We have just returned from a seven night stay in a static van on the Isis Park part of this site (across the road from the main site). The vans are not IN the dunes as the picture may have you believe. However, we could see the sea and the van was spotless. Kitchen a bit sparsly equipped (could do with a few more sharp knives, mixing bowls etc) but absolutely fine for day to day stuff. Microwave, fridge, full size oven/grill, kettle, toaster. Obviously April is a bit of a cold month but the gas heater in the main living area warms you quickly. The gas needed a 'wiggle' on our first morning and some one was out very quickly to help us.
Being low season all the facilities were open for limited hours so be aware of that if you go at this time of year.
Shop - well stocked and good prices for the items we bought. Did tend to shut early.
Take aways - not open when we passed
Animals to pet - we took our little girl to visit at 6:30pm as suggested and she could pet the goats, donkey and guinea pigs etc.
Beachcomber Inn - for what it is, it's great. Extensive menu, admittedly all typical pub food, but all arrived hot (where appropriate!), good size portions and well priced. Friendly staff. If you have a toddler, don't order the childs meals - they are massive. If you have older children you'll get a good deal! desserts very good value
Play barn - sadly not open when it suited us.
The site - extremely clean and well presented.
We were out and about most days so did not use play areas but they looked great.
Showers etc - we had a nose around and the block by the shop/take away looked brand new. The best campsite block we have ever seen and for that reason would not object at all to paying to use the showers (50p for 8 mins as a previous reviewer has already said). I can shower in under three.
The site its self is a bit off the beaten track and away from the perhaps more 'tacky' places down the road. This was really good for us as we like to be somewhere a bit quiter without loads of traffic passing. A bus comes practically to the front door and we saw loads so they must be quite frequent.
We ate at the Beachcomber most nights as it was close and meant we could get child to bed. Did go to Seagull down the road one night. Not impressed. Huge with hundresd of tables and I can imagine very noisy in the summer when packed with families. Burger was incinerated. Childs meal very unappetising.
Beach - the whole stretch of sand along this part of the coast has sinking sand which made me nervous to start with, but then I saw its obvious where to keep back from and there's plenty of safe sand to play on. Kids don't care what the weathers like when they are digging in the sand!
Its obviously the inconsiderate patrons of any site that make it messy and as we were there at low season there was no one there to make a mess. We thought the site was so good we are going to return at high season with our tent and see if the standards remain.

Hello just arrived back this evening. What can I say this place is amazing if you have kids they will love it. If you have teenagers they will also love it. It is the cleanest site I've ever stayed on. We only planned to stay for one night but ended up staying for 3 nights, four days as we enjoyed ourself that much. In fact going back this friday for the weekend and have left the caravan there so we can arrive without delay. Fantastic run site couldnt be more helpful if they tried, recommend this site to anyone who wants to have fun or relax and I would say suitable for any age range

Fab site and field 6's toilet block is lovely - piped music/radio which I liked. Not that we have kids that age but it felt safe for them to play in the small playground. The site shop had a good selection and the site club/bar seemed to have just about everything including friendly staff. The surrounding area is ok but nothing too great unless you travel out a bit. The beach which is opposite has sinking sands and didnt look that inviting. We went to Glasonbury which has a few shops but if you really like shopping go to Street retail shops - its just down the road from Glasonbury.
All in all if you want a relaxing weekend it would be a good choice.

An excellent site but it is at the end of a long road which is a dead end - finishing at Brean Down which is well worth a hike to the top for the views. The shower blocks on Field 6 were excellent. 8 mins for a 50p shower was more time than enough to wash hair and have a shower. In other blocks, on other fields the showers are only 20p but they will no doubt be upgraded in the future. Excellent, clean facilities, dishwashing room and lovely laundry. Hairdryers, ironing boards etc. All provided and the Carvery on Wed and Sat were excellent and good value for money. Nightly entertainment was varied and generally good. Would definitely use this site again but if you have difficulty walking you could do with a car to get to the Market and the Quick Bite Cafe(opp. Pontins) Great food, cheap, freshly cooked yet quick service. Excellent value for money. Market on Saturdays at Brean Leisure Park was worth a visit.

I absolutely loved this site. It was perfect for us. I don't normally go for commercial touristy places but this is a gem.
We stayed in the Sunnyside area (the quieter area) and it was lovely.
The pitches are a very good size. The dog walk is enormous and includes a farm walk. There are plenty of doggy bins too. There are areas that allow dogs and also areas with no dogs. All areas had a children's playground in the centre. There are plenty of nice clean toilets and showers (50p) and also two bathrooms with full size baths (£1)
At the entrance to the Sunnyside area is the Brean Down Inn which was very dog friendly and served a good selection of food. There is also a chinese takeaway/chip shop.
Across the road is the beach which is dog friendly and the Downs are just up the road which are well worth climbing. The views are fabulous.
There is fishing on site which is free and also other fisheries in the area. Burnham-on-sea is a lovely town with plenty of shops.
I could go on and on about this site and would highly recommend it. Our dog gave it a big 'paws up' aswell!

I dont know if it was the poor weather when we arrived, that clouded(no pun intended) my opinion of this site or not.
We only booked the one night as a stop over on our travels from the cotswolds(cotswold farm park) to Westbury (Brokerswood country park)
We arrived and discovered unlike the name suggested , this was not a farm, or from what I could see no where near a farm but instead just a 3 mile road with tents, statics and tourers.
We checked in at reception and were told to find our own pitch as none had been reserved specifically for us.
We found a decent level pitch, and the E.H.U was close by.
As it was raining we decided to drive to the nearest facillities and check them out.
However we did not stay for long, the pub was crowded (even at 2pm) The childrens indoor play area was very small and jam packed and really noisy (mainly with bored teenagers milling about)
The shop was good and had plenty of stock, and the chip shop was ok.
We had to drive to the fun fair (as it was too far to walk in poor weather), but this the kids loved.
On our way back to the pitch we passed the pub, it looked busy and had two bouncers maning the doors.
Our pitch had been taken up by a tent. We found another pitch.
The toilet block is near by and is modern but as already pointed out costs 50p and is opperated by a machine at the end of the row.
The showers were nice and hot though.
The toilet block was not that tidy when I used it and there was a blood soaked tissue left by the sinks.
Just another point on our way to the next site we passed a fishery that sold cider.
The fishery looked good but the cider cost about 50% more than it should and tasted sour.
Riches farmhouse cider is only a stones throw away and is excellent,it also has a farm shop and resteraunt.

We arrived one rainy windy Monday morning, but the welcome was definitely warm, all sunshine and smiles. The information pack we were given was really good.
Pitching our brand new shadow800(for the first time ever) in field 6 without enough pegs, in a squall, with three screaming kids under 6, didn't put me in the best of moods; however my long suffering wife discovered the reception was well equipped with ample tents pegs to fulfill every need. As soon as we were pitched the sun came out, and the children were able to use the excellent play area in field 6 while I filled our water carrier.
Entertainment
This site is very good for family's making the transition from other types of holidays to a camping lifestyle choice. Entertainment is available at the Beachcomber Inn, and there is an excellent sports field to run off steam for kids (and parents with hypertension). I also noted a gentleman did the rounds in his truck ensuring all was well in camp (and he always smiled and waved) which was very reassuring.
Ablutions
The washrooms looked newly tiled and were very clean, the Showers were a bit of a challenge. The best way is to pick your cubicle, undress into a large towel and dash to the pay machine, pop your money in and dash back. Make sure you put enough money in for the length of shower you are used to otherwise its a soapy fumble in your pocket and a return to the slots and a slippy dash back. I couldn't find a way of adjusting the temperature of the shower no problem for me, but my wife felt it would be too hot for the children.
Food
I highly recommend the food at the Beachcomber Inn. For medical reasons (and our own sanity) our children have to follow the feingold diet which can make dining out a minefield, but the staff were really helpful and the food was brilliant. The pirate ship climbing frame in the beer garden was a hit with our kids, and our normally shy eldest daughter made some Friends.
The on-site shop is as you would expect, luckily Strongbow was on special so I was a happy man :-).
There is shed loads to do in the area, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole a must see, and also the Animal Farm, all within a short distance. Note you can cash your Tesco club vouchers in on their website for quadruple their face value for cheap entrance into many attraction in the uk this includes Wookey Hole and the Animal Farm.

Can not fault this site! Good pitches, clean toilet blocks, reasonably priced shops, very quiet even at busy times, free archery and rock climbing/abseiling every Tuesday & Thursday on football field. Market on site Wednesdays. Great pubs, 2 local, others within pleasant walking distance, all reasonably priced. Recommended!

We had a lovely stay at this site.
Very friendly with lots of clean toilet blocks in each field and hot water.
Although site was busy as you would expect in August I was pleased that the evenings were not really loud. You heard the late ones come back from the entertainment but never really noisy, not like some sites I have stayed on.
The wardens are really nice and they kept an eye on things day and night and any trouble people were asked to leave.
The beach was straight across the road and the entertainment was just outside the camp in a very large pub. The children loved the evening entertainment and music. Food was also good.
There are plenty of play areas around the site with a football field and basketball area, also a dog walking area.
Other than the bad weather(wet and very windy)we enjoyed this site and felt safe.
I hope to return next year.

Stayed on sunnyside with electric hook up. Toilets and showers ok but could do with more sweeping, especially after grass mowers have been out. The doorstaff at the beachcomber club are very vigilant and make sure no groups of teenagers are hanging around, with a family group of two eighteen year old, two sixteen and one thirteen year old we were questioned every time we went in about who they were and their ages, it was a bit heavy handed but maybe they have had some problems. We found a bar called The Place was very nice to sit and have a quiet drink and has a verranda at the front so you can sit and watch everyone going by. I must admit I found the constant "breeze" a bit wearing when you went on the beach you were lashed by the sandstorms, and this is not the prettiest part of Somerset, more like a low key version of Towyn in North Wales. As regards to the 50p for a shower, go to the bathrooms situated on the static area of this massive site, located near bunnies supermarket, they are free! perhaps is they had planted a few more shrubs and bushes the site would have appealed a bit more to me, not a place I would return to and nothing in the area to do that does not involve driving.
