Just love this place! Don’t want to advertise it really!
Position to coast, pub with walks in abundance.
Cafe at the weekend, pizza on a Friday night and spotlessly clean.
Just perfect!

Lovely campsite on a smallholding in quiet village of Shottisham, on pretty and surprisingly remote Deben peninsula in Suffolk Coast and Heaths OANB.
Meet the alpacas, goats and chickens; wood fired pizza on Fridays; brunch at Saturday cafe serving delicious home -grown and -reared produce.
Explore secluded woods, heath, tidal estuary, farmland and beach all on local walks.
Clean facilities, helpful staff. Dog friendly, child friendly. Fire pits and picnic tables to hire, for a fee.
Excellent fish focused gastro pub on doorstep.
Great kids playground 1 min walk away in village.

Absolutely loved this site, generous large pitches, lots of trees, huge showers and perfectly hot! Cheeky chickens strutting about! Alpacas nearby.
Delicious Pete’s pizza on Friday night and bacon rolls on Saturday morning
Shame the cafe isn’t open every day
Perfect for visiting Woodbridge, Sutton hoo, Bawdsley and snape
Very relaxed, didn’t see owners for 2 days! Easy access for dog walking on nearby heath

Pros: This is a lovely well kept campsite. The countryside surrounding it and dog walks are fantastic.
The small holding is interesting with various animals and produce from this on sale at the site. The Blue Rabbit cafe is great, Clare does a brilliant job with the menu.
Cons: Pricing is quite complicated with cost for tent, then per person, then for car, then for gazebo if you have one, then other add ons, it ends up fairly expensive and maybe would be better to have a simpler pricing system that lets you know this up front. It strangely also costs more to have your car on site than the tent.
Water is quite cold for showering.
Neither pro or con, but it would be great if the Blue Rabbit cafe runs for a day in the week during school holidays, for those who are not just weekenders.

This is a very peaceful and lovely rural location. There is a pub 10 minutes walk away, open Thursday to Sunday.
The facilities were excellent, with nice hot showers.
Orford castle is nearby and well worth a visit as is Bawdsy Radar, although this was not open at the time of my visit. (opening times are very limited).
There was some low level aircraft noise at times - from high level planes, but absolutely no traffic noise at all.
4g signal was weak and WiFi is available at reception.
Food is available on site at certain times.

Excellent size pitches, and although we were subjected to 12 hours of non stop rain before we left, the ground didn't get chewed up at all.
Good well looked after facilities.
Plenty of good well maintained walks, and the roads a reasonably quite making them relatively safe to walk
Good variety pubs within walking distance.
Only one real negative point, the water temperature in the washroom as well as dish washing area could have been hotter.

Fantastic quiet campsite in the beautiful Deben valley.
Great set up with easy booking, no check in and immaculately clean toilets and showers.
Hired a fire pit for 2 nights and bought delicious free range eggs and home made jam.
So peaceful and restful and a short walk to one of the best sea food restaurants we know - The Sorrel Horse.

Lovely campsite, very relaxed.
The pitches are a good size and the showers/toilets were clean and well maintained.
We enjoyed the meet the animals which Claire does on Saturdays at 6pm.
The on-site free Wi-Fi was brilliant too.
