As said in the other reviews, really friendly, helpful owners they couldn't do enough for you.

Level pitches, all the same size with your own bin and tap, lovely views, easy access to lot's of places and walks from the site.

The facilities were good and the wet rooms very large but just an observation, I think more ventilation is needed, the walls got very steamed up and wet so anything hung on the hooks ie clothes got wet. Maybe the answer is to go in less clothes.

Putting this aside the site has a nice feeling it's a great place to chill out we would definitely like to return, that's if we can get in as it's so popular.

We live close to Manchester, and we have visited this site on a couple of occasions for weekends, as its quite close to tow to.

For amenities, its got to be one of the best. You have your own electric point, water and bin for your rubbish. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. We blew the power one evening, at about 9:30pm and it was dark. We just phoned the owner, and they were with you within 10 mins.

The only downside is that they do not have a reception building, although one is being built which will include a cafe. But at present, if you order your milk and/or paper, they deliver it personally to your unit.

When you arrive, you stop at the gate and you ring the bell. They speak to you via an intercom, and will tell you where to go and which pitch you will use (you can change this if you're not satisfied, but all the piches are great), they will then meet you at your pitch. Their reception-cum-shop, is their house which is a short walk away.

Oh, one last thing, when arriving, watch out for the free roaming chickens:)

Had a long weekend at this lovely site in April. Very warm welcome on arrival, with useful information about the site, local walks, cycle routes and places to eat.

Shower and toilet facilities were modern and immaculately maintained. Pitches are generously sized and well screened from one another for privacy.

Buxton is just a few minutes drive away and well worth a visit. The Church Inn in Chelmorton serves very good food and is a nice walk away.

We will definitely return and would recommend this site to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

My Wife and I have just returned from yet another visit and as usual most enjoyable and relaxing. The owners cannot do enough to make your stay as relaxed as possible and the facilities are being updated as we speak, with the new reception / tea-room / restaurant nearing completion. The showers which have just had a make-over are excellent. Can't wait for our next trip (and those lovely eggs)

Just had 4 nights at this very nice site near Buxton in Derbyshire.

Arrived on site to a security gate accessed via intercom initially and then by 4 digit code there on. Upon arrival given a choice of pitches and greeted very warmly by the owners, which made it a very personal welcome and greatly appreciated.

The weather wasn't fantastic and at one point thought we wouldn't get home due to the very heavy snow fall. We were well prepared in the event of that happening but felt confident that someone would be on hand if we needed them.

Some seasonal tourers were on site but for the majority of our stay we were the only caravanners there.

The facilities were adequate, but limited and I wonder if they would cope with large numbers of caravanners using the facilities at once but reassured with the prospect of new facilities being planned along with a new reception and shop

The main town of buxton is a very short drive away with morrisons supermarket and other local convenience stores. Plenty of places to walk and lots to see and do (weather permitting of course).

There is a dog walking area on site and probably the best we have encountered on our travels

All in all a really nice site one which we hope to ore turn to in the future.

We visited Cloverfield on our way back home from a trip to Lancashire. We loved this site - the sun even shone for a little bit which seems to be a rarity for us at the moment! Facilities - water, bins and electrics are located very conveniently next to the separate, level hard standings. The views are beautiful. There is traffic passing quite close to the site but it did quieten down a lot once it was dark and it didn't disturb us.

There's a great chippy a short car drive away. This made us happy!

Washing machines, toilet areas and indoor wash-up space all excellent. New showers are being built as we speak along with the new cafe / restaurant and shop. They have lots of lovely touches like sweets and nice soaps etc in the toilet block and free shelves of used books. We loved this site and would definitely go back.

Just returned from a 6 night stay at Cloverfields, which as usual was excellent.

We could have had better weather but we made the best of it, and did a wonderful walk from the site to Chrome Hill (we almost got blown off the top)

The facilities are just wonderful and always very clean and the showers were always lovely and hot and very powerful.

Will hope to visit again very soon, and hope we have better weather. Many thanks.

Been twice again this year - May Bank Holiday and August - the latter for five nights. The site is just magnetic - it draws you back again and again!

Jan, Jodie and Stephen have become 'old friends' over the years, and are always there to welcome us and see us into our pitch. They even remember which newspaper we have! And have our sausages order ready!

Each visit a little more is done to improve the site; this season it's a new shop and reception being built - using 'in-house' labour. With the proposed tea rooms this will make a welcome addition to the already excellent facilities.

Buxton is a short bus ride away. It has lots of interesting small shops, as well as a couple of supermarkets in the town centre. There is also a large Morrisons at the side of the A6 just out of the town. The Opera House and PAvilion are worth a visit as well. If you really need some serious 'retail therapy; the train to Manchester takes an hour. It only costs £4. 30 return off-peak.

BUT. With so many hills and dales around for walking, and Grin Low Country Park just up the road, there really is very little reason to stray far.

All in all Clover Fields is the perfect retreat. Its magnetism will undoubtedly work again next year!

 What a lovely site!

Had a 3 day stay with my partner and dog.

We visited this site while in the area and what a fantastic site it is, toilets and showers were exceptional and more.

We were met on site by the owners and they went out of their way to make sure we camped where we were happy.

Lovely little pool on site to fish.

We could not have asked for more.

Nice place to explore the local area ie: Chelmorton, Buxton, Bakewell, etc.

We will certainly be visiting again & have recommended to our friends.

Wish there were more sites of this calibre.

Bit of traffic on the adjacent road but no fault of the owners.

All in all a wonderful site.

Most impressive shower and toilet block, to the standard of a hotel. Piped music! Thoughtfully laid out and spacious pitches, excellent landscaping.

Delightful to have variety of animals on site. Impressive entrance/exit arrangements. Superb campsite, minor noise problem with local road and aircraft, both beyond the site owners control.

Did not visit any local amenities, so cannot comment on what was available
