We decided to go for a long weekend at Warren Farm, which is the furthest we have gone for camping as we live in Essex and normally set a 2hr drive criteria for a weekend.
We stayed on the Sunnyside pitches, which were flat and grassy and had play areas running through the middle of it, so it was great to relax and see the kids.
The site is nice and quiet and am glad we chose the Sunnyside field. The toilet block was nice and clean with enough cubicles and stalls.
At the back of the pitching field is a large open field were you can let your dog off lead and have a walk around the fields behind and play a game of frisbeee or kick a ball, whatever you want, plenty of room.
Just across the road from the entrance is an opening to the beach which is lovely and you could happily spend the day there, although the walk to the end where the rocks and cliff face are is deceptively long from this point, I would recommend just driving down there if you have small ones, not a fun walk back after you have walked there, took ages, plus you can drive your car onto the beach.
At the entrance to the Sunnyside site, there is a pub and Chinese/chippy, food was good enough although a little pricey, but you are in the middle of nowhere so expect that.
The fishing lake was tough going, I wasted some time there, not a bite to boilie or maggot.Yep, not even maggot.
Behind the lake is a fenced off area with a couple of football pitches which my boys were glad for. There was a game going on in one pitch made up of all kids who were on site, which was nice.
The site does make a great base for the area, we went to cheddar gorge which is always lovely, our kids just love visiting 'the stone shop'.
Good site, I would go back and choose the Sunnyside again.

We have been to warren farm twice a year for the past 3 years,
we have 2 young children 10 and 5 who love going to brean,
warren farm is a great site with plenty around to do, the main shower block is fantastic with excellent showers that are always kept nice and clean,
the dog walking fields are very good,
If you like your cider, I would definitely recommend going to the brean down inn and try the black rat, goes down like apple juice and after 5 or 6 pints, you'll certainly know about it!
If you like walking go down to the end and walk along the brean down, it gets a bit windy but a lovely walk.
All in all, would recommend warren farm, we will still continue to go there

Great place to camp very friendly people made to feel welcome.
Toilet/shower blocks very clean and tidy wardens worked very hard. Washing machine/dryers on site washing up facilities very good.
Good dog walks on site plenty of dog bins. It has a fishing lake but can't comment has we did not fish but was lovely to walk around.
Beachcomer put to the site great food and staff only thing I would have liked is a closed in shelter outside to eat my meals because I have a dog.
Dogs are not allowed inside it was very windy when I was there. But I would stop at this site again

We visited Warren Farm early in May and enjoyed the drive to the campsite, calling at a local farm to sample their cider and cheese. We found the site easily enough and found the lady on reception to be very helpful.
We parked on field 6, next to the toilet block. These were very clean and very modern looking. Showers cost 50p for 8 minutes.
Brean Sands was very windy during our stay but was enjoyable. The Beachcomber pub had a reasonably priced lunch time menu and the staff were very welcoming.
The site proved a great base for visiting local towns.
We will be returning during the summer holidays complete with children on this occasion

We stayed here twice in a few weeks. Once for the royal wedding weekend with just the two of us and our dog and once in May for a meet with approximately 12 other units and their dogs and families.
Both times we stayed in field 11 but for the group meet this was pre-booked with the site. They are happy to accommodate group bookings and as the meet was for our dogs this site was very appropriate as it has to be the most dog friendly place on earth!
The site facilities are excellent and the rates are very reasonable although they do seem to get a little pricey around bank holidays. The showers and toilet block were very clean and in fact won a ‘loo of the year’ award.
Although showers cost 50p for 8 minutes, this seems fairly reasonable when offset against the very reasonable pitch prices. The pitches do feel a little close together but not uncomfortably so.
The Brean Down Inn pub is right outside the entrance to field 11 and we stopped there for a drink. Although we didn’t try it the food came highly recommended to us and the pub is dog friendly and they are also allowed inside.
The Beachcomber pub is a little further along the busy main road and outside the main entrance was not so dog friendly and we were only allowed to sit at the front of the pub and not even allowed in their main garden area with her!
Although we don’t have any children we could see that they are very well catered for with play areas, playing fields and a play barn. There is also a delightful mini farm. The real plus for us on this site is the total dog friendliness.
Behind the site there are fields and fields of ‘off lead’ dog walking areas. There are lovely little lakes and a big fishing lake at the back of the. In addition to this the beach is right opposite the field 11 entrance accessed by an alleyway opposite the Brean Down Inn.
The beach is huge and very dog friendly. There is plenty of room for everyone on the beach and there a lots of horse riders and water sports to be seen. One word of warning is to be careful if you try to walk to the main car park of the beach from the site.
The pavement disappears and the road is incredibly busy with lorries and caravans hurtling towards you which is a bit scary! The reception staff were very friendly and you were allowed to select your own pitch which is very nice.
Wardens are not readily visible on this site and during our 2nd stay one of our friends had a few problems with rowdy neighbours late into the night but nothing was done.
The site is extremely large but split into several fields all which are easily accessible. There is a well stocked supermarket on site and a fish and chip shop, Chinese takeaway, fishing tackle shop, café and ice cream parlour and a caravan accessories shop all nearby.
There are many places to visit nearby including Burnham on Sea, Weston Super Mare and Glastonbury Tor to name a few.
To summarise this site has excellent facilities and is really good value for money. We will definitely return.

Had a very enjoyable stay. We were extremely pleased with all the facilities. The evenings in the Bar, the clean toilet and wash rooms and the access to the fishing lake were all very good.
We met our friends from Wales there, and are looking forward to a return visit.
While we did not use the children's playbarn the kids that were there made full use of it.
The same goes for the take-away food, it was very well used, so must have been all right. As pensioners we are rather set in our ways and tend to cater for ourselves

All I can say is what a gem ! We loved it so much have booked again later on in the year.
We stayed on field 5 which allowed dogs and have to say was very quiet.
Facilities were second to none - person cleaning toilets/showers 3 times a day - probably about 12 of each. Downside with the showers you had to pay 50p which wasn't a problem but the 50p didn't always take so you ended up putting 2 or 3 in each time which was very frustrating. Reception did give you the money back but couldn't appear to fix the fault as was told this same thing happened last year ?
Anyway on the positive very big site with loads of walks for the dog plus local pub down the road The Bream Down Inn which was very friendly.
More local The Beachcomber which had tribute bands on. Very nice food and have to say very reasonable drinks 2 pints and 2 diet cokes £8.
1 mile up the road you had market plus fair and all usual slotters and about 3 miles away Burham on Sea which we enjoyed visiting.
All in all great value for money with fantastic facilities and entertainment - staff on the site were always friendly and helpful - like I said have booked again !

There are many pluses to write for this site as written in other reviews. The showers and toilets immaculate. The friendliness of the staff, etc. I also found its a birdwatcher's heaven-the walks around the numerous fields and lakes gave me the chance to photograph loads of birds and wild deer.
There were a few downsides though. The showers take 50p and they didn't always work. You have to put the money in the coin slots by the entrance to the toilet block, then go into your cubicle, undress and wait for the shower to come on. When it doesn't you can imagine the frustration.
There was a dog running loose the one day, frightening other dog walkers. The dog done its business opposite our caravan so we phoned the reception to complain. After the third phonecall to them they said they would send someone down. 15 mins later a warden turned up and spoke to the owners of the dog. The warden was shown the dog mess but neither he or the dog owner cleaned it up. There were children playing in the area.
There are loads of dog walking areas there but beware a lot of the owners don't clean up their dog's mess. A shame really as the site has put a lot of hard work into the dog walks.
It can also be a very windy site.
On the whole I would definitely return because of the more plus sides.

What a great site our very first caravanning outing, the site is superb toilet/shower blocks are all excellent, soft play area for the children good.
The beachcomber pub great with good food at fair prices. All staff friendly and helpful. This was a family holiday for 8 of us, 4 adults in a tent, with wife and I in the caravan with our 2 granddaughters.
As this was our first attempt at caravanning could not have picked a better site to make a start. Recommend for family holidays, easy access to the beach.

This was our 3rd visit to this site, we stayed on 'Sunnyside' which is for pets, our dogs love this site with a huge exercise field and the beach is minutes away, the on site shop is excellent with all essentials bread milk etc, showers are 50p for about 10 minutes which is plenty of time.
The site pitches are level and very well drained, plenty of electric hook ups and water and waste points throughout the field, we paid £75-00 for 2 Adults and 2 Children for 5 nights with hook up, we thought this was very well priced.
The site has good access and is easy to find from the M5 about 20 minutes drive heading towards Brean leisure park.
We enjoyed our stay the site was busy but peaceful and this was we felt due to the size of the site with lots of space between units, and would/will be returning soon.
