What a gem of a site. Have been staying here over the last 3 years and never tire of going back. Owners are very friendly, Toilet blocks spotless. Site is excellent for kids with a play area and orchard for exploring. Hence the site filling up most weekends. Highly recommended which is not the best thing to say as I'm selfish and want my own pitch.

Had a long weekend here in June. The site is lovely, although on the busy weekend that we were there, several large multi tent camping groups made their presence felt - thankfully not late into the night! You can hear the nearby railway line- although it ceases to be obtrusive after a couple of hours. It is busy though!
We were given a friendly welcome and shown to our pitch, not too far from the facility block. Pitches are well spaced and the hard stands are easy to get into and out of. Many are taken up with seasonal unit, though.
The facilities block, is quite small - and probably adequate at most times, but the showers were over-worked in the mornings. There is dish-washing at once end of the block in a large alcove. The reception shop sells a small array of groceries and ice cream - welcome on a hot weekend. For the kids there is a great mini assault course at the bottom of the site.
Tuxford town has a Co-op and a Costcutter, as well as take-away food outlets, although there is no decent pub there now, and nowhere that you can get a decent meal at a reasonable price. Try either Ollerton or Newark.
There is nothing to do there except chill out, but a trip down the A1 to Newark is worth the time. We found a lovely olde-worlde teashop, as well as a good selection of shops.
Nothing wrong with the site at all, but the area has little going for it. Would we go back? Yes - but it would have to be for a specific purpose in the area.

We stayed at Orchard Park for two nights in the camping field. This was for myself a return to camping after 18 years and my husband and three years olds first time. The site was just as described. The owner showed us to our spacious pitch and a picnic table too.
It was quiet apart from a little traffic noise which did not bother us too much. The facilities were very clean and the family / disabled bathroom a useful addition with a small child with warmth and music being played. Lovely walk around the Orchard and the play park was very popular although perhaps better for older children.
It was a cold two nights and heavy rain when we left with a very wet tent, however we did enjoy our weekend. We are planning to return for another weekend later this summer. I would not hesitate to recommend.

We stayed on this site for 4 nights and loved it. The site has a very nice feel about it and is nicely laid out.
The play area is great (our 5 year old spent a lot of time there) and so is the meadow area. The facilities are well maintained and cleaned thoroughly every day. As well as male and female facilities there is a disabled / family wash / shower room as well. We were surprised that are only two showers in each of the male and female blocks but I only waited for a shower once (and not for long) and the site was busy. There was always plenty of hot water.
The laundry facilities are well laid out with washing machines, a spin dryer and a covered drying area as well. The dishwashing area has two sinks but one is a bit tricky to use due to the lay out of the draining areas.
The shop stocks a few essentials and there is a tourist information point with a lot of useful local information on things to do and see.
We found a nice pub - The Fox at Kirton (only a few miles away). There is a co-op in Tuxford and a chippy and take away but we didn't try these.
The site is reasonably priced and we would definitely stay here again. A very nice site.

We had 5 days on this site and loved every minute of it.It cost us £64 for 2 adults and EHU. We were met by John who showed us our pitch which was opposite the toilet block, the pitch was hard standing and nice and level.
After setting up we had a look round the facilities and were very surprised at how clean and tidy they were, piped music, nice and warm and plenty of Hot water. Free hair driers, washing machine cost £1 for economy prog, 50p tumble drier, free iron and board, free spin drier what more could you ask for.
It was a bit damp to go exploring the orchard but loads of places near by and plenty of shops for essentials. We'll be going back again.

After some recent rain the grass was drying out so taking my motorhome onto the grass was a big no. We were able to use a hard standing pitch vacated by a season holder who had gone away for the weekend.
The site seems to be mostly populated by seasonal touring caravans with patios made and flower pots etc. There were some tents in the middle grass section.
Water points were easy to find and we could reach electric without a problem.
The shower block/facilities were very nice with heating and music. There was indoor pot washing and also washer / drier available.
We spent some time in the tourist info hut picking up lots of leaflets of places to visit, there really is a lot to do in the area.
The site was quiet and the people were all friendly.
There is a security barrier with a £5 deposit for safety.
We had all our food etc with us so didn't need to venture out again after we got to the site. The site was well signposted from the A1 exit and we had no problems finding it.
We paid £19 for a motorhome with electric, 2 adults and 1 3 y/o. I felt this a little overpriced tbh in the low season before Easter but I guess the heating bill for the facilities block needs paying.
There was an adventure playground but it was a bit boggy so we didn't bother.
I think we will return here again, I think the price is fixed all year so in the height of summer it will look better value.

We stayed for a week during the October half term hoildays.
We picked the site going by the reviews of fellow UKCSers and we were not disappointed.
The site was easy to find and we had a very warm welcome form the owners.
Our pitch was at the far end of the site by the Orchard.
The pitches were spacious and very well maintained.
The Orchard was a lovely wander, even in October, and we manged to pick enough fruit for two fruit crumbles. The children (11 and 12) really enjoyed the fruit picking - you borrow the picker from reception. Apples, pears, damsons, plums, raspberries.
The children's play area is a wooden assault course type thing and my children enjoyed playing on it as did the other children on site.
Plenty of wildlife around - birds etc and you could sit in the Orchard in Spring and Summer just watching them all afternoon or relax readin a book etc.
There is also a large tent field (with ehu) and a dog walk.
We did hear some noise from the railway but not enough to keep me awake at night
Facilities :
The toilet block is central heated and was lovely and warm.
There were 4 toilets and a hand basin, 4 wash basins & mirrors and a hairdryer with mirror (20p for the hairdryer).
The two showers are fully tiled and have plenty of hooks to hang your clothes as well as a shelf and a seat. The shower is separated by a shower curtain and it also has shelving for your soap/shampoo etc.
There were only 2 showers and it was October but we never had to wait for one - there were plenty of people staying on the site in seasonal vans). Mop and bucket provided also.
A good supply of hot water.
Didn't go in the gents but OH assures me they were pretty much the same.
There was a separate diaabled toilet and shower room which was large and spacious.
The Laundry room had 2 washing machines, a tumble dryer, a spin dryer and a deep sink for clothes washing. 50p's needed for both washer and dryer - think it was £1.50 to wash and £1.00 to dry (memory could be wrong)
There were big deep pot wash sinks as well and a mop and bucket to clean up after yourself with. Plenty of room in there.
Again - plenty of hot water.
Every thing was clean and tidy and cleaned every day - by a really lovely friendly lady.
There were numerous water points throughout the camp site.
Rubbish bins and recycling bins were around the site with the main area being next to the toilet block.
The elsan point was around the side of the gents side of the toilet block.
At reception there is a tourist information area where all sorts of information on things to see and do is kept.
There is a shop in the reception that stocks the essentials.
We went on visits to Tuxford (not an awful lot there but shops and the Windmill), Lincoln (Ghost Walk is a must) and Sherwood Forest. Newark is a good place to visit and when we managed to find the swimming pool we had a good afternoon there (very reasonable prices as it's council run).
The site is ideally situated for so many places.
Tuxford has supermarket and newsagents amongst other shops, takeaways, pubs and in just about walking distance was a Costcutter (I think - or similar).
Major Supermarkets - Morrisons and Asda and Aldi are a bit further afield in Retford. We found a really nice Chinese here next to Morrisons petrol station (which is not next to the main supermarket!)
At the time of staying we paid £18 per night for 2 adults, 2 children, tent with ehu.
In April, May, June and October you get one night free if you book 5 nights.
There is a £5 deposit required for the barrier but it's refundable when you leave.
We would happily return to this site at any time of year.

Lovely site. We only stayed one night (which cost £16.00) but would have loved to stay longer. We went towards the end of October and the weather was lovely and warm. There are some seasonal caravans on the site, some EHU and a decent sized tent field. Also a dog walk. Decent space between units. Small children's play area by the orchard.
You have have to pay £5.00 refundable deposit for a key to get through the barrier.
The toilets are lovely and clean (with a hook in each cubicle). Very warm room with lots of hot water. Only 2 shower cubicles but there wasn't a queue.
There are sinks for dishwashing and a sink for washing clothes which I think all campsites should have as you don't always have enough dirty clothes to do a machine wash and who wants to wash their dirty clothes in the same sink as you use to wash dishes! There is also a spindryer which is free to use. The washing machine and tumble dryer cost 50P for 30 minutes.
As we were only there for 1 night we didn't really get chance to explore the area. Would definitely go back.

This was our first visit to this site, having read previews reviews we were not disappointed.
The owners are very friendly, on hand to answer any questions and provide a well kept and well run site.
The showers and toilet blocks are beyond compare, continuous music, lovely spacious showers with hot running water always at hand and central heating that seemed to be permanently on.
Our boys loved the wooden play area and loved scrumping for apples and pears even more.
Tuxford itself didn't seem to have a lot to offer, but your not too far away from Newark or Lincoln.

Spent 4 nights at this park, the owner Dorothy was really helpful and nothing seemed to be to much trouble. We pitched just outside the orchard, the pitch was large and we had more than enough room for our large tent and 2 dogs! There was a children's play area however as it was a quiet time of the year there were no children there. Showers and toilets were immaculate, the best we have come across yet. Dishwashing facilities covered and once again immaculate. You can walk into the village which has a few shops and takeaways, however we did not use these as we found a 24hr tesco 5 miles away. If you are looking for a peaceful quiet location this is the one.
We will definitely be returning next year.
