Our 2nd visit to this small, friendly campsite. Very relaxed feel.
Great to arrive at midday and leave at midday, rather than feeling like we’ve been “shortchanged” by late arrival and an early leave.
Toilet & shower blocks immaculate.
Will definitely return.

Very quiet site. Beautiful. Lovely walks near site.
Very pleasant people we met.
Lovely animals. Shame we missed the feeding. 5 mins late. Shame we couldn't see goats
Would certainly visit again.

Such a gem for a stay in the beautiful Suffolk countryside.
I took my children & grandchildren and we all loved the easy access to a lovely playground, walks & a nearby pub for a lunch when camp cooking got too much.
The toilets & showers are kept clean & the water is hot.
The pitches are generous so you don't feel too near other people. My youngest grand daughter adored the animals on Claire's guided tour.
The only downside (for those who might care about such things), is the mobile phone signal being a bit unreliable.
Lots of lovely places to visit nearby too.
Arrangements / customer service excellent with an update sent just before we arrived about unscheduled changes which was very useful.

Super site.
Quiet and friendly, with a nice Pub a short walk away.
Good showers and facilities.
Fire pits possible and wood sold too.
James who runs it is friendly and it’s great for Suffolk sights and beaches.

Having the animals around is lovely.
Owner friendly and helpful.
Toilet & shower facilities were very clean and modern.
Pub nearby which does food.

Amazing couple of nights. Very clean and tidy.
The kids loved the animals especially chocolate and marshmallow the chickens.
It was our first camping adventure with young children and we will definitely be returning here again.

We went to Shottisham for 2 nights travelling with family (kids age 8 and 12) and friends. Sadly the cafe and pizza delivery were shut but will review the rest of the facilities.
The site is large and clean- fantastic toilet and showers with plenty of space to get changed. Perfect for families.
The space was quiet set off the road so no noise from traffic. In the evening we got to go animal petting which was brilliant.
There is a park which is lovely. Only thing for us was being slightly further away so was hard to keep a close eye. Bit they loved the freedom of heading off, and climbing trees.
Fires are allowed. Sadly no music so it was quiet from 9pm sat around the fire.
Would most definitely stay again but request the site closer to the park.
Not much in Shottisham. The pub was lovely. But Felixstowe is a short drive away.

Excellent relaxed, well kept site.
Very peaceful, as its a long way from a main road.
The main reason I chose the site was its location in the village, of a lovely pub, 5 minutes walk away, providing good food and drink with a smile.

St Margaret's at Shottisham is located a short distance from the village centre and the excellent pub "The Sorrel Horse".
The site is divided into 3 fields, mostly flat with varying degrees of shelter. All the pitches are grass, some with electric and the cater for tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. I did not see any children during my stay.
Every individual item has a charge, which made turning up in a car twice as expensive as on a bike.
The toilets and showers are very nice but the pot wash was exposed to the driving wind and rain we experienced for the first part of the week. The ground drains well but was overcome by the torrential downpour and I had to move my tent, or sleep in a puddle.
Shottisham village is situated berween Sutton Hoo and Bawdsey, each a half hour gentle cycle ride away. The scenic spots of Ramsholt and Waldringfield make good days out.
I had to cut short my stay due to a fall I suffered on the site caused by stumbling in a small hole that was covered by horizontal grass.

This is a lovely, laid-back campsite on the edge of the village of Shottisham in South East Suffolk.
It’s basically a couple of fields in the middle of the owners’ small holding, so you can expect to see chickens wandering around the tents from time to time!
The facilities are a couple of shower/toilet/washing up blocks, one new one older, but both spotlessly clean and well-maintained.
There was a mix of families with children and couples there when we visited at the start of the school summer holidays, but all was quiet after 10pm.
The owner, James, maintains a lowkey presence, but he’s there if you need him and the house is just next door.
The site is surrounded by the small holding & countryside. It’s level, well kept and peaceful.
The pub - community owned - is 5 minutes’ walk.
We will definitely be going back.
