We booked this site mainly because we fancied a change (keep being drawn back to the New Forest!) and were tempted by the very reasonable price. Sadly, for the second year running, we have found to our disappointment that you most definitely get what you pay for!
We arrived on the first day of the beautiful weather at the end of July following the horrendous wet weather for the last few months. Surprisingly, the pitches were not waterlogged, but other campers informed us that only a couple of days previously they had been.
As others have stated, you are able to pick your own pitch which is not something we are used to, but rather liked. We had reserved Field 6 and this was nice and close to the shops and reception. The staff in the Reception were extremely helpful and pleasant, shame the same could not be said for the shop staff! We did not experience the Beach Comber so cannot comment.
Pros:
Decent sized pitches all beautifully flat
Shop well stocked and not hideously overpriced
Excellent market on site every Wednesday well worth a visit
Little park area on the field for the children
Ice cream parlour does a 99 for 99p from 4-5pm every day biggest ice-creams we have ever seen and fantastic value
Close to Cheddar, Weston Super Mare and Burnham on Sea
Stunning beach with loads of sand super safe for little ones (just mind the cars)
Free climbing wall, zip wire and archery included in the price of your pitch excellently managed and very much enjoyed by the whole family
Tractor ride free on Friday and Saturday evenings (takes about 30 minutes for a round trip)
Fun City is very good fun, and if you take advantage of any offers, good value for money
Toilet blocks clean and showers readily available, with washers and dryers on every field
Cons:
Very large and impersonal
Brean itself is vile!
As we noticed last year in the IOW, newer people to camping do not seem to have the camping etiquette and will allow their children to run in and around other peoples pitches
Very noisy campers arriving at 7am in the morning this contradicts their website earliest arrival time of midday, and managed to wake us all up!
Nearest decent supermarket is miles away Brean only has a Premier etc
Some of the campers were using language that we thought inappropriate for childrens ears, until we heard their children using the same language!
In a nutshell, not our sort of campsite. However, and this is a big however, we did have a smashing holiday. The local people of Somerset are amazing incredibly helpful and friendly (tested to the extreme when our car broke down 30 minutes from the campsite and a local garage could not have done more to help!). We also took advantage of the fact that the area is sooo flat beautiful for cycling, and even took our 6 year old twins road cycling for the first time. Easily clocked up 12 mile bike rides with little effort (only a few sore bottoms!).
Lovely part of the world, with amazing people and loads to do. However, if we went to Warren Farm again I would probably chose a quieter field (maybe Field 11) but would consider again due to the good value for money.

We arrived at Warren Farm in very windy conditions and following a very wet spell. (See my review of Kiln Park for more of that!)
On arrival, like others, we pulled in at the main reception, not realising each field has its own reception. On checking in at field 11 we were given directions to the lower area and told to choose our own pitch, of which there were plenty free. I agree with other reviewers about the drainage issue - it had been very wet but the road where we were in field 11 is higher than the pitches. Despite there being a deep drainage channel behind our pitch it was very hard to find one that was not waterlogged.
On the positive side, the toilet block is very well designed and was kept spotless at all times. The 50p for 8 minutes showers are well designed and reasonable compared to what you can pay on some Irish sites.
The food in the Beachcomer pub is good and quite well priced, especially the lunchtime specials. Only had a drink in the Brean Inn next to us but seemed nice. Food looked good but a bit expensive for a family of four.
The on site shop is quite well stocked.
A lot of the on site activities for our 12 and 14 year old were not up and running which was disappointing.
Anyone thinking of going to this site should take note of the scale on the map they provide on their website. If you like long walks then this site is for you! Things are a good distance from one another, and to be fair to their website, the map is accurate. There is a nice fishing lake on site and the beach is very accessible.
Main reception staff, one girl in particular, was very helpful with planning trips out and helped our lads research skateboard parks online.
Overall, the site is stretched out a long way and there could be a little more to do off-peak. However, it is well run and when the weather gets good (which it did for our last four days), this is a nice place to be and to travel out from to Cheddar Gorge etc.

My hubby, 2 year old twin boys, 1 year old little girl and I stayed here the last weekend in June 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed the site,
We found that there was a few bits on site to entertain the kids ie the indoor barn and the outdoor play park as we have 3 very young kids, also feeding the duck and geese at the pond,
We also found that there was also a bit to do around the area as well.
We found the site to be very clean and tidy, facilities were very clean and everything to hand. We found it to be reasonably priced as well.
We would go back again and also would recommend to friends and family

Fab site lovely and clean my boys aged 8 and 10 love it here plenty to do you can walk into the fair and various pubs and shops on the main road. They have a lovely market every Wednesday.
Lovely and clean toilets considering how busy it was there for Whitsun will definitely be going back lets just hope the weather gets better.
Only downside I could see with the site is that the club house gets very full and they have entertainment in the night which you can not take the children into, they had kate perry act in there one night which my boys were looking forward to, but you can't take children in so they were disappointed.

This is not normally the type of site my husband and I go for as it seemed to cater mainly for statics, caravans and camper vans (we like the smaller sites usually).
However the location and price of this site drew us in and we weren't disappointed.
'Perfect' sums up this site. The staff were approachable, friendly and helpful.
We booked online and chose field 11 so we weren't too close to the busy part of the site.
Lovely large pitches, all clearly marked plenty of room for a large tent, car and chairs/tables out the front of the tent. We were warned that that part of the world could get a little windy but if you pick the right site there is plenty of sheltered spots in every field. As it was we had lovely weather and only 1 slightly breezy night (we've had worse in Cornwall)
The toilets/showers were fabulous, always well stocked and spotlessly clean. Don't be put off by the size of this site we never had to queue at any time of the day and we were there the first weekend of the jubilee bank holiday.
The surrounding area to the site has plenty of paths to meander along and across the road is miles and miles of sandy beach. The walk up Brean down is well worth it.
With 2 supermarkets 2 pubs (both do a good selection of food and at a reasonable price)and countless take away options you will never go hungry or thirsty. For the Cider lovers there is a fantastic Cider farm shop about 3 miles down the road to Weston.
Found the bus to Weston a little expensive (nearly £10) for 2 adults and it doesn't run very late for the journey back. However the taxi back took half the time and only cost £15 so if there's more that 2 of you it's not a bad price.
There's a couple of restaurants and bars in Breann that we tried (all did cider so other half was happy).
Great base for exploring Cheddar Gorge, Bath, Medip hills and the Levels.
Well done Warren Farm. Loved the place and will be back.

My wife and I decided on a one night stay in Sunny Brean Sands.
We arrived on Friday night and bearing in mind the winds were heavy to say the least and were warned that the site was only accepting 1 night bookings due to the weather, this was good to know.
The night itself was very rough but everything else 100% perfect!
The reception staff were friendly, helpful and very polite, pitches are all grass pitches and spacious. The fee we paid being over a School Half term was £21 with EHU.
Toilets was top class! But more attention to cleaning could be looked at as the last time we visited they were spotless all the time of our stay.
The Beachcomber venue was fantastic with a great range of music and entertainment. Drinks promotions and good food was all on offer.
Just over a mile walk into Brean Sands, but on a pleasant day this is not an issue!
We would and will be returning to warren farm, quality camping without the attitude as some sites in Brean give you!
Thank you for a great night away!

We have just returned from this site and I was pleasantly surprised with the set up. I'm use to camping in a field with basic facilities. We were staying at sunnyside, which is field 11, very quiet. This field is set back from the main site, which is static and touring caravans.
The receptionist was very friendly and we were shown to our pitch. There is a very clean toilet block and washing up block in this field. The shower block and more toilets are in the field behind. You do have to pay 50p for 8mins of hot water.
The pitch sizes were approx 7mx9m plenty of space as well. We had views of Weston Super Mare and the pier at night. There is a large dog walking area as well as a farm walk to do.
The main site has a cafe a well stocked shop and amusements. We were very surprised at the prices in the amusement 10p retro games. Bowlingo for one pound per person. There were 2 pubs very nearby one has entertainment, these got very busy.
I can recommend the fish and chip shop with chinese take away. The beach is very close by as well.
All in all this site is excellent for families, very clean and well laid out.

Just back from our second stay at warren farm, first time we went we took one tent for the two of us this time we had another tent for six people in total.
As it was the jubilee weekend it was very busy with not many free pitches but there was still enough room for everyone, the toilets are kept clean (it's just a shame that some people can be a bit dirty).
The beachcomber pub was really busy on Saturday night and there was a real shortage of seats, but we managed to find some and the food was lovely.
We had a problem with the electric going off during a downpour but it was fixed really quickly. Once again I would recommend this site, it's big but clean and really well organised, suitable for all ages.

This was my first visit to this site, but probably not the last.
Reception: Excellent welcome from the staff with clear and concise info regarding pitching (although some people don't seemed to have listened), with a nice welcome pack with site info explaning what was going on.
Pitch: We were on field 5, all pitches were noted to be reasonably flat and well grassed, a first come first served allocation of pitches was the order of the day. Pitches were of a nice size and a not to far walk from the toilets(even on a far side of the field pitch)
Toilets/Showers: I first thought the amount of showers for the size of field was pretty poor, but I never had a problem finding an empty one. Plenty of toilets and sinks. Cleanliness was a bit of a let down(though never dirty).
Because the site was very busy, perhaps more regular checks by staff could have been carried out.
Facilities: Excellent, lots of things to keep you doing something and not leaving the site to find food, from the Beachcomer complex to the Playbarn, chip shop to chinese.
Negatives: Kids scooters - Be aware everywhere you turn you will find a posse of kids on scooters, whether going through the Beachcomer, left on the floor by the chipshop, left on the floor in the Playbarn, left on the floor bt the toilets. So keep you eyes peeled to the floor - you have been warned.
Summary: What an excellent site, very good value for money, nice location. I am a bit picky on the toilet cleanliness, this is easily improved on, especially if site's customers had a bit more respect of the sites services.

This was our first trip (myself, 30 something, my husband, 30 something and our two children 4 and 2) to a site that had entertainment and I am afraid to say it will be our last.
I was very very disappointed with this site. It was marketed as a family friendly site with 200 pitches - it certainly wasn't aimed at my sort of family, wasn't friendly and had about 200 pitches in our field alone! There are about 12 fields!
We were put in field 5 which is close to the play area (this turned out to be a couple of swings and a wooden boat) right in between lots and lots of caravans. I think this is predominately a caravan park but the owners are now trying to cash in by having tents too. It was very noisy and no one had any regards to other people. They were shouting and laughing and playing music until gone 11pm every night. On our last night, a family arrived and pitched their tent right next to ours (by this I mean their tent pegs were touching our tent!) and they played loud music, sang, swore, shouted, laughed and made very crude comments until the early hours, during this time the warden for the site drove past but chose to ignore them!
No one spoke to us there, not even to say good morning!
I like camping as I find it generally sociable and I enjoy meeting new people, this simply was not the case at Warren Farm. No one wanted to speak to you and at times people were very ignorant.
The staff weren't helpful at all and gave you the impression that they would rather not be there. The only slightly friendly person we found was in the chip shop!
I don't know if this was caused by the fact that there was entertainment provided and so people didn't need to make conversation or whether they really were ignorant but it has definitely put us off camping on a large site again.
The toilets and showers were however cleaned very regularly and yet still people managed to leave hairs in sinks and toilets filthy?! If you use the sinks to wash your hair - clean it out afterwards, similarly, if you drop toilet paper on the floor - pick it up!
I agree with the previous poster about the children on their scooters and bikes, they are everywhere! They didn't really bother me, it was a busy site and they had to play somewhere, but it could be an accident waiting to happen.
All in all I think this should stay as a caravan site and not a camping site, the owners should get in staff that make you feel welcome and the visitors to the site should try and be a bit more considerate.
