Very helpful and very pleasant. We had our 6 month old son with us, so we hired the disabled toilet key, which was great as we could all get done at once. The site is very clean, and although the normal showers are a little dated, the times I did use them they were always hot, but they didn't stay on long and you have to keep pushing the button, which can be a pain when you've got soap in your eyes. The little shop is full of the little things that you need and unlike some campsite shops its not expensive. The baby loved the pool, the temp could do with being slightly higher. Great on a hot day, but once the temp drops slightly it can feel a bit cold. Going back in September

Fantastic park, staff very friendly and helpful, toilet / shower / washing facilities excellent. Idoor pool and play-area ideal for the kids. Shop opening hours limited though there is a 24 hour ASDA nearby. Only down point was the pitch we were given (no. 5) was full of tree roots making tent pegs virtually impossible to hammer into the ground, (pitch would be ideal for caravans only!). Apart from this we all thoroughly enjoyed our family visit and will definitely be booking again!

Great park my only fault was the taps in the showers and on site for aqua roll. Its one of those press down taps rather than turn on and I got soaked every time I filled aqua roll. My husband kept saying " its to save water " but I would not walk away leaving taps on anyway as they are between tourers. Otherwise ok park.

What a well kept, well organised site this is.Plenty of space between pitches, very well drained considering the amount of rain that has fallen! And friendly , efficient staff to boot, it doesn't get much better. No rowdiness or noisy behaviour, and plenty to keep the kids occupied, Table Tennis, Swimming , Football pitch etc etc. Camping area looked equally well maintained too!. Will definitely be going back!

Just spent last weekend here and what a great site. Staff were very helpful and polite. We stayed on a fully serviced pitch that was a good size and hard standing, the tv reception is not the best here due to the surrounding trees. Never used the showers but did have a quick look and they looked very clean but a little old fashioned. The swimming pool is on the small side but ideal for the kids. There is a bus stop that is a 5minute walk and that takes you direct into Harrogate or straight into Ripon. We choose Harrogate as we love this place and it has one of the best Indians (JINNAH), the old converted church, this place is a must if you like Indian food. The shops are ok but dont expect major high street shops! Overall the camp site is great, the playground is a little on the small side and our only other concern is that the entrance / exit is wide open therefore it may not take much for a little one too run off out the site ! Will be returning without fail great site.

We tried to get in here last summer, but it always seemed to be booked up. I can see why. This is a great site. Very attractive and with excellent facilities. We were very lucky that we had scorching hot weather over the weekend and it was nice to have the pool to cool down in. We went with another family and our kids loved it - especially the ducks who would wander in and out of tents, although they could be a bit boisterous at four in the morning - along with the rooks, crows and other wild life! There is plenty of space between pitches and nothing is too far away. The Boars Head is a great pub, although we had hoped to eat in the beer garden and were told they had stopped serving food outside (it was just after 7.00pm). We went on to the Red Lion about a mile up the road towards Ripon. This is a great pub for kids with a huge play area. We spent the day in Knaresbrough to watch the Bed Race and it was a shame we only booked a weekend as there is so much to see in the area. Still. We only live 30 miles away so we'll definitely be back!

Just got back from a 3 night long weekend. Quite busy, the weekend after Spring Bank Holiday, but very quiet by the Monday when we left. Lovely site, only 10 mins drive from Harrogate - close enough for breakfast at Betty's Tea Rooms. Just next to the lovely little castle and village of Ripley (don't be fooled by their claim to 'world famous ice cream' - I've never seen my kids throw ice-cream away before, it's just the cheap and nasty stuff, but the butchers is great - pork pies are the best I've ever had). Very handy for some great locations. We could have easily done a different place each day for a week - Fountain's Abbey and Brimham Rocks very close by and worth a whole day each (call in at the Flying Dutchman pub (Sam Smith's) in Summerbridge for bitter at £1.30 a pint!). Couple of miles from Knaresborough (Found a great family friendly bar called So! there, Scoobie Snacks, Triple Chocolate Eggy Bread, and bags of sweets for the kids as well as very interesting beers and cheap wine). Shower block is very clean and lovely hot water in the showers, even on Sat morning with site almost full there was only a small queue. Pitches were lovely and flat and spacious, most had hookups. Reasonable playground for the kids and nice if small pool and sauna, though it seemed a bit mean charging 75p for the pool when we were paying £20 a night for a tent (2 adults + 2 children). Ducks and rabbits wandering around the site were sweet until the ducks had early morning squabbles and woke us up at 5.30am. There is a shop on site, but there's also a 24 hour ASDA 10 mins away.

We stayed here end of May for 7 nights. Nice caravan site with a good play area and swimming pool which the kids loved. Our pitch was close to the play area and also the toilet block but a lot of the pitches were quite a way from them. The toilet block was very clean, showers were free and always hot. The only down side I would say is that the toilet block is in need of modernisation. It was quite cold and very steamy. The floors were constanlty wet with no where dry to stand. The sinks that had curtains across were very small . Its in an excellent area for visiting Fountains Abbey, Knaresborough, Harrogate ect. We would visit again.

Had a lovely time here would come back again. Pitch was ample, enough for our trailer tent and car at side. Kiddies loved the play ground, and it wasn't too far away from our pitch. We felt comfortable letting them go too and from on their own (aged 4 and 7).
shower block which was ample, never too full and good showers always with lots of hot water, we never felt cold inside. Very clean and tidy. Just a slight quibble, it could do with a bit more area to the washing up facilities, only 2 sinks and no work top area, but we managed ok.
Swimming pool was nice, kiddies loved it, water a little bit cloudy, but we all had fun.
The Wild Boars head in Ripley excellent place to eat out, very welcoming of children, the bistro is very busy so it is essential to book, food was excellent would visit here again, it isn't a cheap place to eat but you get what you pay for!
Ripley is a gorgeous place. We visited Light Water Valley, Fountains Abbey, whilst camping here, great places!

Firstly, on booking there wasn't a problem with our large tent and we weren't charged any extra. We had ehu for the first time. We were told if our cables hadn't been long enough then we could borrow / hire (can't remember which) an extension lead. Our pitch was level and had a nice view over the football field. The site is attractive and well maintained - the ducklings and rabbits went down particularly well with our daughter. It has a playground with equipment for a wide age range. The layout of the park meant that none of the pitches were a hike from the toilet / shower block. One side of the toilet block is more modern than the other but both were very clean. Only the older side has washbasin cubicles. The showers and dish-washing sinks were free. We hadn't taken our swimming stuff but wished that we had as the pool looked inviting. I spoke to others who gone in it but didn't ask about temps etc. We would happily visit again.
