Good caravan site with easy access from a main road. The park has changed since our last visit with more statics and seasonal. Tents no longer allowed. Football pitch, volleyball, dog walk and good playground. Nice pond with Ducks and moorhens. Staff, other campers and seasonal people very friendly.
My wife and I in our seventies here with other family members including Boys 10 and 7 years.
Nice clean covid friendly toilets. Showers are push button with curtains and a seat. Separate sinks with curtain for washing and shaving. We had a large fully serviced pitch with chunky gravel (need strong shoes)
Small swimming pool which you have to book. You can't book the day before only in a queue on the day so we could not use it so facilities and child friendliness and overall marked a bit down.
Nearby Ripley is nice with castle, pub, cafe and ice cream shop.
Harrogate 4 miles for shops and Knaresborough is definitely worth a visit.

Just got back from a 2 night stay and I can’t fault it at all!
Lovely clean campsite with great facilities and a lovely play area for my daughter 😊
5 minutes drive from Harrogate with lovely bars, shops and cafes.
We even managed to book a half hour slot for the indoor pool which was great as it’s very popular!
Will definitely return.

Very efficient check in, friendly owners and lovely position next to pond. Facilities beautifully clean.
Because of covid pool changing rooms closed perhaps a blind or different area to derobe and to redress would be good instead of opposite big window into busy staff area.
Would definitely recommend site to friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed this stay.
The site was good value (£20 pn) and extremely convenient for buses to Ripon and Harrogate from where you could go even further afield on the excellent bus service.
The village is not large but has a few shops and a couple of pubs.

Very nice site with large, level, hardstanding pitches. Enough space for awning and car and patch of grass for each unit. Some pitches are fully serviced and some with just EHU.
It’s a very well laid out and nicely kept site. There is a duck pond, children’s play area and separate play field for ball games.
The only criticism would be that the toilet/shower block is a little tired, although it was very clean.

Went with our daughter and 2 grandsons in 2 caravans
Liked the swimming pool. Went every day only got half hour a day at the cost off £54 all week
Caravan pitches to close
Sergent bilko walking round at night telling people off for nothing
Toilets sometimes closed
So won't be returning in near future

Excellent site with pristine facilities, nice level pitches, ours was gravel with drainage and a tap so nice not to have to empty waste and fill the water carrier.
Covid taken very seriously with deep cleaning and sanitisation.
Close to Harrogate, Ripley and picturesque Knaresborough.

We love this site, so clean and friendly, spacious pitches, felt perfectly safe with all covid signage and instructions, great location served by a bus service second to none!
Lovely walks either way from Ripley village, Hampsthwaite starting at the village cross is a gorgeous little village and the walk through secluded woodland and quaint country lanes is a well worth the effort with its stunning bridge over the Nidd, and gorgeous church beside the river banks sitting watching the fish jump up out of the river eating lunch, perfect.
