A very nice quiet campsite with spacious pitches.
All varieties of camping are catered for.
Toilets and showers are adequate and very clean.
An extra drinking water point wood be welcome. Very informal with regular visits from the resident chickens.
Proprietors leave you to get on with your holiday.
Great Pizzas and Cafe on site weekends.
Pub a short stroll away serves food Wed to Sun.
Most enjoyable few days will come again.

Loved the relaxed, sustainable feeling - chickens, animal feeding all just wonderful.
Cafe was superb, delicious breakfast (massive treat whilst camping!) and gorgeous salad and other healthy packed lunch take away bits for our Sutton Hoo day.
Enough space for kids to kick a ball and just play/make friends and simple yet sublime park.
Owners were really kind and helpful and lovely to our inquisitive children. Facilities clean and never too busy.
We’ve loved our first visit exploring beautiful Suffolk and couldn’t have wished for a better place to have stayed.

The most authentic campsite I have stayed at. So well run, clean and eco-friendly (Also very pretty).
Lots of Interesting footpaths surround the campsite.
Great to see a working smallholding. Lovely play area, wood fired pizza from Pete, and close to The Sorrel Horse pub.
A great base for exploring the remote coastline at Shingle St, Bawdsey and further afield Orford.

Awesome campsite, relaxed and friendly,
Great for kids with a big park, loads of space, chickens running around and animals to see,
Woodland walk right off the campsite,
Lovely showers etc.
We loved the pizzas on site too and the lovely pub down the road.

Second visit here.
The facilities are regularly maintained and spotlessly clean.
A short drive to the beach, and other local attractions.
The site is relaxed and peaceful.
We rarely go back to the same place.
Will visit again!

Amazing campsite. James and Claire couldn’t be more helpful and friendly.
The facilities are immaculate.
The children loved the animals, especially stroking and feeding them on Claire’s tour.
The Blue Rabbit Cafe is lovely. Everything homegrown and freshly picked. Big park and local pub within walking distance.
We have been before and will be coming back again.
Thank you Shottisham Campsite ⛺️

Just returned from a fabulous few days, this is a lovely site, unspoiled,
Nice clean showers and toilets with the added benefit of fridges and freezers to use.
Having the fresh pizza on Fridays and the cafe at weekends was a welcome touch.
The site is really well positioned for exploring south Suffolk.

Good size pitch, with shade & sun. Well maintained & clean toilet/shower block with plenty of hot water.
Excellent location for discovering Deben vale, Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge.
The Sorrel Horse keeps it's beer well and also does food and can be reached from the campsite without walking on the road.
The on-site cafe is open at weekends but we were staying during the week so we can't comment.
Booking was straightforward and replies were prompt.
We couldn't access campsite wifi, but others could.

Lovely campsite set in beautiful surroundings. James the owner was friendly and welcoming.
Lots of room/space on the pitches.
Showers and toilets were kept spotlessly clean. Nice hot showers.
Campfires were allowed.
Lots of public footpaths around the site- perfect for dog walking.
Owners have a small holding with llamas, goats etc which children would love. We enjoyed local walks along the Suffolk coastal path at Shingle street.
Orford was a lovely place to visit that’s nearby.
We would stay here again, good value for money.
