Tidy little site. Nice location. Well maintained with excellent shower block. Amazingly good value at £9 a night for a large tent in peak season.
Its on the site of an old orchard and there are many original trees left. Pitched next to a Victoria Plum tree and enjoyed some delicious fruit.
Certainly recommend this one.

Just visited orchard park for 10 days with my wife and 3 children. We found there was quite a lot of space to pitch inbetween the apple pear and plum trees as we have a fairly large dome tent.
This is a lovely clean site, the new owners (1 month) have been tidying the place and making small improvements.
They did not now about any discount sceme, however there are some lovely pubs fish and chip shops and a chinese take away in and near tuxford.
There are plans to improve the play area as it was wrecked by travellers but there are paths cut inbetween the trees at the bottom of the site which the kids found great to run in and out of with torches.
My wife was a bit disapounted with the loundry facilities as they were only ordinary household machines.
There is loads to look like sherewood forest, Ruford abbey, Nottingham Castle and to keep the kids happy wonderland adventure park.
Will visit again in the future.

I have visited Orchard Park at Tuxford on several occasions with my sister and mother.
Orchard Park is well kept and has excellent facilities, with a new purpose built Shower/Toilet block with FREE showers.
If staying more than a few days and need to wash any clothes then washers and dryers are available for use at minimal cost (£1).
Orchard Park is within 15 minutes drive from Sherwood Forrest and only 20 Minutes drive from Clumber Park. Rufford Park is also close by and only about 15 Minutes Drive also.
The site also has tourist information available with details of local attractions and the owners have also negotiated with local pubs/restaurants and local attractions a discount scheme. Upon arrival you are issued with a discount card and a brochure with all the places where this can be used.
The site is also very secure, when you arrive a £5 deposit is requested and a barrier Key is issued, so nobody can enter the site or leave without passing through the barrier, which gives peace of mind, (you won't come back from a bike ride or walk and find the car missing). When your stay has ended just hand the key back in and your £5 deposit will be retuned.
A small site shop is available for everyday items such as milk, soft drinks etc.
This is a very friendly site; within a few hours we had met and chatted with several people who had come across saying hello and introducing themselves.
This is one site I will be returning to again.
