Fantastic site. Excellent facilities in a beautiful location.
Pitch was a good size and nice and flat with lovely views of surrounding countryside.
Showers hot and spotlessly clean.
Great location for walking Hadrian's Wall.
Really warm welcome from owners who couldn't have been more helpful.
Overall 10 out of 10 - perfect.

A relaxed break between Christmas and new year.
A gem of a site, after a battle with traffic we arrived at the site.
A warm and friendly welcome from the owners soon made us totally relax, very helpful. Easy walk to Hadrians Wall, beautiful scenery.
This site is well worth a visit for the location, facilities and the welcoming owners

Arrived in the dark and rain with no clear sights for reception. My husband went to find someone and we were swiftly shown to our pitch which was fairly close to the facilities.
Toilets/ showers were lovely and warm on arrival but were freezing the morning after and no hot water.
We had to leave unfortunately otherwise I would have told them about the cold facilities.
May return in summer as it was very muddy due to the time of year.
Found the pricing structure strange as it was more expensive to stay out and f season.
I wouldn’t say it is worth £20 pn

Lovely, well kept, small campsite. We were given a friendly welcome and offers of assistance if we needed it.
The site was near to Hadrians Wall, the museum and the fort which is what we wanted to see.
The only let down was the weather.

Sited in a fab location. Even though it is in a deep valley and has lots of different levels, the site has made the most of the landscape around it.
The toilet and shower block are kept nice and clean but are a bit tired looking. We were lucky that everyone staying on the site kept the sinks, toilets and showers usable.
Sometimes people aren't as considerate. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you, even as far as nipping back on the quad bike and delivering four choc ices as it was scorching hot!
That's good service. Worth a visit.

Stayed at the Hadrians Wall Camping and Caravan Site for 3 nights, the good points:
1. Easy drive and stress free getting there in our motorhome, straight up the M1, A1, A69, A68 and along B6318, no narrow lane no steep hill, very easy to get to.
2. The owners Nicky and Justine were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, checking in was efficient and quick.
3. There is a motorhome service point with a well positioned grey water drain.
4. Campsite was busy but never had to queue for a shower, the shower block with toilets was clean, showers powerful and hot.
5. Half a mile walk along a quiet road from the campsite to the B6318, follow the public footpath sign across some fields for another half mile and we were at Hadrians Wall, so easy to get there, no need to catch a bus or drive for miles. We went along the wall for 2. 5 miles to Sycamore Gap where we saw the tree that was featured in the movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
6. We pitched near the duck pond and the family of crested ducks with a duckling kept us entertained as we sat outside our motorhome, nearby the resident cat (Lulu) was always around quietly watching the world and campers go by, a calm and relaxing campsite.
The bad points:
Can't think of any yet, will be going back a few more times to see if we can spot any.
This is a very good site for our requirements, thank you.

We stayed over Easter weekend at this campsite which is lovely and has great views.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and they keep the site very clean. The showers and toilets were always clean and tidy and my teenagers spent loads of time in the laundry room charging their phones!
The campsite is very close to Hadrian’s Wall and within a short car journey of lots of other places along the wall, such as Vindolanda and Housesteads.
It is quite isolated from villages and shops but again they are only a short car journey away if necessary.
We will definitely return as we were made to feel really welcome and that nothing was too much trouble.

Really enjoyed this site,
Friendly welcome,
Good facilities and ideal for walking,
Plenty of places of interest within easy travelling distance.
We were pitched right next to the duck pond which was great.
Would definitely go back

Stayed for 2 nights, ideally placed for walking and access to Hadrians Wall where we had a couple of great walks.
Bus stops 5 mins away so you can do a linear wall walk. A little out of the way, pub is a good 45 mins walk, as is Haltwhistle.
Mixture of hard standing and grass, slightly sloping but no problem with soft ground as it was quite dry, would imaging it gets a bit slippy if wet.
Great facilities, drying room included. All clean and tidy. Small shop and cafe on site. Owners really friendly and helpful.
Would definitely visit again.
