When you arrive you are shown to your pitch by a member of staff.
The shower block is second to none with hot water 24/7 & within easy walk of all pitches. All pitches are on hardstanding with room for an awning. Water fill up is located centrally as is waste water disposal but there is no motorhome service point on the site. The site is always kept tidy.
On the site you have a small shop, games room with an information room as well as a laundry room.
Buxton is only a short walk away with plenty of shops & bars. Morrisons would be the closest supermarket.

The owners/staff were all very friendly and helpful and contributed to a very enjoyable stay.
The facilities are spotless and checked at various times of the day. Three showers, always very hot and have never had to queue for a shower.
A 10-15 minute walk can get you into the centre.
There is a Weatherspoons with a big park for the kids to run around.
I definitely recommend this site and we will be returning with the tent shortly.

Great site - highly recommended.
Stayed here for 3 nights and got the last touring pitch. Well kept place and warden shows you to your pitch.
2 adults and 2 kids and we stayed in the upper part of the site - near toilets but a bit away from the small play park. There is a small shop.
Everything on this site was immaculate. Family room in the toilet block is a bonus. We were on a hard standing and stayed bone dry even through the rain. Maybe about 15mins walk from the outskirts of town. Very quiet and secure.

We stayed at Lime Tree park for two nights over the weekend, rang up and booked on the Friday morning and they were able to find room for us! We said we might arrive slightly after 8pm and they were OK with that, as long as they had notice of roughly what time. We arrived and they booked us in very quickly, lots of brochures and guides in reception. We had to ride around a bit to find a spot as they were busy. We came on motorbikes so tried to find some hard ground to park them.
The site is right off the main road and very easy to locate, but far enough away not to hear any traffic. There are some sheep on the surrounding fields, but what do you expect in the peak district!
There is a games room that stays open until 8pm, but I noticed people in there after this time on Sat night. There is a small play area with swings, swing bridge, slide and seesaw.
They also have a laundry room which had a washing machine and dryer, didn't use either so can't comment on that. The toilets were in great condition, as were the showers. Never grubby when I went in, so must be cleaned quite a bit! My experience of the showers was excellent, lots of hot water, although some other people commented that theirs was luke warm. I'd advise using the showers when no one else is in there!
Great location for Buxton, we walked in on the Saturday morning, probably took about 30 mins (not sure if we went the quickest way). We were able to get a taxi on the way back for £4, but there is also a bus service that runs to the hospital on the main road. Not much in way of restaurants very near the site, but Buxton has loads of different places to eat. We ate at Firenze Pizzeria, they had an early bird offer (5. 30-6. 30 I think), any pasta or pizza dish and garlic bread between 2 for £5. 20 each. Very good value and tasty too, recommended.
Loads of things to do and see around Buxton, you can get a top up of natural mineral water from the fountain by The Slopes. Lots of independent shops, very pretty town.

It is nice and clean site with separate areas for touring caravans and tents.
There are 3 toilets and showers for each of the mens and womens sides and 2 sinks for washing up by the coded toilet block, given the size of the site this seems a little on the sparse side of things.
The toilets and showers are well maintained, clean and free.
The fields are generally sloping with a few small level areas which are quickly taken, there is also a playground.
There is also a pool room by reception.
Price was £15 night, under 5s are free. £20 per night for a big tent including 2 adults.
The top field is sloping and catches the wind, the more sheltered pitches are quickly taken. The owners/ maagers are lovely people so I would revisit but probably out of season when its quieter.

Stayed for one night, wardens helpful & friendly. Weather was wet & windy and they suggested we camp on the grass verges before the open camping field as they were shielded by the conifer trees, which we didn't mind as we didn't want to be too near other people.
Camp site facilities were great, little shop, pool room, laundry and the cleanest toilet block I have ever seen at a camp site.
Everything looked to be well looked after and maintained. Campsite 5 mins taxi drive from centre of buxton.
All in all a good campsite and would visit again but hopefully better weather next time!

Just had a three night break at Lime Tree Park. This is a lovely site with country views.
Helpful friendly staff, all facilities are excellent, clean shower & toilet blocks which were modern. Good stocked shop. TV / games room for the kids.
The only down side was the play ground which are two said was 'a bit small' but this in no way stopped us or them having a great time.
The Derbyshire town of Buxton is only a short drive or even walk away with plenty to see & do.
Would recommend this site & we will be back again.

This is a wonderful camping ground. Clean, tidy and the camping pitches were well maintained and protected. It is not a long walk into town from the site or to a local Morrisons
We were late checking in but the warden showed us about and filled us in on the need-to knows. The showers and toilets were immaculate with hair dryers and the entrance is key coded, I guess to prevent walkers using them.
Unfortunately there is no recycling at the site. Apparently the council don't pick up from there. However, there are ample recycling facilities at Morrisons, so maybe the owners could still consider collecting and recycling. This was the only negative

Myself and my two daughters, 9yrs and 13yrs of age, visited Limetrees Park, last weekend, our first visit to the 'Peak District', I arrived as a single parent, and we were keen to have some fun.
We stayed in the 'Lightwood Lodge', which we all agreed, was fantastic, with incredible views.
Ian and Gilly (Site Managers) took us under their wings, and were brilliant hosts, they provided us with ideas of places of interest to visit, that appealed to all of us.
At night time, Ian and Gilly invited us to join them and other occupants from the park, had a Chinese takeaway Friday night, and a BBQ, Saturday night, we also had a dip in their hot tub, which the girls couldn't stop talking about.
Fantastic site, people, and scenery, WOW what a break, well worth the visit, and we shall be definitely be returning.

We didn't think we could get away for the long Bank holiday weekend as we had jobs to do but fortunately for us we managed 1 night on the Sunday. After ringing round many sites we were overjoyed when Lime Tree park said they could accommodate our motorhome.
They were so helpful on the phone, even said they would make sure first and ring us back which they did within 5 minutes.
On arrival although the site was so busy they explained to us fully where things were situated and even told us the best way of walking into Buxton, nothing seemed too much trouble.
Toilets were immaculate and even played music in there which I found as a nice touch. Even though the site was full the site was very clean and we noticed that the bins were emptied regularly.
It was only a 20 minute walk in to Buxton which has many bars and restaurants. It was an enjoyable night and we were just sorry that we hadn't spent longer at the site. It is a site that I will definitely return to.
