Fantastic site, excellent clean facilities.
Lovely easy walk to Buxton which has great pubs & coffee shops. Many are dog friendly.
We were lucky as the pavilion was holding a brilliant craft & food fayre, lots of Christmas shopping done.
Highly recommend this site.

Gorgeous site in a gorgeous setting.
We had a fabulous time,
Tina was welcoming and warm,
The facilities were excellent and clean, and as a couple with a young child, we felt that it was a safe space for our son to explore.
Thank you, we’d definitely return.

Lime Tree is a nice site and a good location - we'd visit again. Access is via a proper road not a farm track, but it's very narrow, be prepared to go slow and run up the kerb if necessary particularly if you're towing.
Staff were friendly and helpful, reception wasn't open very often but a mobile number is on display and wardens appeared quite quickly after we called.
The site itself has lots of statics and relatively few touring & camping pitches, many of them surrounded by trees and hedges - great for privacy and shade (it was very hot and sunny while we were there) but perhaps less appealing if it's cold or wet.
The statics are fairly well equipped - as at most similar places there weren't many oven dishes but soap and washing up supplies were provided. Only one shelf in the oven, and no ice box in the fridge so extra fridge space but nowhere for ice cream etc.
Not many electric sockets particularly in the bedrooms - the main bedroom had a single socket one side of the bed and none the other side, while the living room had tv, lamp and DVD player all plugged into a single socket.
It was the first time I've ever seen a walk-in wardrobe in a caravan - lots of space, and for once somewhere to stash the suitcases out of the way.
There is a small playground for younger kids - our son was a bit disappointed that there weren't any other children around but it was term time so perhaps in the holiday it would have been a bit more fun for him. The farm shop next door is recommended - local meat, bread and authentic Bakewell puddings.

Staff were great from the start- helpful explaining everything and leting us get set up when we arrived early. They dealt with any issues quickly (eg someone trying to burn loads of card on an open fire)
Location is good- just a short walk from town and plenty to do in the local area.
Camping areas are generally on a slope- except for a few terraced areas which already had campers on them. The guidance is to put tent where you want and car at the side- but it might be better with an allocated spot- a few areas looked cramped or made it difficult to get a car in and out.
The facilities were fine- maintained and kept clean. The site is on a narrow road which seems to be an extremely busy cut through- even through the night with some road noise. Its also on the flight path for planes landing at Manchester- that seems to go on through the night too- so be careful if you are a light sleeper.
Overall a good site, but just those minor issues to be aware of.

Nice site, in a quiet area. Walking distance to Buxton town centre, and you pass the supermarket on the way back.
We were pitched on the over-flow area, as we were not happy with allocated pitch. A little road noise, but still nice. (The allocated pitch was shared with another, and not to our preference]
Services not ideal, water taps area on hill, which is not ideal for motorhomes, as the vehicle has to be reasonably level for the tank gauges. We find this often with these types of parks, when trying to use facilities designed for caravans.
Steep hill up to toilet block, which was always clean and tidy.
Farm shop next door
Overall a nice site for short stop-over; a tad expensive for a car park but convenient for Buxton.

Fabulous site! Really peaceful and spaced out and facilities were very good.
Never had to wait for a toilet, washing up sink or shower even though the site was quite busy (fantastic weather)
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
There were no electric pitches left when we booked so we were on the camping field which is a free for all and large but no shade if that is what you like.
As we have a campervan we found a spot on one of the terraced areas (there are a few just up from the children's play area)
The walk into Buxton is about 1/2 hour and very easy, such a nice town to be able to walk to from the site.
Will definitely re visit this site.
Children's play area was very good and well kept.
Monsal trail easy to get to by car or bike.

I’ve been staying on this site almost every year since the 1990s, in a tent and then my campervan since 2006. The grounds and facilities are always well maintained with pleasant and helpful staff and this year was no different.
It’s about a 20 or 30 minute walk into Buxton and about the same distance if you want to walk to Grinlow Country Park. There are plenty of footpaths from the campsite into Deepdale and beyond if you are into more strenuous walks.
Good views of surrounding countryside. Campervan and touring caravan pitches are all fairly level and serviced by EHU with a short walk to water taps and chemical toilet disposal point and bins. No facilities for any recycling unfortunately so I take home paper, plastics etc.
Toilets and showers are spotless as well as a good outdoor (undercover) pot washing area.
I have used this site to meet up with friends who have stayed in the static caravans and/or the apartments on the same site and it’s only a short taxi ride from the Buxton train station for anyone who doesn’t drive.
Plenty to see and do in Buxton so this site is ideal for a stop over if you are going to the Opera House, Buxton Festival etc or just want somewhere to explore the Peak District from
Will be returning!

A very nice well kept site.
The showers etc are some of the nicest we have used on a campsite.
It was an added bonus that Buxton is only about a 20 minutes walk away although the road directly running alongside the site can get very busy and the footpath is very narrow in parts.
