We had the most wonderful break here. I cannot speak highly enough of the site.
It is laid out perfectly so you have your own space and shade available, the shower and toilet blocks were always kept clean and never ran out of loo roll. The one time I saw someone had inconsiderately left a shower muddy it was clean again very quickly!
Very considerate fellow campers, a playground off the campsite, a pub five minutes walk away. The animal feeding on Saturday night was lovely and there was even an alpaca born on the day we went!
James was very self deprecating doing the feeding without Claire but he did a brilliant job. I have set a diary reminder to book again for next summer on January 1st.

Great site in lovely quiet location. Good sized, level pitches. Very handy for the local villages and coast.
Great pub within easy walking distance and plenty of others nearby.
New facilities very clean and spacious.
Unfortunately cafe and other facilities were closed while we stayed due to staffing issues.
Room for improvement:
1. No contact with any staff member at any time during our stay. No welcome, no presence no acknowledgment that we were there. Could have been in a field anywhere
2. You get charged for every little thing with no flexibility and no chance of any refund in any circumstances (and yet we were informed of lack of site facilities by email the day before arrival).
Sadly quite different from our experiences touring the continent with the caravan.

Such a lovely relaxed campsite. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. Lovely to wake up to the sounds of nature, as well as chickens, goats, pigs and Alpacas!
You can purchase some local foodstuff on site and if you are there on a Saturday, have a tour of the animals for free.
Would highly recommend you stay here, great centre for local attractions as well such as Sutton Hoo, Suffolk Punch shire horse centre and Woodbridge.
Very clean toilet block and showers, cafe on site but not open at the moment due to illness, however there is a lovely pub, The Sorrel Horse 100 mtrs away.

Great place to stay, the facilities were very good.
Good level grassy site with a pub just down the road and fridges and freezer on site to use for your food.
Toilet and shower blocks are fully tiled and are kept very clean.
Site is very close to Sutton Hoo, Rendlesham Forest and Suffolk coastal towns.
I enjoyed my stay very much and will go back for sure.

This was a lovely clean website, met up with friends, came with my dog (who was free) the added bonus of being able to have a firepit was great.
Lovely walks and a beautiful pub nearby,
Definitely would recommend ☺️
Could do with a cold tap at the sinks,
But overall a lovely site.

A really nice vibe. Lovely spacious and spotless campsite with lovely spacious and spotless facilities.
Easy to book, easy to find and a friendly welcome.
Ideal for Sutton Hoo and the Suffolk coast. Divided into several areas with free-range chickens, lots of public footpaths and free WiFi.
Fire-pits looked lovely though we didn’t use one.
We’re not used to unisex toilets/showers but they were immaculate!

First time at this site, first time staying in Suffolk. Lovely site very quiet, even with the small holding. Which is great for the children.
Two shower blocks, one much more modern but only has four showers. So at busy times that could be difficult. Although the older block also has two showers, always clean.
Unfortunately the cafe was closed due to illness which could be long term ? So wishing them a speedy recovery !
Good dog walking on site & plenty of play areas for children. Have to watch the dog as the chickens sometimes roam about the tents & caravans !
Some areas are a little run down, but this doesn’t detract from the main site. So much bird song to wake up too, would definitely come again to this site.
Just a short walk to the village pub, who excepts dogs. No shop in the village, so a drive a few miles up the road.
The church is between the pub & site so you will hear the bells on a Sunday !
We have another 3nights left, so hope it stays sunny & dry !?

Shottisham campsite is a lovely place for camping. The toilets and showers are very clean and well maintained.
There is a playground within the grounds that is great for children.
There is usually a nice café and pizza oven but it was unfortunately shut when we visited.
The location is great and I enjoyed our visit. The only small complaint is that the firewood is expensive.
We had brought a little with us so decided just to manage with it rather than buy any but otherwise it was a lovely place to stay.

It's a lovely site, very peaceful and tranquil.
Plenty of open space, big skies and a nice pub very close by.
Some of the facilities could do with an upgrade but we were self contained so not an issue for us.
A tad pricey but worth it.

Delightfully situated site with good walks to Shingle Street, Ramsholt, Rendlesham Forest and others.
Lovely owners and super peaceful.
Good facilities and other campers very respectful.
Chickens pecking round the van in the mornings which was nice. Other animals are Alpaca’s and pigs which were cute.
