We have just spent an amazing 4 days at Orchard park.
Carole made the 4 of us in our 2 motor-homes so welcome, the campsite in general was spotless and the washrooms are the best we have encountered on our travels. Sounds a bit sad but when traveling you do realize just how important this is !
The campsite has been having technical problems with their phone lines but luckily our friends son lives locally so he called in and booked for us all.
The Fountain Inn, a 15 min walk away gave us a wonderful meal on New Years day.
We wanted complete relaxation, peace and quiet and to be away from it all and that is exactly what we got. Perfect.
We will definitely be returning to this site

WOW!
We arrived at this site at approximately 6:30pm after a long drive from the North and were greeted by a lovely host who checked us in and showed us around the site. Being late in the year (and the only ones stupid enough to be in a tent in October) we had a whole area of the site to ourselves which was bliss.
The site was lovely, set in an orchard where you can pick as much fruit as you wish, what a lovely touch. Also, bricks are provided for your BBQ and although this isn't a huge thing, it really makes a difference to having to go and find or collect your own.
The showers and toilets are kept in an immaculate condition, the water is warm and the showers are free too! Being a female camper, its nice to have some home comforts and the hairdryer in the bathroom catered for that nicely.
The surrounding town has a few shops, pubs and places to eat which are in handy walking or driving distance from the site.
During our stay, we tried looking for faults but there are none! What a lovely place to be and the people running the site are fantastic.
We can't speak highly enough of this campsite, its great value for money and we will certainly be back.

Excellent site. The toilet block was excellent and the background music made me want to sing along when showering. There is a playground for the kids plus an orchard with apples, pears and plum trees. The cove(tent field with hook ups)was great with picnic tables all around. The whole site is where you can chile out, relax, watch the sun setting keep up the good work you two

Planned to spend a few weeks here after reading reviews. The toilets and shower numbers for peak times are inadequate to cope with the number of pitches. No privacy between pitches. Some are cramped. The owners live on site in a caravan. We actually left a week early. My wife was uncomfortable when the lady owner continually was back and forth into the bathroom. The male owner was having a conversation with me while I was on the toilet! Very uncomfortable. We usually like to have one tourist day and one sit around day, but we felt we had to be out everyday. We visited Sherwood Forest, Lincoln, Newark and further afield; Louth and Skegness.

Just returned from a weekend at this site. The site was clean and very well kept. The bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean and warm. I commented to my husband that a woman must have had something to do with the lay out in the bathrooms as there were shelves in the showers to put your toiletries on etc, very handy! There were laundry facilities but we didn't use them so cannot comment but they looked very clean. We don't have children but there was a lovely play area on the site. There were lots of children on the site they were very well behaved and the site was fairly quiet.
The whole site was very relaxed and the owners very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again. Excellent value for money.

Stayed at this site for a week, it is a family run park, and you can tell, they are so friendly, and helpful, they clearly care about the park, and their guests. Very tidy picturesque site, good clean facilities, great site for both families, and couples, would highly recommend it to anybody. Will definitely return.

Recently returned. A lovely location within easy reach of Newark, Lincoln, Sherwood Forest and many more surrounding attractions. Shop on site sells some essentials & ice creams for the children to spend their pennies on.
Nice flat pitchers. Great children's play area, small football pitch & a lovely orchard with paths criss crossing. The children loved it for playing hide n seek etc.
The site was by no means full, the campers that were there were very friendly.
Showers & dressing cubicles of good size (2 female showers seemed too few for size of site however, I always walked straight in). Laundry room, indoor pot wash, freezer & out door covered drying area available. All of which were always beatifully clean. Also a nice bonus to have considerate fellow campers, who mopped after their shower.
Ann & Paul ('site helpers') both helpful & friendly also giving me a choice of pitches. Unfortunately, I can't say I found the owners approachable or friendly.
On the website pictures show (how I expect to find a caravan and camping site) some hard standing & large open grassland esp. Around & close to the children's play area. However rather disappointingly, the reality is actually something that resembles a hardstone car park. Which isn't what you want to be pitching your awning or tent on.
There is a 'rally field', which is a beautiful grassed area however, it's at the opposite end of the park. For those who have children, which naturally gravitate to the play area, it means the rally field really is not an ideal place to pitch, as most people like to have their children in viewing distance. And equally those who don't have children, don't usually want to be pitched next to a play area.
Overall a lovely site for children to play, with good facilities that are very clean. If aesthetically the site was true to the website images and the owners were more welcoming and friendly, I would give this site 10 out of 10.

Very good site. Excellent toilet and shower block! Always clean and tidy and the piped radio is an added bonus! We always seem to rate a place on its shower block!
Owner is very welcoming and always checked in with us to see if everything was ok.
We got a great position among the caravans - mainly because we had a huge tent plus awning. There was plenty of room for the children to play, who made plenty of new friends!
Shall be returning here at some point and would highly recommend to all.

First time visit first impressions very good the site was quite while we where there but it suited us. The owners very friendly and helpful even the people on site very friendly. Seems like a site regulars return. The facilities very clean and tidy. The elec hookup for tents was in nice location on site. Its about 10-15 min walk to local shops got good range of shops and takeaways if you prefer the larger shops asda/ tesco, about 10 mins away in car. Good base site to visit surrounding areas with not to much driving. Wiill definitely be returning to this site again if not this year will go next year
