 Shottisham campsite is a delightful place that we come back to year after year.
James and Claire are charming hosts, friendly and helpful, and the facilities are spot on.
It is a joy to be surrounded by nature and and animals, and the on-site cafe provides excellent, real fare.
The Sorrel Horse pub is just round the corner and as walkers we particularly enjoy access to lovely countryside and bird life on the river Deben.
Shottisham remains our ‘go to’ retreat whether the sun is shining or not. We love it!

Lovely walks on site quiet and friendly. Fresh eggs bacon and sausages sold from owner. Oven pizzas made to order on certain days.
Ideal for families with small children.
Fire pits available.
Ideally situated for touring Suffolk.
Love watching the farm animals.
Excellent site for old and young

Wonderful site - very peaceful and good facilities.
Dog walks from the site are excellent. Pitches are a very generous size.
Owners very helpful and available to sort out problems (kindly lent me a spanner to change gas over) but not at all intrusive.
Will definitely return.

The facilities were spotlessly clean & seemed brand new, couldn’t fault them.
The owners seem to prefer a “ hands off “ approach, which I had no problem with as the email explains perfectly what is required upon arrival & the one query I had was answered swiftly & clearly by text from the owners.

We booked our spot at Shottisham campsite when we were visiting family
Its an awesome site with the best hot showers.
We even had one of the chickens visit us in the morning.
We will definitely be staying there again.
Its also an amazing place to see a sky full of stars.

We love this site as it is quiet but friendly.
There are lots of walks around the area, as well lots of tourist attractions a short drive away.
It is always a highlight to watch the chickens as they can be quite mischievous!
We will visit again for sure.

What a find! Beautiful location, lovely people, superb facilities. The best I’ve ever come across in fact!
The toilet/showers were so-so clean with piping hot water, and heated floors no less!
Everything you should want so the value for money (I went pitch only) was excellent, James available at set times if needed.
Next time I’ll try the eggs & bacon too. Thanks for everything.

Lovely peaceful and sheltered site, excellent showers and toilet facilities.
Very relaxed atmosphere and we really enjoyed the visit by the chickens.
A 5 minute walk to the excellent Sorrel Horse pub.
Highly recommend this site.

What a lovely peaceful site. Natural and unspoilt. Fabulous walks straight from the site. Beautiful, unspoilt village with a pub owned by the community.
Not sure on the mixed toilets and showers, but they were clean and tidy, nowhere to dry hands though.
Chemical toilet emptying not accessible, not sure why and couldn't find anywhere for motorhome grey waste drop, but not the end of the world.
Will definitely visit again out of season, as this visit.

Quiet roads so easy to cycle and plenty to do and see in the area.
New facilities on the campsite were first class
