We visited Clover Fields for the first time following all the positive reviews we had read. We were not disappointed, the site is imacculately clean and well laid out. The welcome when we arrived was lovely, the lady let us in the gate and came to the pitch to show us around. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the shop was very well stocked and reasonably priced, and the staff were obviously proud of it. The toilets and showers were amazing - extremely clean, with piped music, and 'products' such as hand cream etc, even a bowl of sweets!
We had not visited Buxton before, and had actually arranged this trip as we were going to a gig at the Opera House, and decided to make a long weekend of it. Well worth a visit! Buxton is a lovely town, we completed the heritage trail which we really enjoyed, and we also walked in the surrounding beautiful countryside.
We will definitely be visiting again

Have just returned from our 2nd visit to this site. 5 years ago we thought the site was good, now it is excellent. Above average sized hard standing pitches enclosed by mature hedges giving privacy, all have water, ehu, and waste bins. The facilities are spotlessly clean with 2 big wet rooms. The addition of shower lotion and creams are a nice touch. A new shop has appeared with a café which is due to open soon. Plans are in place for a second shower block. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Buxton is only 5 mins down the road, giving access to all your shopping needs. We will be back!

Visited for a short break re a friends recommendation. What a fabulous site super showers (wet room) toilets exceptionally clean the site is really well cared for so clean and tidy. Good shop and the owners and family very friendly, helpful nothing too much trouble, such a peaceful quiet site only the singing of the birds could be heard we will definitely be returning. Can't comment on pubs etc as we don't visit them, walked to Buxton from opposite Harpur Hill church nice walk bused back no problem with buses. Can't wait for the afternoon tea when the new cafe is finished, looking forward to the next visit.

We've been coming to CloverFields since 2007 - it really is a relaxing 'home from home'. The owners Jan, Stephen and Jodie have become long term friends and we are always greeted profusely! Over the years we have watched the site evolve and grow. The investment in their time (and resources) is is always a pleasure to see. This year 23 new super-pitches have been added; a new shop and reception building has been completed and the 'Teapots' tea rooms are on track for the autumn.
Despite its growth the original facilities block did not seem to be over-burdended, although a new one is at the planning stage.
The site is well situated just over 2 miles from Buxton town with its Victorian buildings and park. There is a Morrisons supermarket just over a mile away, whilst buses (half-hourly to Buxton) are just up the road. (There is a service which passes the door from Ashbourne to Buxton, but it is not very frequent). The Church Inn at Chelmorton is worth a look for meals
All parts of the Peak District, Staffordshire Moorlands and Derbyshire Dales are but a short car journey away. The Bright lights and bustle of Manchester, not to mention Coronation Street, are an hour's train ride from Buxton, if you really need such a 'fix'!
One day we will permanently pitch here. Until then we just keep coming back. It's irresistible!

We visited for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary (hence picking Adults only site). This is a first class site, excellently maintained in a lovely area with rolling countryside. Shower/toilet facilities are the best we have ever encountered. Very clean, shower/wet room, nice touch hand cream and sherbert lemons. Pitches are spacious/private with hedges with own fresh water tap, dustbin. Very well stocked shop and reasonable prices. Dog walk area with poop bags/hand gel). Construction underway for a café which I am sure will be well used. Stephen & Jan (owners) and Jodie were very friendly, and they even delivered newspapers to your caravan. We visited a very nice pub 1. 5m away The Church Inn, Chelmorton (lovely food and nice atmosphere). We walked on the Monsal Trail nearby through disused rail tunnels (well worth a visit). Thank you for a lovely week-end, and we will definitely be returning (if parents can kindly have our son again)?

Excellent site with the friendliest folk and fabulous facilities. Shop sells necessities as well as treats all at sensible prices. Would heartily recommend to anyone seeking a tranquil break or holiday. Good local book store with WiFi and a short drive to a supermarket/garage It's a shame they can't score more than 10.

We first came across this wonderful site in May 2014 while looking for somewhere ¡¥adult only¡¦ within easy towing distance of Derby, and stayed for three nights over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. From the moment we pressed the intercom button on the keypad access control, we were treated like members of an extended family.
The pitch we were allocated was adjacent to the facilities block (on the middle level/tier) which houses everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, including:
- Two separate shower rooms with sinks
- Gents with single toilet cubicle, urinals and sinks
- Ladies with three toilet cubicles and two sinks
- Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer (with nominal charge) and pot-washing sink - also a handy supply of magazines, books, DVDs and games available to borrow
- Outside (but undercover) pot washing
- Grey water drainage point and freshwater tap
All the internal facilities above benefit from piped music to keep you entertained while you go about your duties!
Without much planning, we upgraded our caravan to a larger/longer model and, knowing that it would no longer fit on our drive at home, we were relieved when Jan was able to offer us a seasonal pitch for the rest of the summer (as it happens we have also committed to keeping the van on site through the winter season as well), and see no reason why we would not continue to stay here for the foreseeable future (as long as Jan, Stephen, Jodie and the rest of the team will put up with us!).
When the new van was brought to the site, both Jan and Jodie separately said ¡§welcome home¡¨, and it really felt like we were home.
The pitches on the two lower levels are generally separated (side to side) by hedge screening while still retaining a nice forward view. Typically between each pair of adjacent pitches is a bollard with electricity connection and water tap, which works fine for us, along with individual bin/recycling facilities, with the main recycling bins being to the right of the shop on the upper level.
The shop, which stocks a varied range of fresh/chilled/frozen products along with beer/wine and other staple items, is on the upper level. There¡¦s an adjacent information hut. The shop hours are 8am to 8pm daily, but we know from talking to other people that these have been extended on occasion if necessary to purchase a few last minute things.
The room next to the shop has recently opened as a tea room with bacon cobs and hot drinks on weekend mornings, and very nice teas (wonderful homemade cakes) on weekend afternoons.
Work has also started on a new facilities block on the upper level, to the left of the shop/cafe, which is due for completion in spring of 2015 (weather permitting).
The Elsan (waste water) points are located on the lower level/tier and are spacious and easy to access with hand-washing facilities.
In the top left corner of the site, there is a fishing pond with adjacent seating offering nice views of the site and surrounding area. There are paddocks with donkeys and alpacas too.
This site is a great base for Buxton and surrounding areas with good road links to all nearby and distant attractions.
There is currently no wi-fi available across the main site (but there are plans to have basic wi-fi available to check emails etc in the cafe area). We use a mi-fi dongle with 3 sim card (Virgin coverage is not that good).
We used the local taxis (booked through the shop) when deciding to go into Buxton one evening and found them pleasant and reliable. We did not book a return to Clover Fields and regretted it later as finding a taxi in Buxton that would stop to pick us up was a bit of a challenge ¡V although it was Saturday night.
Overall if you want a nice, friendly, adult-only site near Buxton, with good facilities, then you should try Clover Fields. If by now you get the impression that we love this site, then you are not wrong. ļ

Well maintained site which if obvious as you drive in and then a very friendly and helpful welcome. Good size pitches with water & electricity. Fantastic toilet facilities but a shame only two showers (although extremely large and excellent). Downside was a long walk up a slope to empty grey water. Buses nearby into Buxton every half hour which was a bonus. Rather pricey compared to other sites with even better facilities.

We stayed at this site along with friends for a long weekend. The staff are lovely, very friendly and extremely helpful.
One of our party found he had broken the key for the caravan external cupboards and didn't have the spare with him. They brought a huge set of keys for him to try. When this failed they researched where a replacement key could be purchased and arranged for it to be couriered to the site.
When asked about places to eat in nearby Buxton, again the proprietors researched and returned with some suggestions.
The site is very well laid out and the pitches are generous and all have a water tap and bins.
The facilities are first class and are kept immaculate. The site is expanding and more facilities are planned. There is also work underway to create an on site café.
There is plenty to do around the area, most of which will require some travel but there is a bus service (although we didn't use it).
Overall a fantastic place to stay and we will be returning to challenge you folks to another game of Kubb!
