One of our favourite sites
POSITIVES
Beautiful large site that feels individual
Plenty of greenery
Beautiful views
Easy to get too
Plenty to see and do locally
Quiet
Great for walking dogs around
Very clean facilities
Friendly staff
Full serviced pitches as well as standard
Reasonable cost
NEGATIVES
Not adult only
Shower nowhere to store clothes etc just a small stall one hook and push button
Fair walk from some pitches to showers but we use our own facilities
Would we come again DEFINITELY

Really nice site, large pitch and swift check-in. Definitely return in the future.
This site is clean tidy with lovely views and immaculately kept facilities.
Nice touch having fish and chip van visit site!
Ideally situated for Bakewell and Matlock (places we visited).

Left a day early loud music site was full of beer swiggers
Pitch was good and large don’t get there early as there is a £7 pound fee.
Ok for family’s but the pitches are very open and not private

Also large pitches.
We will visit again definitely. Our two dogs loved the dog walk.
We disliked nothing.

We have just returned from a great 2 night stay at Lickpenny.
The site is immaculate and the wardens were really nice and helpful.
Pizza van on sat night was a nice treat. My 2 children 4 and 11 loved the park and made new friends there.
Our dog loved the forest.
We had a walk to the garden centre through here and had a lovely walk round.
Will be returning soon.

The camp site was extremely well set out and the pitches were plentiful in size sufficient to get van, car and awning space side by side.
Camp staff very friendly and close to pubs and cafes.
Ideal location for us to get into Derbyshire without too much travelling.
Good site for all ages.

Perfect. Perfect weather perfect site. Quiet, private. Dogs welcome. Easy access to dog walks. Staff very friendly.
Immaculate, well cared for.
Toilets and shower spotless.
Easy access to Matlock and surrounding attractions. Lots of shops in Matlock (10 minutes away).
Site close to excellent car boot on Sunday.
Children appeared happy and well catered for.
Incredibly good value.
Cannot think of any way that it could be improved.

Immaculately manicured grounds with spacious pitches.
Dogs all well controlled with designated area for exercising which suits us and our pooch fine.
As a couple of old farts we might ask for a pitch further away from the playground next time but great for families.
Booking in was swift and friendly.
Would definitely return.

We visited lickpenny for three nights from 19/04/22, this was our first time experience in a touring caravan,
I only hope most sites are this impressive,
The people running it are so friendly and helpful
I will definitely book here again and I will use it as my benchmark for all the other places I hope to visit.
