Very peaceful setting. Lovely walks around the site.
Not too far from attractions such as Sutton Hoo.
Clean toilets and showers.
Wonderful home grown / made produce available to buy.
You need to not mind chickens! - they are very free range!

We are a family of 4 with two young children both under 7. We go camping about 4/5 times a year and wanted somewhere nice for a last camping trip before school term starts again.
Shottisham campsite did not disappoint! It was our first time in camper-van and our pitch was in a great spot with an electrical hook up.
The location was great for us (about 2 hours out of London where we live). The local pub the sorrel horse was amazing with really good food and only a few mins walk from the site.
The surrounding county side was pretty and we went to a lovely beach about 30 mins drive away.
The site itself was clean and spacious with plenty for kids to do including a great play area and lots of friendly chickens!
The facilities were clean and the showers were really good.
We didn’t have a pizza this time round but will next time we go - which we hope to do next year!

Perfect for 6 year olds. They loved the chickens & played with some other children.
Immaculately clean toilet & shower blocks.
A lovely experience for my children's first camping trip.

Lovely campsite, great location for amazing walks along the river.
Had great amenities, with fridge and and games area which we would not usually expect from a camp site.
Would love to stay here again.

This is a beautiful site spread over a few meadows with plenty of space on each plot.
Lovely to be close to the smallholding with its free-ranging chickens for the children to play with, and easy access to the neighbouring woods and rights of way.
Everyone keeps their dogs on a lead so no issues there. People settle down for the night by 10pm and up by about 7am.
We loved buying fresh eggs from the owners who work really hard and give tours of the smallholding, also enjoyed the pizzas on site on a Tuesday

Lovely place, good facilities, friendly helpful owners. The kids enjoyed making friends with the wandering chickens and play park. We enjoyed the space we had to camp in.
Good facilities for washing up, showers, fresh water and toilets. Has a space for charging electricals like phones if needed.
It is close to where a family's boat is moored so ideal for trips to see them.
It is close to the River Deben for walks, crabbing, shark's tooth hunting, paddling and relaxing at the Ramsholt Inn.
We also enjoy Sutton Hoo and other places.
It is our choice to stay when we go sailing.

Lovely, peaceful site, very safe.
Lovely that the chickens roam free, but they did steal food from our children on a couple of occasions.
If we returned, we would request a pitch further away from the hen house!

Just love this special place. Wonderful walks from the site, fabulous pubs too!
Friendly helpful owner, immaculate facilities with good hot water supply.
An ‘on site’ cafe, wood fired pizzas on special evenings.
Love the fact campfires are allowed.
Just wish the ‘bin area’ wasn’t quite so unsightly.

Easy to book and pay online.
No fuss with checking in.
Quiet and nice shady spot in the raging dry heat.
Would use it again when in the area.
Close to Sutton Hoo.
