Just had a a long weekend at Orchard Park with 2 other families and have to say the site is lovely. It is absolutely spotless and so are the facilities. It is well layed out with big pitches. Owners very helpful and friendly. Will definitely go again.

Had the pleasure of a 1 night stay here on way to our main holiday and it is a wonderful site!! Very peaceful, owners are extremely friendly (rememberd us by name on the morning we checked out and the site was busy!, toilets immaculate, showers good with mop and bucket at hand to clean shower when you finished which was fantastic (other sites take note!) pitches excellent well marked and plenty of space!

Small childs play area, and orchard area still intact for a nice walk. small shop on site had good variety in order to rustle up quick meal and local facilities (supermarket, chippy, chinese) very good. Can recomend both the chippy and the chinese as we had our dinner from both! local Tesco approx 5 miles away which served us well for breakfast before we set off on last leg of our trip. Will definitely visit in the future.

Lovely site. Owners very helpful. Toilets/showers adequate and very clean. Our kids loved the adventure playground. Found a lovely pub with playground near to the River. Didn't notice any train noise mentioned in other review. Tuxford village just down the road with all the shops you need. Can't wait to go again

We camped on the rally field, and were pleased to find that this area was still small enough and sheltered enough to feel like part of the site (unlike some of the out of the way places tents seem to get put on some sites!). It was central for the toilet block, which was very nice, warm and clean. The owners were very friendly, and will even deliver bacon butties from the local sandwich shop to your tent / caravan on a Saturday morning! Will definitely go back.

The location was handy for Lincoln, Sherwood forest and Nottingham - lots we wanted to see but didn't have enough time in 3 days.

Stayed here early May. Great weekend, despite poor weather!

Well laid out and maintained little site. Very clean, excellent facilities.

Owners very friendly and helpful. Very willing to recommend pubs, local amenities etc. Small hut with lots of tourist information on display.

Village of Tuxford is pretty small, but site is well placed for things to do, with Clumber Park a short drive away.

Some road noise from A1, plus trains passing by is the onlt (very minor) negative. Didn't disturb us at all. Recommended site!

This is a great campsite site, we camped in a tent at the bottom on the site opposite the childrens play area, and very happy with pitch, you can camp on separate field if you do not require electrics.
Toilet and shower facilties very nice, cleaned once a day.

Windmill down road worth a visit, owner very nice will show you round it for £1.50. Newark is a lovely town to visit, only about 20mins drive down A1.

This was our first visit and would go back and recommend to anybody. Only downfall was the typical british weather.

This is a great camp site with excellent toilet and shower facilites. The top field used for tents is a little noisy with a fast train line and the A1. However there are a few regular visitors and the owners who make you feel very welcome. It's safe for kids and there is loads to do and nice pubs. Try out the Square and Compass, about 4 miles away. 8/10

Very very nice site. Stayed only one night to try out new tent, given nice pitch. Shower block very clean with free showers. tried to book again for following weekend, told fully booked not surprised.

 May Day Bank Holiday 2004
We have just come back from our first proper camping trip and I am so glad we had our first time at this site. The owners, Mr and Mrs Anderson, couldn't have been more helpful from the moment I first spoke to them to book they were very reassuring and always cheerful. We were pitched in the rally field and we had no real restrictions on how much space we had. They had not overcrowded the site which meant there was room for everyone. The showers and toilet block were clean and warm. The showers were free and although there were only two showers in the ladies there never seemed to be much of a queue. The shop was open from 8am to 7.30pm every day and stocked essential supplies, ie. tins of beans, milk etc. We spent a wonderful day at Sherwood Forest and are already trying to organise another trip to this lovely site and area.
