It was the first attempt at family camping. We were very impressed with the standards of the facilities. The toilets were very clean. There were hook up facilities but we did not use them as we only stayed for one night

There was a play area in the field which meant we could put up the tent an watch the children play. The play barn was excellent for the children. We also had a free tractor ride and the children were kept amused by helping put the animals to bed.

The Beachcomber pub again fantastic for the family, good play area so we could have a drink in peace. The food was basic but very nice.

Overall excellent value for money, close to the beach. We will be back for a longer visit.

This is a super site. We have just had a long weekend here and have enjoyed every moment. The ablutions are spotless and cleaned several times a day, the staff are very nice and the site itself is spacious, pleasant and well kept. The pitches are large and very level, with plenty of room for the children to play. The site has a few play areas, a fishing lake, a well stocked and reasonably priced shop, a takeaway, amusement arcade and just offsite it's own pub.

We found the pub was a bit too busy for us and took a short walk along the small coast road (turn left out of the entrance) to another pub with plenty of room (this pub also does food) The beach is very close by, in fact just across the lane and is flat and quite pleasant and just up the road are plenty of seasidey things to go and spend money on if you wish.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselfs and found the site ACE even though it was busy during the half term, this is a place to which we will return.

First time camping (Coleman Columbia 10), stayed for 2 nights with children and the in laws! Chose this park after reading good reviews on this site, and stayed on Sunnyside field 11. The site was excellent, showers and toilet blocks spotless and pitch fairly level and right next to play area, which was great to keep the children amused whilst we set up the tent. The only down side was the weather on the second night, the wind proved to be better than a lot of the tents, although we only managed to lose a couple of pegs, so must have done something right. Others managed to nearly lose their tents and ended up sleeping in their cars! This site was a great place to ease us into camping and gets a big thumbs up from all of us.

Field 6 has electric hook up and all sanitation blocks are kept very clean and tidy. All members of staff are very helpful. Also in every field there is a park for children - the facilites are chained up after nine every evening. I have stayed at this site several times and we are still going back.

There is a great family pub just around the corner. The beach is a stones throw away, which is great too. There are lots of things to go and see like Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, and a bit closer for those people that don't want to travel is a fair ground and entertainment. This is 5 mins walk from camp site. This site comes highly recomended.

We stayed at Warren farm at the end of March 2006 and stayed in Field 6 as part of the UKCampsite.co.uk Members Meet.

We arrived late the night before and were able to stop in the Beachcomber Inn carpark, where there is even fresh water on tap and electric hookups!!

The reception opened at 8.30am on our day of arrival and we were greeted by a friendly lady who explained the layout of the site and showed us where the field was on the map.  Upon arriving on the field, we were met by the field warden, who took the time to advise where the sun set, where the facilities were etc. and we pitched based on this.

The first thing I will say, is that this site is very close to the coast and the wind whips in across the site from the Bristol channel, so make sure you either pitch right, or ensure you have some storm straps!

The site is very flat and is split into different fields seperated by hedges and small ditches, these are fenced off making it safer for the younger ones.

Each field has its own play-area, which is a fantastic idea, and means the children can go off and play without having to walk a long way and this ensures that they are always within sight.

The facilities were well maintained and always clean everytime I used them, the showers were 20p a time, but to be honest the 20p lasted for so long, it was more than sufficient for me and my children to shower.

The bins area and Elsan points were always kept clean and well maintained.

The ground did not seem to drain that well, but it had been a wet week prior to our stay.

There is allsorts on site including fishing lakes, a pets corner, shops, chipshop, pub serving good value food, we ate out there and were happy with the food and the service time.  Beers served were the usual, Guiness, Budweiser, Carling etc, no premium lagers on tap though which was a shame!

The beach is a short walk away, but be warned, this is the not the best beach in the world, due to the sinking sand and wind, a beach that I avoided to be honest.

There are many walks from the site, including a nice walk to the bottom of the downs, and for the more energetic, up the downs too, which provides magnificent views across Brean!

The small shop on sites is well stocked for essentials, but for a better value shop, there is a mini-market half a mile from the site, and a Tesco superstore in Burnham-on-Sea.

Brean Leisure Park is down the road with amusements, swimming pool, bowling and loads of family fun.

Cheddar Gorge, Wells, Glastonbury etc. are all close by in the car and make for a nice day out.

Overall a nice flat family site, that I would visit again, just watch that wind!

This was our first time camping in a tent. We have two young children and through this would be a good place to start, Well we were on sunside they was not many people they due to the time of the year, however the site was very clean and tired,Shower and Toilet were very good it cost 50p a shower and you got about 10min they were lovely and hot. The staff were very helpful and would do anything for you it was not a problem, the shop was very highly priced and did not have a lot of things we needed again I think this was due to the time we went. Would go a again but in the summer time as most of the site was shutting down.

 August 2005
Just returned from a week in field five at Warren Farm. Very busy site with large pitches and children everywhere, not only on foot but on bikes and roller boots, none seem to know the rules for the road stop and look. The amount of times nearly had them on my bonnet is crazy. No parents to be seen !
The best showers to use are the ones near to Bunnies shop. Never needed to put a 20p in as there was always plenty left in, enough to shower myself and my husband and always hot.
Didn’t think much of the entertainment in the Beachcomber, Comedian and hypnotist were good but that’s about all. Price of drinks expensive.
Disappointed at the chip shop closing at 10pm and nowhere in walking distance for a supper. Never ventured up to the Chinese as it was too far on foot and food would be cold when walked back.
There is a free bus to cheddar 2/3 times a week but all the time fully booked.
Never been on a site before, when the gate was locked at 10pm we thought we were locked out so for the first 4 nights we were in by 10pm. This spoilt our evenings out, then when we enquired with the warden on site we were told about the small side opening, for cars only to use when the gate is locked. We think this should be mentioned when booking in, we were not the only ones without this knowledge.
If we were in the area again we would use the site again.
Overall it was a good base.

This is the largest campsite we have ever used, and unfortunately it was not for us (family of four, 2 girls aged 4 and 6). The site was very busy, which is to be expected in the summer holidays, and was subsequently noisy. The pub was quite chaotic after 6pm, however we did visit and sat outside with the children as there is a good play area.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the shop was always well stocked and the shower block near our pitch on Field 6 was quite old fashioned, although it was always clean. The showers were 20p and the amount of hot water varied depending when you took a shower. A couple of times we used them around 9am and paid our 20p and got cold water, so avoided this time for the rest of the visit.

One worrying incident occurred on the site behind ours, their site had a drain on it and this overflowed, the maintenance men were there quickly, however there was raw sewage pumping onto the grass, once the blockage was cleared (it was almost touching their tent), the grass was sprayed with a hosepipe and left - I'm glad that wasn't our pitch, be careful not to pitch near a drain.

Having said that the site is in a good location for the surrounding area, and brilliant for the beach, it just wasn't our cup of tea.

Hi
We have just got back from Warren Farm and have had a fantastic first caravanning holiday in Field 6.
Extremely clean site, staff very friendly, brilliant for the kids who could play just outside the van, so we got to relax and they had some freedom.
The tractor ride on a Fri and Sat is amazing- 25 mins all over the fields and the site, we saw cygnets and a heron and the boys liked the cows who didn't want to get out of the way.
The play barn was fun, cafe/fish and chip bar very tasty and the chinese takeaway definitley recommended.
Only advice is to try and find out the tide tables before you go as when the sea goes out it is gone for miles , so if you pick the wrong week all you will get is sand.
Just want another caravan site as good in the Weymouth area now.
Thanks to all the reviewers and this site as it gave us a fantastic informed holiday. Rowena

My family and I (boy 5yrs, girl 14yrs) have just returned from a fab stay at Warren Farm. This was my first attempt at camping since a bad experience of cold showers and wet fields as a 14year old on a school trip! I need not have worried. This site was welcoming and friendly from the moment you arrive at reception till the moment you leave. Despite being mid August, the facilities and site were kept spotlessly clean, and no matter when you visited the toilets and showers (20p for a good 15 mins)were warm, clean and spacious. The pitches at Warren Farm are large 'choose your own spot' pitches. Loads of room to put up gazebos / pup tent and still have a big space from your nearest neighbour.

All the facilities you expect; laundry room, good size indoor dishwashing, water points etc. Added bonus of Chip Shop, Chinese Take Away, cafe, pub, supermarket. Indoor play barn and amusements for the kids, with lots of outdoor play equipment and free organised events such as animal petting, tractor rides, archery and climbing. I found the cheap hire facilties really useful- ice blocks (20p a day) and iron hire 50p for 2 hours.

The only thing I got caught out with was not bringing a windbreaker, which I bought from the on site supermarket (same price as market), as the wind does get up around 4.30 each day even on the very hot days we enjoyed during our stay.

Locally don't miss out on the Animal Farm Adventure Park, which offers fantastic value for money. On the other hand, Brean Leisure Park only offers value for money if you have children who love the fair. £17.99 for a wrist band or tokens (£2 - £3 per ride.) We went during the Bristol Balloon Festival which was a great day out. Bath and Wells are also a short trip out. Supermarkets off site; Lidl in Burnham (10mins), Tesco in Weston S Mare (20 mins).

We are already looking forward to visiting again next summer, and plan to convince family and friends to do the same.

Hope you enjoy your holiday as much as we did!
