What a lovely site. The owners are very friendly, and helpful. On arrival we where guided into our spot which was on flat ground and plenty big enough for caravan, full awning and space for sitting out in the sun with table and chairs.
The site was nice and quiet, no yapping dogs, which made a change from some sites we have been to.
Plenty of bins for rubbish, and a container for cans.
The showers and toilets where really clean and well cared for. And the music was good too.
We will definitely be going back sometime in the future, Tuxford is a lovely village, with a really nice sandwich shop called Snax. Do go there is well worth a visit.

Just returned from orchard park after staying 3 nights and felt I must post a review. What can I say, what a fantastic well maintained park, a credit to the owners.
Toilet block was spotless and the free showers were fantastic.
All pitches are large & flat which makes a change from most other sites we have stayed at.
Our 8 & 5 yr old girls thought the park and orchard were great fun and did not want to come home.
There is a little shop in reception which sells ice creams which was a god send as it was hot!
The site was quite busy but never felt crowded and was still very quite in the late evenings. (although the park was supposed to be closed after 9 a few parents did not seem to bother with this! but that is my only slight negative as we were pitched next to it.)
We will definitely be returning what a fantastic find.
P.S. The fish & chips from tuxford chippy were great!

Went to Orchard Park for our first ever camping trip. Turned up and went to reception, said we were first timers and the owner moved us to a pitch at the edge of the field where there was stacks of room for us to practice pitching without worrying about intruding on anyone elses space.
£5 deposit for the key for the security barrier and there is also a car park just outside the barrier for visitors. The reception sells a few items, ice cream, milk, chocolate etc and will order you a newspaper if you want one.
They also have menus for a local takeaway that delivers right to your pitch. It does burgers, pizza, sandwiches, salads and even lamb shanks!
Next to the reception is a wooden hut that has lots of tourist information for the local area and a fair few books for if you run out or its raining.
The site itself was great. We were on the tent field and the toilet block was straight across from the entrance. Two showers, four wash basins and two toilets. Might get busy in high season but the site was pretty full when we went and I never had to wait. There is also a vegatable preperation area, two sinks for washing pots, a sink for laundry, Washing machine and tumble dryer on a pay meter, iron and a freezer and chemical toilet disposal.
PLay area for the kids and a small woodland walk at the end of the site provides a bit of a distraction and there was plenty of room on the tent field for our little girl to run around.
Downsides - Just two. There is some road noise at night and there is a train track nearby that sounds a lot closer than it is. However, after the first couple of times we really didn't notice it.
First day there we went to Wonderland near Ollerton and on the Sunday went to Rufford Park. Tuxford is well placed for visits around Sherwood forest and Clumber park is in easy driving distance.
All in all this was a great site that we will definatly visit again.

A really nice site.
Very helpful owners, with well laid out and maintained pitches.
Toilets & showers were good (free & hot), although the music/radio in them could be a little disconcerting at times. It was a bank holiday when we went and with only two showers there was often a queue.
Decent pub down the road by the disused power station.

Lovely family friendly site. Even when full it didn't feel busy, plenty of space for everyone. Facilities clean but busy when the site was full. Loved the children's play equipment. Owners really friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended.

A really lovely site - very quiet and with lovely views over surrounding fields.
The kids loved the play trail and the 'maze' cut through the old orchard. They are already asking when we can go back. Would love to return when the apples are ripe!

A truly lovely site, vey friendly and helpful staff, who were able to make for room for us at very very short notice ( ringing from a service station) as our original site booked was a very big let down. The site as described is set in an orchard, it`s clean & peaceful. We were directed into our pitch which was a great help. We shared our spacious pitch with a baby Bluetit who was nesting in the apple tree, great to see the local wildlife. The toliet/shower block with music was clean & tidy as was the whole site. Will be visting again a true gem of a site.

Upon arrival at this site the welcome was very informative about the amenities and local places to spend our money in the surrounding area.
The site was clean and the grass was certainly well looked after.
We were guided into our plot and then left our own devices which is pretty much how we like it.
The site was occupied by a lot of families who were campers, tourers, motorhomers, in other words a full myriad of people. All the families seemed to adhere to the rules of the site well, not making noise at inappropriate times.
Toilet facilities were clean and accompanied by the music being played in them. The toilet facilities however I felt for the number of units on site were too few (2 mens lavatories, 4 womens I think, 2 showers for each).
The play area was small and minimalistic but yet again well looked after.
Pitches were extremely flat and free from holes.
Ornithologists would love it here as the site had an influx of many native birds often nesting in the trees right next to the pitches.
The surrounding areas - Lincoln was very nice and lovely to stroll around however BEWARE if you are having to push weheelchairs or prams the hill from the cathedral down to the city centre is steep.
Tuxford church was lovely especially at night when lit up as are many churches in the area.
At this I can say that although the visit was enjoyable and the site was nice I would probably look at other sites in the area before committing to this one especially.

Just spent the weekend at this site, gorgeous weather just capped a wonderful time at this little gem of a site. We stayed in the rally field and loved the generous size of the pitches. The facillities are the best we have experienced and the site is a credit to the owners John and Dorothy. One of the local take aways delivers to the site which is a bonus. Local shops and pubs are within 5 mins drive for provisions with a Co-Op and Tesco in New Ollerton. We visited Sundown Adventure theme park with our 3 year old little girl who enjoyed the whole experience. Cant wait to return to Orchard Park.

This is a wonderful site, very peaceful and well maintained. The owners are helpful and keep an eye on things without being intrusive. The pitches are well spaced out and the site is surrounded by fields which means it feels very safe for the children who you can still hear even though you might not see them (or at least you can hear my son!). The toilet block is clean and wonderfully warm - which is great in the middle of the night if you need a thaw out. Several nice pubs around in the village of Tuxford only a mile walk. We have been twice and will be back again.
