We visited the site just after the bank holiday week. Facilities in good order with free showers. Kids enjoyed the pool and play park.

Shop was basic but adequate. If you want more involved shopping then Harrogate and Knaresborough are nearby though we were recommended to travel the 8 miles to Ripon and the more easily found Morrisons store.

As has been mentioned on other reviews nearby there are plenty of attractions to visit and we will call back in future.

We arrived at the park around 7.00pm, we got taken to our pitch and were told what went on around the park and at what times. The pool was great got there at opening time costs 75p per person, getting changed was an effort as changing room was freezing. Games room was basic 2 pool tables tv and arcade machines, on site shop opened time 3 times a day, sold items like chicken nuggets, frozen bread very basic but got what we needed. Also on site chip van on saturdays. Playground area was great the kids made loads of friends, pond area was really nice with baby ducklings swimming around. There was also separate dog walking area the park was very clean showers spotless seperate basin area well looked after. Definately return to this park, kids didn't want to leave had a good time.

From start to finish, we enjoyed our stay at Ripley Caravan Park. The weather was great and there was a park just steps away from our caravan, so the kids were entertained and you could keep a close eye on them as well. The showers were big and clean and so were the toilets and washing up areas. There is also a fish & chip van that comes to the site on a Saturday at 5:30pm so if you dont feel like cookinfg then that got you sorted. If you feel like going out for the day there is alot of near by attractions such as Mother Shiptons Cave, and York town center with lots to do there. I would recomend this site to people with big or small familys, who want a nice break away.

Stopped here for 2 nights. Park attendants very friendly and helped out at 8:00pm after we found we'd left our regulator at home. Toilets spotless and heated, ducks and duckpond a constant source of amusement for the kids. Indoor swimming pool excellent - may feel small when busy, we had it to ourselves. One of the best sites we've stopped at and prices were reasonable too (£10.50 per unit, 2 adults & car low season) Great outdoor play area, footy pitch, dog walk. 10 mins from 24hour Asda in Harrogate. Evening chip van after end of April. Would definetly go again.

WE have stayed at this site on numerous occasions over the past 2 seasons. It is a lovely site, with well-maintained and clean facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the pitches are mostly level. The indoor pool is cleaned regularly, whether the owner is around or not!

The easiest way to get to the surrounding towns is to walk 5 minutes into the village and take a 'flight' on a bus which pass through every 10 minutes during the daytime in both directions, to harrogate or to ripon. (These are unlike your average scruffy bus; they have electronic displays, leather seats and the drivers are dressed more like pilots!)

Visit in spring-time ideally, to see the pond heaving with chicks and goslings, but don't take the pitches next to the pond; we want them!

Very nice site. Particularly liked the basins in the toilets with curtains over the cubicle for privacy, and lovely spacious showers (free). Only 1 hairdrier though and no sockets to plug your own in. Pool great for the kids. Will be returning next year, great value at £9.50 for 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog.
Stump Cross Caverns great to visit

Had a brilliant time, couldn't find any complaints about this site, very clean, staff were very polite. Only a short walk from the village. There is nowhere for kid's to spend load's of money, but they still enjoyed themselves which has to be a bonus.

This was our very first visit to a site and what a choice it was too. Right from our arrival to the time we left we just couldn't find a fault, the staff were friendly and very helpful and as for the cleanliness of the place, even though this was our first outing, I can imagine it was second to none. After we were settling in and looking forward to having our first meal in our caravan what a pleasant surprise to see the Fish And Chip van arrive, back in the fridge went our grub and straight to the mobile F&C van I went. Hats off to all that run the place.

This is a lovely site. Well run, well tended and very well maintained.

It is in a great location between Ripon and Harrogate with excellent facilities and lots to do in the surrounding area. The on-site shop is basic but sufficient and there are a couple of good supermarkets a few minutes drive away in Harrogate.

The village of Ripley is very attractive and has the best ice cream shop in Yorkshire - the site is worth visiting for this alone.

We will be going back this year.
