Lovely site, well organised and well set up to deal with current difficulties.
All easy and hassle free. Loved the chickens and eggs.
Quiet and simple just right for visiting nearby Sutton Hoo.

Nice spacious pitch. Clean and hot shower block/toilets. Great breakfast at blue rabbits cafe. Lovely pizzas at Pete's pizzas.
Great local walks starting and ending up at local Sorrel Inn Pub.

Free ranging chickens to add to the country feel.
Would stay again!

Shottisham never fails! It has been over 3 years since I last visited, after harping on at my partner about how great it is we managed to book a plot for a weekend away.
Thankfully not much has changed, it is still as wonderful as I remembered. What has changed is the addition of the cafe. Unfortunately it was not open for the weekend we were there but this was not a problem. We had some of Pete's Pizzas on Friday night and we are so glad we did. We pre booked with Pete via email and he even offered to stay cooking a bit later if we arrived later than we intended which was very lovely of him. The pizzas were absolutely delicious and Pete and his partner were so very welcoming.
James and Claire are so on top of the covid situation; we used the newer toilet/shower block as these were the nearest and I have never seen such clean facilities on a campsite!
We also hired a fire pit and wood for the night for a small fee which was a lovely addition to sit out with the stars.
It's lovely having the chickens roaming about and to see all the animals thriving, although I did miss not having any piggies to look at- I do hope there will be some new additions in the future :)
This campsite gets it just right- it has everything you need without being overbearing. Kids clearly love it too and we hope to bring our nieces on our next visit.

We stayed here during covid. It is a lovely site. The ground is nice and flat and plenty of tree cover for wind.
There was a new unisex toilet and shower facility near the entrance and older one further back on the site. Both were clean and fresh.
There are some nice walks from the campsite, the Church is nearby and worth a walk. We had the local Pizza made on site and it was great.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating. When we next go to this part of the world we would most definitely stay here again!

We’ve stayed here many times and absolutely love it. The site is beautiful, we love being surrounded by the animals and the countryside comes up to your door.
The toilet blocks are fab with fab clean showers and heated floor in the newest block. James and Claire are always friendly too.
It’s a great base to explore the local area, with the river Deben walking distance away.
Can’t recommend it highly enough.

We returned to this site after last visiting over 10 years ago!
Toilet blocks are spotless, and unisex, which takes a bit of getting used to, would prefer it to be separate- there is another older block which is ladies / men’s, but was in another field.
Showers are lovely and hot, and there’s underfloor heating. Only issue was lots of flies in there.
Free roaming chickens, which was lovely, just wish the parents of the kids staying on site, would stop their little darlings from chasing the chickens.
It was nice to sit round the fire pit in the evening.
This site is good value for money, and was very busy for the start of September.
There is a pub in the village, but it wasn’t serving food on the Tuesday & Wednesday that we were there.
Woodbridge is approx 5 miles away, and Aldeburgh and Southwold are within easy travelling distance.
Unfortunately, we won’t be returning as we prefer adults only sites, but if this is what you like, then 100% go for it.
