Lovely spacious pitches with chickens roaming the site freely.
Just stayed the weekend but wished we could have stayed longer, hope to be back again.

A lovely peaceful site. The facilities were excellent. We walked to the Sorrel Horse a couple of times and there’s a huge outside area. Also visited the play area with our two young grandchildren, they loved it there and it’s a lovely place to take a picnic.
We also visited the Ramsholt Arms. This is set in a beautiful location and well worth a visit. There’s parking suitable for motorhomes near by.
We hope to visit this site again soon.

Spacious pitches in a lovely setting. The children were offered the opportunity to feed a lamb and the chickens. The nearby wood provided fuel for the firepit. Sausages bought from the site owners. An interesting walk along the sandy bridle and byways.
The site uses renewable energy and grows everything organically.
Due to covid rules only the toilet was open and not the cafe so unable to rate the facilities fully. The site is well placed to visit the seaside and countryside.

This is our site of choice. Every year. We love it. James and Claire are a delight and so well organised.
The site is run on trust, goodwilll and a few sensible rules that are clear from the outset. Loads of space, plenty of light, gorgeous area, a great pub just down the road.
Onsite the shower and toilet block are the best we have experienced - underfloor heating, spotless, light. Loads of Covid-sensitive sensible advice around but you will be safe here.
Added value is the fridge and freezer for extra storage - even device battery charging stations. Plus - how could we forget - regular fresh produce and eggs, plus the Blue Rabbit cafe for breakfasts at weekends and Pete’s Pizzas available on pre-order.
What could be better than to arrive, pitch up, have a pint and then a pizza. Wonderful - hats off to you James and Claire.
This is our favourite site.

Nice site with ample space between plots, basic and clean facilities, lots of open space for kids, including a great play area.
Good base exploring the local area, footpaths and walks from the site.
Shame they couldn’t do something about the rain 🤓

Lovely site with flat, spacious pitches. Faciities always spotless, with hand sanitiser dispensers at the entrances and soap dispensers inside.
Short walk straight off site to the back garden of the Sorrel Arms.
Fantastic area for cycling - we went miles every day on quiet lanes with our electric bikes.
Great free range eggs, with some of chickens roaming freely around the site.
Liked it so much that we booked an extra night.

This campsite was just the ticket for our long-distance Suffolk walk: excellent facilities, occasional pizza evenings (cooked on site, thanks Pete!), slightly mad animals on from the small-holding wandering around, quiet, fire-pits, seating to eat from for those travelling light with a tent, with the site kept to a high standard, all at a reasonable cost.

A lovely situation with local walks and bike rides. Facilities very good and clean. Careful attention to extra precautions for Covid-19.
Owners have taken special care with farm animals to see and cafe sadly not open when we were there

One of the best sites we have stayed on. Immaculate facilities.
Walks close by. Public House 5 minutes away run by the village.
We spent hours parked down at Bawdsey and visited the Suffolk Punch Trust. We will be back.

This is a delightful camp site in the beautiful little village of Shottisham. Spacious level grass pitches. Beautiful and spotlessly clean facilities. Plenty to amuse children including very placid chickens wandering around the site.
Cafe in the mornings. Fire pits available for the evenings. A woodland path to the Sorrel Horse Pub for great beer and food. Nice cycling and rambling in the AONB.
Nearest shop a McCalls 10 minute bike ride away. Coast 15-20 minute bike ride away.
Busy with families at the weekend quieter mid week.
