Firstly,we would like to say that we are definatly going again.
This campsite seemed very quiet though we did not go during peak time.
The staff were extremely friendly and were happy to open the shop at any time and tell you all the best places to visit.
The toilet blocks were very clean and spacious though the hair dryer did take almost an hour to dry my hair so it was easier to not bother. There were no plugs so couldn't even use my own hair dryer which would have been nice given how slow the site one was.
There were loads of places to pitch the tent and you can put it any where, so you can have loads of privacy on the terraces or be social on the big pitch.
It was reasonably priced though not the cheapest around.
The shops are in easy reach and there are loads of places to visit
We would definatly recommend it and would hapilly go back again.

Fantastic clean site. Good facilities. Great for kids. Lovely camping. We had a super week here.
Strongly recommend this site.
Will be back without a doubt. We felt really secure to let our 8 year old play out. The facilities are really clean. The play area is good and the whole place is in a beautiful setting.

Just returned from a lovely weekend at Limetree, despite the mainly wet weather. The owners were very friendly and it was a professional set up.
We were in the part of the site with electric hook up with mainly caravans and motorhomes. The toilets were very clean and it was a nice touch having piped music played.
The site is close to Buxton, which is a lovely place with plenty to do. It was a little noisy at night due to their being a fair in Buxton (carnival weekend), which could be heard quite clearly at the site and there was a little road noise.
That said though, this didn't bother our stay and we would definitely recommend the site to anyone and will visit again.

This is my new favourite place to visit ! We phoned on Friday afternoon and by tea time we had a fantastic pitch for our tent (of our choosing - 'It's YOUR holiday, put your tent where you like !') and access to steaming hot showers/immaculately clean toilets and a really nice, atmospheric spot in Derbyshire. Plenty of nearby places to visit (Chatsworth - Bakewell etc) and great views/walks. Owners were very friendly and pleasant . To be honest, we're having some personal problems at the moment and this was a great opportunity for us to chill and relax . EXCELLENT value for money too. Cannot recommend this place enough - thank you so much ! We're well pleased !

Me and the wife tried out Lime Tree Park for our first camping trip and we were very impressed. Reception staff were very cheerful and helpful. We drove up through the sheltered tent terrace area (which was already full up) and onto the main camping field.
The field slopes somewhat but not too much to cause any major problems. We slept pointing downhill which was fine. The field is slightly exposed especially near the top so if it's windy take care pitching your tent. Our neighbours were good sports and helped us out with our 4 man tent as it was a bit blustery.
The views and setting are great and the facilities on the site are top notch - The toilets were clean and always had hot water, and there's a games room and a small shop.
Nothing to complain about, the atmosphere was good and the 10.00 curfew was generally well observed.
A great site for families, couples and as we found a good site for camping beginners.

Just retruned from a weekend at Lime Tree and we had a fantastic time.
First impressions when we drove on, wasn't sure if we would enjoy it as we were directly facing the toilet block on the tent field (with elec hook up). The pitches were also on a slight slope. But within a few minutes of arriving we loved it.
We turned the tents (as went with friends) sideways so even though there was a slope our beds were facing in the right direction. Toilets were clean and showers very hot although not very powerful.
We were on pitches 37a and 38a and would say the only drawback to these pitches was that in a morning, I could hear people walking to the shower block and washing up area so if you wanted a lie in, you had no chance.
The staff on site were extremely helpful and friendly.
We actually stayed on the last day until 5 pm (pay an extra £5 and you can stay until 6pm rather than rushing off for 12).
Nice walk into Buxton, over the fields with sheep in, kids loved it, and at the bottom of the road there is a Morrisons.
There is a childrens play area and also a large field to play ball games as none allowed on the site but the grass was too long in the field to play any games which was a shame.
Will be returning some time this year as one of the best ones we have stayed at.

We've just come back from Lime Tree park and would definitely come here again.
We didn't bring a car and found it very convenient to walk to morrissons (about a 15 minute walk) and in general found all our facilities within easy walking distance. The campsite was lovely and the staff are very friendly, and the layout of the tents is really good.
The only thing I would say is that there are no plugs in the ladies toilets, although there is a free hairdryer which took about an hour to dry my hair, I would have much preferred to use my own especially as we had wet and cold weather on a few days.
Overall I would describe it as a beautiful, clean, safe park close to all the facilities you may need. Definately worth a visit.

Very welcoming and friendly site. It was the end of half term when we arrived and the kids were abundant, so they could do with a play area.
There is a small games room and shop plus a 24 hour Tesco Express 2 mins from site.
Toilets we clean and free! and facilities adequate.
We really enjoyed our stay as the atmosphere was great, but the pitches are a little close together so be prepared to talk to your neighbour.
Places visited were Solomon's Temple and Cheek Hill (if you like walking go to the trig point at 551).
Great experience!

We've just returned from a very wet, very windy, and very good time here. It was our very first camp and decided to go thanks to the reviews here. The staff were very helpful, the toilets and showers were very clean. Even though it was quite busy I rarely encountered anyone else in the toilet blocks. It also rained pretty much all the time we were there and there was no sign of mud in the toilet/shower blocks either.
There are some nice terraced areas with shade and shelter from the trees and also a large sloping field for camping too.
The childrens park area kept my two children, 8 and 5 years of age, entertained with their new found friends.
Morrisons is only a short drive away so next time we go we'll only take a few basics with us and get the rest there.
Buxton also contains a Yeomans and Millets so any equipment that breaks or is lost can be replaced.
I can't recommend this site more. If you want a nice relaxing time then go here.
We did have EHU with us but booked too late to get a pitch with EHU however when we arrived we took a walk around the site and noticed that the EHU pitches were mixed with the touring caravans. The pitches were nice and level but we don't think we'd have had such a nice time as the layout didn't seem to offer the opportunities to mix with the other campers like the terraced non-EHU area did.

Good welcome from lady on reception. Took time to explain about the site and facilities. As mentioned previously, the toilets/showers were very clean, the best I've used in the UK!
The site is about 15 mins walk to Buxton, 20 mins on the return, as it's uphill.
'No noise after 10pm' signs - and no one did.
The downside is that it's under a flightpath and there's a railway line in the distance operating diesel engines. I was woken up by shunting at 05.30. A bit pricey too at £14 for a 2 man tent per night(and I was by myself). But I'd go back and I'd recommend it.
