The site has a good atmosphere, largely due to the welcoming couple who run the place, together with their two assistants.
More hilly than I had expected, but we were pitched on one of the terraced areas on a hardstanding with water tap adjacent.
Easy access to Hadrian's Wall path, and the bus service is a plus point.
Great to be able to get a coffee and bacon butty on site too!

Hidden gem. Lovely campsite, well looked after and just had a new motorhome site extension. Generous plots.
Friendly helpful hosts, providing local knowledge and area must dos and walks and pubs. Perfect starting point for many walks.
Shop on-site for breakfast food and essentials.
Was a one stop flyby on a greater trip, but will definitely return here to explore more.

Nice site good position for walking Hadrians wall, caught the bus from the bottom of the lane to The Sill and walked back called at the Mile castle Inn for a drink then caught the bus back or you could walk back over the fields.
Shower and toilets good.
You do get a lot of tents but wardens are very good at keeping the noise down after 10. 30pm
Shame about the chicken poo(watch were you are walking)but nice to see them free range

Had an a great time here. The amenities are clean and in good condition. Ideally situated near the wall. Easy walk to Vindolanda and Haltwhistle.
We had a nice lunch at the mile castle pub. We stopped off at The Sill. Good information and shop and cafe or take a picnic.
Regular bus service that drops you off at all the tourist spots. Although they do drive fast.
Would definitely return.
The on site shop although small was well stocked and it did a small food menu, which we didn’t use but the bacon and sausage smelt lovely.

The July weather was a little damp but the atmosphere and campsite definitely wasn't, excellent booking right through arrivals and setting up camp.
The location is fantastic and having a dog to walk out from site was the best.
Staff keep the site immaculate and Covid friendly initiatives really work and help make you feel safe.
Will go back

Perfect place to explore the local area. Friendly helpful staff and warm welcome received. Perfect spot with spectacular views. Showers and toilets immaculate everything you need and more.
Bacon egg and sausage breakfast rolls available and reasonably priced with fresh barista coffee and tea.
Walking distance to Hadrian’s wall Caw Gap and nearby pub.
Would highly recommend it as a place to stay at. EHU available too.

The campsite is nestled in the hill sides near Hadrians Wall. Easy to find well sign posted.
The campsite is spread over different levels each offering hard standing with electrical hook up.
There is a lovely small cafe / shop for your essentials, the nearest supermarket is in Haltwhistle just a couple of miles down the road.
The campsite is well kept, clean and tidy, shower, toilet facilities are excellent. Maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
If you have difficulty walking we would recommend a pitch on the bottom level. This is next to the toilets and shower & you do not have to walk back up the incline to your pitch
The campsite is ideal if you are looking for a quite stay. We shall be returning when next in the area.
