Lovely Campsite. The wardens were really nice and helpful. Facilities was fantastic, really, really clean and the music/radio playing in the toilets/showers was fantastic - made it less scary when going at 4am!
The fridge for your ice packs was a lovely added bonus.
The children loved the play area and the shop! There was lots of room and I cannot recommend this site enough.

First visit in a tent this year for the Easter weekend rain, high winds, freezing cold and snow, lots of it. We have a Suncamp super 6, managed to pitch it with a little help from a friend who has a caravan on site, best postion was backing on to the trees by the road, with John's help and loan of an extention cable we were still able to connect to the hook up as usual.
Only 4 tents in the rally field, one lost the fly sheet as they were pitching and thought they would have to go home, guess what? the owner, John, just happened to have a spare caravan (His own) which he towed in and let them use. Again we can only say what a fantastic site and owners. Back again in May, without the snow we hope.

We chose this site to break our journey from North Yorkshire to Kent and were very pleased we had. The owners were friendly and helpful, we had lots of room to pitch quickly in the dark and - best of all on a cold October evening - we were able to phone for a piping hot 'take away' to be delivered to the door of our caravan from a local restaurant! No fast food either - pies/stew/pasta - delicious! The toilet/shower blocks were nice (with cheerful music as a bonus!) We felt it was a pity to use this site purely as a stop-over (although we plan to do so again!) but if we ever decide to visit Nottingham for a bit longer.

Our first Bonfire weekend at Orchard Park, in a word, fantastic. Well done John and Dorothy and all your helpers. We will definitely see you next year, when can we book in?
Don't change anything you got it all right.
This will have been the 5th or 6th visit this year normally in a tent but this visit had the luxury of sharing a caravan. Tent or Caravan you will struggle to find a better site or owners.
Best wishes
John,Di and Eve

6 small motorhomes from a club here on 7/9 to 9/9. All members thoroughly enjoyed the site and it's facilities. Site owners were the most helpful I have ever come across - nothing was too much trouble for them - will definitely return if in the area again.

Our first ever camping experience( I have had to put August but it was the last day of the month!).
My wife and I took our 4 year old and 10 month old sons camping and we loved this site. Brilliant for kids, excellent play area and orchard/wood to explore safely. Very clean and well maintained toilets and two showers in each of the female and male blocks. Price included electricity (which we didn't have) and I noticed for £3 per weekend there is a WiFi connection available. The other families there were all friendly and there was another 'virgin' family next to us. So we didn't feel out of place. We had pitch 27 , which is next to the playground, which our kids loved but I was worried about the noise in the evening. But the park closes at 9pm , leaving us with some peace. We will be going back. And will try and get the same pitch. If any of the families who we met read this. Thanks. You helped make our first camping expedition really special.

We decided at last minute to 'go local' for the bank holiday and ended up here through recommendations from this site. The owners of the campsite were absolutely superb and incredibly helpful. The site was clean and quiet with good facilities. The showers were roomy and hot and the site also offered recycling facilities (I wish more sites did). The pitches were a little close together but not really an issue with a porch awning but may be of concern with a full awning. There was an excellent playground at the top of the site with a nature walk attached to the back of that! There are lots of things to go and see in the area Newark, Sherwood Forest etc and a few nice pubs but good dog walking was lacking in the area. The dog walk on site was really just a segregated walkway and not a place to exercise bigger dogs.
In all a nice site which we would have no hesitation in going back to.

Re really lucky to accidently stumble across this site. It’s near the A1 so we used it as an overnight stop on the way south and wished we could have stayed longer. Well maintained, large pitches bordered by orchard trees and bushes. Toilet facilities excellent - spotlessly clean and free piping hot showers. Owners very helpful. Kids loved the park and woodland trail. Could hear some trains at night as we were at the bottom end of the site nearest the track (although couldn’t see it), but this wasn’t really a problem. Couldn’t hear any traffic noise from the A1. Highly recommended.

Great campsite for a quiet family holiday. Generous pitches. Ideal playground for young kids with plenty of space to run around the orchard. Only 4 showers for the the whole campsite but even during August never really saw a queue .But I do tend to get up early with the kids. Friendly staff who let you get on with enjoying camping. Short distance from the Sherwood forest centre, if you fancy seeing an old big tree or shooting some arrows.
