitely be telling our friends.

Stayed for 5 nights, our fourth visit to this site.

We have electric hook up, so are not on the actual tent field, but have always had a good roomy pitch at the end of the caravan lanes. As stated previously, lovely, spotlessly clean, friendly site, in an excellent spot for seeing all that Derbyshire has to offer, also close enough to visit Cheshire and Staffordshire. Would recommend without hesitation.

What can I add that hasn't already been said!

A warm and genuine welcome when we arrived.

Easy to find, no smalls lanes to navigate! Spacious pitches with individual water and waste bins, which were emptied on a regular basis.

Truly good showers and nice toilets, both kept spotless at all times.

This was our first visit to Clover Fields, but will not be our last, truly excellent site run by really nice people.

On arrival were let through the gate by intercom, told our pitch number and that someone would be down to see us. So much nicer to get set up then sort everything out rather than parking at a reception.

The site is well landscaped, very spacious pitches each with its own ehu, bin and water. Hedges between each pitch so very private. There is a grey waste dump and a recycling area. The site is adult only.

Shower / toilets are warm and lots of thoughtful touches such as soaps, sweets etc. There are 2 main unisex showers and 1 for disabled.

There is some road noise in the day - we didn't find too intrusive.

The owners are incredibly friendly and must work very hard to keep the site so well. Lovely planting around pitches and some very cute donkeys in the paddock.

Just a few hundred yards walk is a massive book shop, worth a visit for thousands of discount books and a coffee. No other shops, pubs within walking distance.

We paid £20 per night for 2 adults including ehu. A really well kept site that's perfect for a quiet getaway.

We loved this site so much we have been back several times since our first visit.

The site is located just outside of Buxton, so convenient for the town itself and its facilities, as well as the lovely Peak District countryside. The Monsal trail is a short drive away, as is Tissington and the High Peaks - great for both cycling and walking.

The site itself is up a private driveway and can only be accessed by electric gates, which you access by a code. The campsite consists of pitches on three levels, the top level being for campers (huge pitches, you could have a marquee on them and still have room and the middle and bottom level is for caravans (hard standing with EHU and a water point for each pitch. The caravan pitches are also very spacious, with ample room for your caravan, awning and car, and are each sectioned off with shrubs, giving you a good degree of privacy.

The toilet block is modern and immaculate. The women's had 3 cubicles and 2 sinks, plus nice touches like the music, cotton buds and mints! There are 2 showers (unisex) which were huge - basically wet rooms with plenty of room to change.

There is a fishing pool which can be fished (you can buy a day permit). There is also a small shop on site with all the provisions you could need (including fittings for your caravan). They also sell calor gas and their own eggs - highly recommended!

The owners are extremely friendly, nothing is too much trouble. You are greeted on arrival and asked if you'd like a morning paper - no charge other than the cost of the paper itself.

I can't fault this site, it's great. Go!

A gem of a site in a lovely spot. Pitches are a really good size with private facilities. Were were met on our first visit by Jodie, who could not do enough for you and the newspaper in the morning was great.

This site is small friendly and absolutely spotless (never had so many extras in a loo before. Great for adults, piece and quiet, tranquil walks

Near to Bakewell and Chatsworth. Will be one of our weekend getaways.

Booked for two nights but extended to three, this site is great.

We usually use smaller sites (CL or CS) so although this site isn't massive it is bigger than we are used to. The best way I can describe this site is - we usually go for B&B and this is a 5 star hotel.

There is a washer and dryer in the utility room (£1 for an hour), games and books are also available.

Morrisons is about 3 miles away, meat can be purchased from the site (in winter order in advance from Jan - the owner) as can free range eggs.

The toilets (with piped music) are immaculate and have the extra touch - cotton pads and buds, hand lotion etc.

The showers are powerful, warm, clean, spacious - loved it.

Owners brilliant, nothing is too much trouble.

Welcome pack on arrival with things to do, we were restricted as we had fetched our dog so opted for a walk on the Monsal trail, intended for cyclists but a really good walk through old railway tunnels towards Bakewell. Bike hire is available and also ice cream - we opted for the van at the old station, home made and gorgeous.

Will definitely be back to this sit, loved every minute.

This site has excellent facilities as previously stated. The shower and toilet block was spotless and kitted out to a hight standard. The underfloor heating was very welcome in late December as the weather was very stormy. The staff were really helpful and the security gates made us feel safe. I was grateful for the small book and magazine library as I forgot to take my Christmas gift novel. The dryer came in handy for freshening up towels before showering. I just wish it was within walking distance of a decent pub but cannot fault anything else.

I would recommend this site to anyone who wants a quiet rest - we will return.

We have just returned from a weekend at this wonderful site, Jan met us on arrival and helped get our van on the pitch! You can order papers to be delivered to your van.

The pitches are large and all serviced by water, electric and your own bin, very private.

The site itself is beautifully kept and the facilities are spot on, particularly the washroom, lovely little touches like hand cream and mints.

We visited the farm shop in the village, bacon, sausage, gorgeous, we intended to call again on the Saturday to get some steak but unfortunately they are only open during the morning however, Jan came to the rescue and supplied us with 2 beautiful steaks (from the farmshop).

We visited Buxton, plenty to see and do with the Opera House and an abundance of shops. Our weekend was more about our new (old) caravan as it was our first trip out but we couldn't have chosen a better place to go for a 'trial run'.

The surrounding countryside is amazing and a walkers and cycling paradise, can't wait to discover it all. Excellent value for money.

A lot of thought and care has gone into making the site as lovely as it is and there are plans for tea room and shop for 2012 so we'll just have to go back again and again to see how things are going!

One of the things which immediately strikes you on arrival at this site is the exuberance and helpfulness of the lady owner. Ready for a chat or to help/advise on anything you cared to ask of her.

Each pitch is hard standing, individually screened by beech hedging and provided with individual water supply as well as electric.

The facilities were exceptionally good and clean (with a bowl of sweeties in the toilets). The only down side was that there were only two unisex showers which is not really adequate for the size of the site. The owner did advise that she now had planning permission for a new building incorporating a shop, reception and more facilities which should redress the situation.

Security is assured by coded access barrier (although we got locked out when the code was changed mid stay - quickly rectified when we contacted the owner via the inbuilt intercom).

Location is good with a bus stop just down the road and, although we did walk into Buxton, it was a fair trek. A visit to the Royal Opera house is a must - whatever is on, it's worth going just to stand in awe of the ornate decor of the interior.

I would certainly recommend this site, you wont get a better welcome.
