Stayed at this cracking little site over the Easter weekend and had a lovely stay. Being Easter the site was very busy but the showers and toilets were kept spotless the entire time with plenty of free hot water. The site wardens were very friendly and hard working nothing was too much trouble. There is a good children's play area which my boy's gave a big thumbs up. For the parents there's a nice pub selling nice food within walking distance but if the small site shop doesn't have what you need you will need the car unless your up to a 30 minute walk (OK going not so good on way back carrying your shopping). A 20 minute drive will take you to the attractions at Sherwood Forest (well worth a visit). Not a site for those looking for club houses and amusements but a site for those looking for piece and quiet with all basic camping requirements fulfilled to a high standard.

Just back in work after another fabulous long Easter weekend here. Great combination of the orchard and playground for the kids and the peace and tranquillity of the main park for us oldies. Everything is really well run here; staff always around if you need them (though we rarely do) and the site is always kept clean and tidy, mowed and so on. Such hard work being back in the office today!

From the warm, friendly welcome to the final good wishes for a safe journey home we enjoyed every moment of our stay at Orchard Park this weekend. The pitches are well maintained and hard standing, toilet blocks and facilities all very clean. A very peaceful family site that makes you feel in the middle of the countryside when in reality you are close to Tuxford, Lincoln and Newark. Very reasonable rates even over a peak bank holiday and we were allowed to arrive early as well as stay until 6pm on the day of departure. Well worth a visit, we will definitely be back.

Moved our caravan to this site and used there storage facilities which are great, secure and a very good price. We have spent many weekends here, the kids love the woodland park, very clean and family oriented, enjoyed it that much we are now seasonal members and looking forward to spend more great times and making memories. Definitely would recommend,

We have had a seasonal pitch for just over a year and we find the site very clean and well maintained, the shower block is very cleaned and always tidy with plenty of hot water. There is also secure storage facility available at a very reasonable price if required which is covered by CCTV. The owners Joe & Mary are very accommodating which are very nice people and the wardens Tracy & Richard are very welcoming.
We would recommend this site to come and visit there is a big park for the children to play and explore also a big camping site with plenty of room.

We have just spent a couple of nights on this site. It's a lovely site with a great play area for the kids and a small wooded area.
My 3 children 7, 4 and 2 loved it as well as the goal posts to play football.
The showers and toilets were clean and tidy and staff as well as others on the campsite were very friendly.
The only downside for me was that there was no where for my Labrador to run about but
The site is a great location to visit Sherwood, Clumber and Rufford so she had plenty of long walks!
Would definitely visit again but maybe without the dog!

Another great year at Orchard Park as a seasonal pitch. Thank you to Mary and all her team for making it a memorable year! The kids have had so much fun with you all. So glad my seasonal pitch is booked for next year!
Highly recommend a visit. Perfect location, perfect family site.

This site is one of the best sites we have been to over the summer of 2016. Its well looked after and great detail and effort paid by the wardens to keep it safe and at a high standard. The facilities are first class, clean fresh and even a great touch is the radio in the toilets. Shown to your pitch and all the other items on the site. We stayed here 2 nights on a road trip up and down from Hastings. Great site.

As a first time camper with kids I chose this site for its proximity to my home address (in case of inclement weather), size of the camp, facilities and attractions nearby.
This is a cracking little site with everything you could possibly need: clean showers and toilet block, wash up areas, laundry facilities, EHU, free freezer block freezer, and plenty for the kids to do. There's also handy picnic benches near by every pitch for dining, playing games or relaxing on.
We were shown to our pitch which was in it's very own 'woodland' glade, away from almost everyone, close to the orchard and children's play area, and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
I was a little apprehensive that the kids would miss their home comforts, but they were soon making friends, building dens, climbing trees, collecting 'interesting' sticks, hunting for bugs and generally occupying themselves from dawn until dusk. The beauty of this campsite is that it is big enough for them not to get bored, but small enough to either hear where they are, or see where they are.
The wardens were quite helpful, apart from the gent cutting wood near my tent with a chainsaw covering my picnic blanket and tent with sawdust, but I shall overlook this.
Access to the site is via a key fob (£10 refundable deposit) which raises the barrier to the entrance which gave me peace of mind.
Everyone on the site was friendly, keeping themselves to themselves or socialising as they pleased.
The main east coast rail line is nearby, but we soon got used to the frequent trains.
There's a little 'information hut' opposite the main office which I believe contained a few books to borrow during your stay, along with local information.
Attractions nearby include Clumber Park (£7 per vehicle), Sherwood Pines (£4 parking all day. Go Ape is also sited here at extra cost), Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre including the World of Robin Hood (£3 per car, free entrance), Rufford Park (£3 or £5 to park depending on day), Sundown Adventure Land, theme park for under 10's which my kids love (£14 per person at peak dates, under 2's free), Wheelgate (another theme park for kids) and White Post Farm (again my kids love it there too - book online to receive a discount)
In the village of Tuxford is a costcutter (turn left out of the site, then left at the end of the road, shop is on your right hand side), chippy, Chinese, pub, deli and further afield in Ollerton which is about a 10 minute drive away is a chemist, mini Asda and a larger Tesco including fuel amongst other takeaways and shops.
In all, we shall definitely be returning to this lovely little site, thank you Orchard Park.
