Really loved this site. Pitches level, well laid out. We were rather caught out when we arrived, having paid 'in full' in advance, when we asked to pay an extra £17. 40 for drainage and sewage. Couldn't understand that at all, but they had got us over a barrel! The showers and toilets were fine, however they suddenly decided to introduce a code for the door but failed to inform us. This caused quite a few embarrassing moments for several campers! To make matters worse the code didn't always work! However, overall we enjoyed our stay. The site is well located for Knaresborough, Harrogate, Ripon and York. Would visit again, but will check out any additional charges beforehand!

Just returned from this site. Found the facilities spotless staff very helpful and friendly, but like other comments THE DUCKS, my 4year old loved chasing them and feeding them but always ended up having to clean poo of her shoes. Even walking to and from the caravan got to b on the look out for duck poo and dodge it usually ended up with sum on shoes soon got sick of cleaning kids shoes. Water points through out the park the two I used I found awkward to fill the water barrels turn the taps on water spraying outwards bit of hosepipe would of come in handy and got to hold barrels on an angle to fill it, then got to lift the barrel out of the little pit thing the heavy when full up. Haven't been caravanning for long been to about six sites but on all the sites we've been to people been very friendly and pleasant saying hello and even making conversation but on this site people don't seem to bothered, not the parks fault a suppose can't blame them for that. Apart from this it is a nice site but I would not return.

This was our second visit here and we do like the location. Good bus service from the nearby village (who also have a great butchers).
The toilets were clean but only two of the ladies showers were working on one day (due to a flow problem which was not apparent in the gents at all). However this was resolved.
They now have a code on the toilet door but this means its only really accessible from the end of the block where the statics are which doe not really seem logical.
I would echo about the ducks and found their mess to be rather off putting and spoiling this otherwise clean site.
The pool is small and their is a small charge for it. On one day they seemed to be someone in there who obviously did not like 'strangers' in it and kept making rather loud comments about a young family (who were perfectly behaved).

This is a very well organised site. The toilets and showers are very clean, as well as the swimming pool changing area. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. They have a laundry room as well as dishwashing facilities, all well maintained. They have an nice large play area for the kids. I usually don't sleep well camping as I get woken up easily. On this occasion, I managed get good nights sleep ( 4 of the 5 nights)as I found that noise levels were kept to minimum between the hours of 10pm and 8am. The only negative point I would say is about the ducks. They are lovely but we found it hard to eat outside as you suddenly find yourself surrounded by 20-30 ducks trying to steal your food( we found this funny at first but its starts wearing thin after the first day or 2). If you don't zip up your tent, they enter. Once or twice we were greeted by nice slimy duck poos on the floor which our kids trampled through which was not nice! So apart from the ducks, we would definitely recommend!

Stayed here recently for two days, the site is well kept and clean, showers ok plenty hot water, main block has basics, there's a pool with sauna but we never used it, not a great deal to do, quiet overall I would say a lot of money for not a lot, you can take a caravan cheaper than a tent, we had an Oasis 8 and it only just fit into the pitch, couldn't really pitch up as all cramped in really close, so much so that we couldn't put the porch on the front of the tent, nor could we pull the g ropes out fully as one side you are imposing on the next tent, the other is a grid marked for your car.
The weekend we stayed we had heavy rain and the site stood up well, no great puddles to be seen.
One last thing was the Duck invasion, a couple of times a day you get a parade of Ducks come through your pitch, so keep your flaps shut.

This was our second trip to this great site and again we loved our week here. It's only 90 minutes from home but offers us a great week's holiday.
The site itself is quite big with lots of tents and caravans tucked in together but it never seems crowded and is never noisy. The toilets/wash facilities are entirely adequate and kept to a good standard. There is a playground for younger kids, mine are getting a bit big for that but my football mad son spent most of the week at the football field getting very sweaty and dirty.
The pool is ok but it's on site and cheap, so what do you want? There are two good local pools in nearby towns if your kids want more. The games room is fun and we enjoyed lots of time there too.
Ripley itself is really close with a fabulous butcher, ace Theakston's pub and apparently world famous ice cream. The ice cream is good though.
Love it and will return at some point.

The site is perfectly placed for touring the area and the bus service nearby is first class, running every fifteen minutes or so. There are delightful designated walks and cycle routes into Harrogate and Knaresborough and further afield.
The staff and the owners are very friendly and obliging nothing seems too much trouble they keep the park immaculate and are very professional. Excellent shop which is well stocked. Very good facilities all round. All in all an excellent well run site. As is evident by the popularity with regular users especially at bank holiday periods.
First class.
We are back again already

Had a fantastic weekend at Ripley Caravan Park over the Easter holiday. Great facilities and staff. Would highly recommend to all.
The showers / toilets and indoor pool are spotless. The shop is reasonably priced and the site is level and we'll drained. There is a kids playground that is well maintained and there is a football field.

Stayed for five nights over the Easter bank holiday. We have a large tent 8x4 so we found the pitch too small in fact despite asking for a large pitch and giving dimensions the tent filled the pitch with no where to park the car. The owners let us park on the vacant pitch next door.
This is a large very clean site that is in a lovely area. There are lots of toilets and never had to queue for a shower although the site was full.
The children loved the swimming pool and at a £1 very reasonable. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful regarding the site and are already cheerful.
I do think this site is for caravans (the clue is in the name ) the tent pitches are small and I did feel that we were put on a strip of grass that would not be suitable for caravans. It is more expensive for a tent with ehu than a caravan or motor home. On the day we left it had rained over night so we asked what time we had to leave as we needed to get the tent dry. We were told that the normal time was 12. 00 but we could pay a £5 to stay until 4. This was despite the site being over half empty, At other sites in these circumstances we have been told no rush. Although I can not fault this site as that would be looking for negatives we have been to other sites that do cater better for tents and have the little extras that make a huge difference.
We had a great time but due to the size of the pitches don't think we return.
