The staff are lovely and camp site is always kept tidy.
The toilets are clean and are cleaned through out the day. The staff remind everyone that there is no noise after 10 oclock which is a very good idea.
The down side is very expensive considering there is only one toilet/shower block so its a long walk from the far field.
We were charged £25 per night for a medium sized tent and we didn't even have electric hook up either.

We came for the bank holiday week, with a large tent. We'd booked some months earlier and had a pleasant chat with the owner. We arrived in a shower, a sign of things to come, and were welcomed and shown to our spot, a nice large grassy pitch with electric near to the toilet block. The plot definitely sloped, but with careful positioning we got virtually flat, which was nice.
I'd been slightly worried that being so close to the toilet block might not be great, but judicious use of a windbreak made it fine. The toilet blocks themselves were excellent, very well maintained throughout our stay, despite the site looking like it was almost full for the week. There were plenty of families and young kids here, but by 10pm the site was silent.
We asked about putting up our flagpole and flags (no-one else had one up) and were told that there was no problem. Indeed, the he owners and staff were really nice and helpful throughout our stay.
The only downside was the weather, which was dull and showery throughout the week, but we found plenty to do - Chatsworth house and gardens, Monsal Head, Tissington Well Dressing etc. We came for some cycling, but didn't get onto any of the trails.
It was nice to be on the edge of Buxton; close enough for essential supplies (like a non-leaky airbed!) but it felt very much that we were out in the country, especially with the superb view of the nearby viaduct. We made use of one of the discount vouchers in the nearby Cheshire Cheese, and had an excellent meal and a beer or two there on our last night - taxi out, walked back.
Would we come back? Most definitely, we decided to try again next year before we left - we just need a bit more luck with the weather!

I would be happy to stay here again if I wanted to visit Buxton. The site is in a rural location and has beautiful views which compensate for the shortage of perfectly level ground for tent pitches. I found the information/games room with wifi very useful. The kids seemed happy enough with the play area.
The shops and pubs are a little too far away for walking but there is a special cheap taxi fare arranged. The Morrison supermarket is only a 3min drive away.

We spent an excellent Easter Weekend at this site with our 2 kids.
The owner and staff could not have been more helpful, the facilities were immaculate and with a short walk into Buxton the location is perfect.
The park is in a brilliant location to explore the Peak District and being just off the A515 makes access easy, but you are far enough away form the road to feel like that you are in the middle in of nowhere. Places close to the park that we visited are:
Chatsworth - 20 mins
Castleton and it's caverns - 15 mins
Bakewell - 15 mins
Monsal Dale Cycling Trail - 5 mins away by car
The statics and lodges also look great and would make this site a great place to meet up with non-camping friends or family.
To top it all off, on Easter Sunday the site had laid on an Easter Egg hunt for the kids where you had to explore all of the site and when you had found all of the clues you got an Easter Egg. This was a really nice way of spending our Easter Sunday and entertaining the kids.
In summary, this is an excellent site in a perfect location with immaculate facilities and friendly staff.

We spent 9 nights here from June 6th to June 15th & we stayed on what the site calls the arches section, which is just really a car park with electric hook ups & if we hadn’t paid before we arrived we would have pulled off after the first weekend. This site basically hasn’t got anything to offer, the arches section is a glorified car park which is next to a very busy road with constant traffic & the other section, which I believe is called tree tops, is the most unlevelled caravan park I have ever seen, some caravans are even packed up on breeze blocks to bring them level. The toilet block is ok but if you are in the arches section you have to walk up a road with a very steep incline. The site is situated near Buxton but if you want to walk there you have to use the road next to the site which is extremely busy with narrow footpaths & in fact the footpath is so narrow in places that at one time a car wing mirror hit my hand & knocked my phone onto the floor. The staff are very nice people & are very helpful but this site in my opinion is simply not good enough & to charge £28 per night is way too high for what you get. We will definitely never return to this site.

We spent five nights at this well-maintained site - our second visit. This time we stayed on the lower section which is quite near to the road so there was some traffic noise. The hardstanding was plenty big enough for caravan and awning, with EHU, water and chemical disposal all nearby. There were nice grassy areas between all the pitches too for barbecues etc.
The walk up to the shower block is quite steep, but mercifully short! The facilities were very clean and nicely kept, with local radio being played in the loos - which is always welcome. The site was full whilst we were there, but the showers were never too busy.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly. They seemed happy to provide local information. They will even tow your caravan up to the top field for you if you're a bit nervous!
It is easy to walk into Buxton using the public footpath (signposted) opposite the site entrance, but you need a torch at night as it's across fields. It takes less than 10 minutes, bringing you out near Morrisons, from where you can walk through the park into the centre.
Although the pavement alongside the road from the site is quite narrow in places, it really didn't seem too bad and we walked along it in both directions.
The site is in a very good location for a range of tourist attractions and some fabulous walks. We had a lovely walk from Poole's Cavern through Buxton Country Park to Solomon's Temple, as well as some fabulous walks in the Dales.
The Buxton Wetherspoons pub - the Wye Bridge House - is well worth a visit, serving good beer and food at a very good price!
Not the cheapest site, but the proximity to Buxton and the Dales makes it well worth it! We will definitely stay there again, and hope to visit Buxton's beautiful theatre next time too.

Just had a lovely 3 days here. The staff are very helpful & the farm shop is very good value. Although the taxi service is very good value we opted to walk into buxton, which was very pleasant. The site have negotiated some good discounts with local businesses which we used. All in all we would go back again

Stayed at this campsite for one night, two girls and a dog. All staff on site were very welcoming and helpful. Also directing us to various points of interest. Better than average facilities showers toilets washing facilities and a well stocked shop on site. There is also ample things for children here. Overall very happy we stumbled across this site. And a 20min stroll into buxton too!

Site is located in rural surroundings but yet within walking distance of Buxton.
The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely return when in this area.
The toilet and shower block was maintained to a high standard.
Plenty of goodpubs and eating places, supermarket about a mile away.
We did not visit the children's facilities as we didn't have the grandchildren with us on this occasion, but from what we saw it was very good.
WiFi was only available in reception area, but this was no problem.
