Just been here got to say great location 20 mins walk from Buxton with great views to.
Staff friendly, facilities very clean.
Just a word of warning the piches are tiny we could only just get our awning up on little 2 berth camper. Also the pitch we were given (60) was right next to the dog poo bin (3 foot away) it stunk!
So in short I would recommend the site but not pitch 60 but go knowing your packed in very tight and children don't respect other people's pitches.

Stayed here for the weekend, we had stayed here once before and were pitched at the top -Hillside view I think. This time we were pictched at the bottom and what a huge difference that made.
The pitches are tiny, once the awning was up you were touching distance from the van next to you. Cars having to be parked at the fromt of the caravan. Furthermore, the back of our caravan was about 6ft away from the main road, which is fairly busy. Ot at least it felt like that at 3 in the morning with cars speeding past only a few feet away from us!
There is a small park for the kids and a small games room which does have free wifi. This does seem like a lovely idea until you realise that instead of your kids playing out, which is what caravanning is all about, they all congregate in the games room glued to their I pads, smart phones etc.
The toilets were a bit of a distance away but were very clean, however there was no hot water on the Sunday morning, much to my husbands annoyance when he went for a shower.
The cost I believe is very steep, it was £62 for 2 nights for 3 of us. Yes, its in a beautiful setting and the site is very clean however I don't think they can justify the same cost for the pitches at the bottom of the site which are nowhere near as good as the top ones.
We asked to stay later on until 2pm on the Sunday and was told this was ok, only to have a warden loudly question us on the Sunday in front of other caravanners. Even when we explained it had been agreed he shrugged and said 'well your on someone elses pitch!'
All in all despite it being an excellent location I will not be back and I would advise anyone who is booking to check where they are going to be piched before booking.

Just visited this site, they were very friendly and helpful, the site was clean and well looked after, the shower blocks were very clean and tidy. I read a few reviews that said the pitches were close together, I cannot say I felt that at all, I really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the site. There is a walk through a sheep field into town, which my dog loved. On the lead of course! The other way into town is busy but do able!

A very nice clean site in beautiful surroundings.
We were pleasantly greeted when arriving at the site, by very friendly helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble to sort out and the staff were always on hand especially when a little help was needed to move our caravan.
The toilet and shower block were spotless and well maintained as was the site in general.
The shop kept good supplies of provisions if you didn't want to go in to Buxton.
Only comment, shower was a bit on the cold side, although the weather was a bit chilly.
Highly recommended.

Visited this site mid week ond out os school holidays so it was very quiet. We checked in easily enough and were given lots of information about the area, nearby pubs and attractions as well as vouchers for money off.
The site is lovely and clean, well laid out and the facilities are immaculate. There are lovely views from virtually all the pitches which aren't huge but certainly adequate.
The location is excellent for Buxton. We would definitely look to return.

Just had a lovely weekend at Lime Tree. This is a very convenient site for Buxton. The Town is within walking distance. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The toilet block is kept clean and tidy. The shop and games room are also well managed. The pitches are a reasonable size and many have good views of the surrounding countryside. We like this site and will use it again.

We were given a warm welcome upon arriving at this lovely site, where we had booked a slot at the Campervan Corner. This, we were told, we had to ourselves - they were trying to dry it out as the area had had so much rain. It was a small area, however, and we would have struggled to fit our family sized awning on the pitch if there had been two other vans there also (they usually booked three apparently). This said, it was a fabulous spot (if on a bit of a slope), and we enjoyed being surrounded by the daffodils.
The facilities were absolutely SPOTLESS - some of the cleanest I have ever seen (although there was no lock on the first ladies' cubicle unfortunately - not a problem for us as it was so quiet). The showers were good too (although the hand dryer was old and had seen better days).
The children were delighted by the games room, which was open until 8pm and contained a pool table and - most importantly - internet access and somewhere to charge their phones! There was a lovely big field for them to play ball on at the top of the site, where there were only a couple of tents - although it was the Easter holidays, there was hardly anybody camping there (it was only just above freezing at night so not for the fainthearted).
There was a shop for essentials, and a Morrisons very closeby. Lovely location, with a beautiful Victorian viaduct providing a great backdrop. Super little playground as well, on woodchips, everything in good working order (with a narrow slide too narrow for teenagers to hang out on!).
We would not hesitate to recommend this friendly site.

We visited here with friends that were camping, we could not be sited on the same field but we already knew this when we booked as the site was full so this was not a problem (although we noted on arrival that an awful lot of pitches were being used for seasonal use). We were actually sited on what we understood to be the overflow area which unfortunately although level was adjacent to a road which did get busy on occasion especially with early morning work traffic. After looking around the upper field where our friends were located we noted that most of the pitches were nowhere near level and a lot of pitches were taken up by seasonal pitches, so maybe we were better off where we were put. Nice play area for the kids and a small shop that sells essentials etc. Site is ideally placed for visiting Buxton, you can walk into town along a small path and Morrisons is only a little further in the opposite direction. The staff here were fantastic, very friendly, chatty and helpful however when we visited they had problems with the supply of hot water into one of the two toilet blocks and whilst I never had any problems both my wife and our friends had to suffer from the showers turning cold whilst using them, not ideal. We were informed that the system was new and for some reason components were failing, We understand that these things happen no matter where you are however this was intermittent throughout our whole stay (7 days). The toilet blocks themselves although a little dated were always spotlessly clean no matter what time of day we visited, again testament to the fab job the staff do but this is the first site we have ever stayed at that required a coded lock to be on the facility blocks, what's this all about? One of the days during our stay our little one wanted to play pool so we duly dispensed with the 50p but she returned a little while after stating that a lady was using the table as an ironing board and had told her that she would be there for about four hours, absolutely unbelievable! Overall a nice site but we have visited far better within the area so for that reason we will not be returning.

Liked: The location - close to Buxton (1 mile walk) it has many pubs/restaurants close by.
Disliked: We specifically asked if they were FULLY open to tent bookings - we were told yes. We paid a deposit on this basis.
When we got there, they said the normal pitches were water-logged. And we'd have to pitch in an area reserved for late-arrivals that was a thin cover over rubble - took ages to find cracks to get the tent pegs into. We were also told that they were actually closed to tents and the person who'd taken the deposit had been 'too keen'. It felt like they were trying to make out they were doing us a favour for letting us stay, but no apology given for their false promises.
I checked the normal pitches - they were fine. The site we pitched on was surrounded by statics and right next to the road - convenient for going to the loo, but unpleasant for camping on for any length of time - fortunately we were only there 2 nights so we didn't kick up a fuss.
The toilet blocks were unheated (they had heaters but they were turned off), and had no hot water. They also said we could use showers, but only in the block that was up where we were expecting to pitch - however, this block was also unheated (it may have had hot water we didn't check).
We noticed that the man in front of us was requesting a specific location, and was told he'd been put somewhere else. I guess it's their normal practise to assign pitches when they take the booking? Worth asking when making the booking as most people will prefer at least some choice!
In our case the fact they refused to let us go anywhere else is puzzling as the reason they offered (water-logging) was patently untrue. They also mentioned shelter from the wind, and while we were certainly sheltered where we pitched, the tent was more than capable of standing up to the winds in the regular location. At least I'd expect to be offered the option.

Very nice site and in a good position for walking into Buxton quite a busy road to walk on but there is a footpath. Showers and toilets spotless and lots of hot water. The site is on a slope but wasn't a problem. I was very disappointed with the market just three stalls in all. But there is a Morrisons just 15 minutes walk from the site and a Tesco extra if you walk the other way. Perhaps wouldn't go the Buxton again nothing to do with the site but the town isn't what I expected v busy roads lots of traffic from the quarry shame bet it was a lovely town pre quarry But am told the site is in a good position for some nice walks.
